Well we travel to Nashville to take on our nemesis. And they are not very happy with us due to our running up the score on them during Week 1. There offense is weak, but their defense is strong. We really need to get QB Y.A. Tittle on pace. He has been more game manager than game breaker. If we can get him going, we can start taking off. Prediction: Jaguars 20 Titans 19 |

We really needed this win. QB Y.A. Tittle played an outstanding game. And he needed to, because we were trailing until a 77yd bomb in the 4th quarter to WR Terry Lovell. We then held on for the victory. Good game. |

We travel to New York to take on the (0-5) Buffalo Bills. This is a team looking for an identity. They have a strong passing game behind QB Jorge Quiroz, but the rest of their units are pretty poor. I suspect that our offense is back on track and we will beat this team easily. Prediction: Jaguars 24 Bills 13 |

This game was far too close for comfort. The Bills played hard until we scored a couple of late touchdowns in the 4th quarter. QB Y.A. Tittle was magnificent. He is rounding into midseason form. We are heading back home at (3-3) and hope we can go on a roll now. |

So the (2-3) Miami Dolphins travel up the coast to take on the Jaguars. The Dolphins feature a middling offense and defense. On offense, they are lead by rookie first rounder HB Joe Arenas (OVR 79). He is having a decent year and needs to be contained. I am thinking we are going to win and win comfortably. Prediction: Jaguars 27 Dolphins 21 Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-24-2011 at 07:59 PM. |

Well it seems like we are rolling along at the right time. Finally above .500 after the slow 1-3 start. The story of this game was our running game. It was quite dominant. Defensively, we shut the Dolphins down and harassed their QB all game long. Good win. |

We travel to Indianapolis to take on the (1-5) Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have struggled all year long at the QB position. Their starter went down with a torn hamstring in the first game of the season and they have had to play less talented players in that position all year long. Their best offensive weapon is rookie first rounder HB Ben Lawless (OVR 91). He is a very good receiver out of the backfield (18cat/296yds) so our linebackers will have to be on their toes to cover him. Prediction: Jaguars 24 Colts 10 |

We didn't come ready to play this week. They just destroyed us on the ground. HB Ben Lawless showed why he was the 6th pick of the draft. He was dominant. Were it not for the 10 points we scored in the 4th quarter, this would have been a wipeout. We have to get more consistent on the defensive side of the ball and beat the teams we are supposed to be. |

Week 10 Preview:
Well, we head up to Foxboro to take on the (5-3) New England Patriots. On offense, they have rookie 3rd round pick QB Rolland Stone (OVR 42) leading their unit. He has struggle this year (4TD, 10INT) so we can exploit him. The strength of the Patriots is their stiff defense led by rookie 1st rounder DE Andy Robustelli (OVR 93). He is a beast (57 tackles and 11 sacks) and is a leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the year. He has a dislocated finger though, so hopefully this will slow him down. Going to be a tough game. We need this though. Prediction: Jaguars 20 New England 30 |

Well this was a shock. I never expected to go up to Foxboro and dominate the Patriots. Our defense was amazing. FS Doug Dube may be putting a claim in for a Pro Bowl berth. He now has 6 INT's on the year. DE Gene Black has 7 sacks on the year and has improved immensely from last year's disappointing season. I sure hope our defense can sustain this effort. UPDATE: After simulating the week, DE Gene Black has been named the NFL Defensive Player of the week. Good job! Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-25-2011 at 08:09 PM. |

Time to begin our push to the playoffs! The next three games are at home and we must take advantage of this. This week, the San Diego Chargers come to town. They are pretty poor offensively, but HB George Taliaferro (OVR 92) is still a very dangerous player that demands attention. If we control him, we win the game. Their rookie QB does not possess the skils to hurt us. Prediction: Jaguars 31 Chargers 17 Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-25-2011 at 08:16 PM. |

Very tight game. Without QB Y.A. Tittle's heroics, good defense in the 4th quarter and rookie LB Carlos Kemp's amazing interception with 1:34 left in the game, the result could have been much different. Our passing game has not been very productive this year, and this is putting undue pressure on my running game. Luckily, we were able to run the ball effectively. UPDATE: QB Y.A. Tittle was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Week. Good job!! Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-25-2011 at 08:28 PM. |

Having won 5 of our last 6 games, the AFC South division leading (8-2) Houston Texans travel to Jaguars stadium to take us on. This is the game of the year so far. Houston is still led by their MVP candidate HB Charlie Trippi (OVR 90). His numbers are amazing this year (1252yds rushing, 10TD). He killed us both games last year. Our one advantage this game is Houston is playing their 3rd string QB Paul Guerra (OVR 15). Their first two QB's are injured and Guerra is the man this game. He played fairly well last week (22/30 237yds 3TD 2INT), but I suspect our pass defense will give him problems this game. Prediction: Jaguars 17 Texans 14 |

Good all around effort this game. Our running game kept the Texans offense (and HB Charlie Trippi) off of the field, which was critical. Our defense got a few timely turnovers and we jumped to a nice lead and never looked back. The (1-10) Seattle Seahawks travel to Florida to take on my 7-4 Jaguars. The Seahawks have struggled all year long behind their rookie 1st round QB Rory Hoover(OVR 49). It has been a mediocre year for Hoover (6TD, 8INT) but he does have a nice weapon at his disposal. Pro Bowl WR Lester Shifflett (OVR 59) has been dominant this year, when he has gotten the ball (84cat/949yds). I expect the Seahawks to go to him early and often. On defense, they are pretty physical and are not easy to pass against, so our running game will be key this game. Prediction: Jaguars 34 Seahawks 21 |

We head down to Arizona to play the (5-7) Arizona Cardinals. We have to win this game to stay in the Wildcard hunt. We are currently the 6th seed in the AFC and can not afford to lose that spot. The Arizona Cardinals hav some players on the Offensive side of the ball. On defense, they are hard to run on and they are anchored by their 6'6" 326lbs 2nd round draft choice DT Daniel Felix (OVR 72). He has 80 tackles and 6 sacks and is practically an immovable object in the middle of their defense. This game is going to be a close one. Man, did we need this win. QB Y.A. Tittle was amazing. We are going to ride his arm and his legs the rest of the season. Our WR's had a very nice game and made some very big catches. Lastly, LB Carlos Kemp did not make many tackles, but those 2 interceptions he made just shows how athletic he is. Both of those catches were amazing displays of athleticism. |

The (6-7) Indianapolis Colts travel down south to play our Jaguars. The Colts have been hot winning 6 of their last 8 games. This game was a tale of two halves. The Colts owned the first 20 mintues of the game. We owned the other 40 minutes. QB Y.A. Tittle is putting up MVP type numbers. He will probably end of with 3,000yds passing and 1,000yds rushing. Just simply amazing. Our running game punishes the Colts front seven and did not allow their suddenly potent offense on the field. Our special teams bears watching. They have allowed far too many TD returns. May have to make a move here. |

Well we are on the road for our last two games. And they are super tough. We travel to Cleveland to take on the (11-4) Cleveland Browns. They are the defending AFC Champions and have a very talented team. On offense, they are led by Pro Bowl QB Otto Graham. And his main weapon is last year rookie of the year (and probably this year's MVP) HB Ken Carpenter. This monster has almost 2,400 all-purpose yards this season. Just an incredible player. On defense, they are led by last year's defensive player of the year DE Len Ford. He has been hurt the last few weeks, but is probable this game and has been a maniac pass rusher (16 sacks). This is going to b a hard game for us to win. Prediction: Jaguars 13 Cleveland 28 Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-25-2011 at 11:25 PM. |

Using my own personalized formula to judge and evaluate players from different positions, I have awarded the following:
Jaguars Offensive MVP - QB Y.A. Tittle (2 years in a row) Jaguars Defensive MVP - LB Carlos Kemp (barely beating out DE Gene Black) Jaguars Rookie of the Year - T Wayne Siegert No surprises here. Truth be told, Siegert was the second best player on the team besides Tittle. Siegert did not allow a sack all year long and had 50 pancake blocks. He was dominant. |

Wildcard Playoffs Preview:
Well, we travel to the Oakland Coliseum to take on the (10-6) Oakland Raiders. The Raiders' strength is their versatile offense. They feature a nice tandem running game (HB Elmo Watts and HB Joseph Squires, both rookies) and their offensive star is 1st rounder WR Chad Fields (OVR 96). Fields had a very nice year (96cat/1186yds 6TD) and will challenge our secondary down the field. Defensively, the Raiders have no standouts, but feature a hard-hitting secondary that will punish receivers down the field. I am not sure how to gauge this game as we are pretty evenly match. It is going to be a tough game. Prediction: Jaguars 10 Raiders 13 |

1952 NFL Draft (1st round):
When it gets to my pick, I can not believe the player that is available to us at this point. We had him pegged at least going in the top 10. There is no discussion. We race our pick to the commisioner: "With the 21st pick of the 1952 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select..... DE Bob Howton from Rice University" Here is a look at his player card: Though he is a tad bit on the light side, his speed is undeniable and will give us a big time pass rusher on the left side our our defensive line. Here is the rest of my draft: 2nd - G Duane Putnam (Pacific - OVR 80) 3rd - C Lou Levanti (Illinois - OVR 66) 4th - WR Armando Harrington (Illinois - OVR 51) 5th - HB Billy Baggett (LSU - OVR 49) 6th - T Christopher Willoughby (Notre Dame - OVR 33) 7th - CB Randall Mayes (Sam Houston State - OVR 28) Last edited by Dolemite73 : 11-26-2011 at 09:07 AM. |
