Yay, I've got a brush with celebrity over here! Apparently the stalker is some VP for my company, and works in my building. I didn't see them, but I heard there were FBI agents here looking into his travel expenses or something. I'll keep y'all posted.

When I was traveling for business I often tried to get the same room. Since pretty much every hallway looks the same it's pretty annoying to go out the door in the morning and be completely turned around from where you think you are. Of course, in a fire, being turned around like that could be a real problem.

Plus, and this happened to me as well, if you stay in the same hotel enough but keep changing rooms (& floors) you sometimes end up hunting for your room, or even the right floor, because you can't remember where you are this time.

All of this is easily solved by yourself, of course, but hotels want to be accommodating (no pun intended) to business travelers and know that giving them a room they request for these reasons goes a long way towards building goodwill.
