EVENT REVIEW
The final event ended up being dramatic despite the huge lead Rafer had built up. Thorpe finsihed strong and jumped from 5th to 2nd. Kuznetsov ran well and passed O'Brien to take the bronze. The two people I felt would be the favorites coming in, Thompson and O'Brien finished out of the medals. The 8741 score for Johnson is a huge number...he did about as well as he could in a number of events especially the Javelin and Discus. If he even has an average throw in those events Thorpe wins. Plus O'Brien and Thompson were hurt - so is Rafer really the greatest athlete in the world, or just on this....dream...... Oh well...nevermind....now on to the "FOFC's Greatest Athlete" the interactive version... Last edited by Breeze : 08-01-2005 at 04:49 PM. |
