I'm so...so...so excited at the possibility of my next pick.
*edit* I also just now realized that this is a snake draft. Scoreballs

I have 2 picks lined up.I am hopeful that i get one of them. One would have been my pick if MASH had been off the board.

I thought about this long and hard at work, and had two that I couldn't decide between. In the interest of moving things along, I have chosen one.
2.2 Best Gunshot Death- Tommy gets whacked, Goodfellas

Possibly going further off the reservation, but again sticking with TV, sticking with more recent over classics, HBO's The Wire is clearly revered by many here, and I want to make sure I get the first Wire pick in, and get the most noteworthy death in the series.

I considered Stringer Bell. I was a little worried about how recognized it would be, particularly in conjuction with other choices I may make later on. The question is, will my tv death be even less recognizable by the time I get to it?
Good pick.

Geez, that's a monster spoiler - I know people have been warned, though.

Yeah I really hope anyone who is in the process of watching the show realizes that its going to come up at some point in a draft of tv/movie character deaths. I'd spoiler tag it but its got to show up in the draft lists for voting so people can fully mock me anyway |

Thanks, Ronnie...long way to go, obviously.
Yeah, tv is gonna be much tougher, obviously, as TV shows generally don't have main characters die, seeing as how, uh, they want the show to keep going. Should be interesting, though.

While some will probably like the picks, I've never watched The Wire or The Shield so you won't be making my list unless your other picks blow me away.

I'[m getting together a pick to send to DeTox because I'm about to leave and I'm up after this pick. I think I have a backup pick to go with it, but if it goes 10 or 11 picks to roll around to me again I will try to get a list to DeTox before the night is over.

I fought between two options in this category, but I think this one is the better of the two. It may be a little earlier, and there may be a better choice here, I don't know at this point. I am not a movie guy and I have a horrible memory about the details of movies and tv shows that I do see. Having said that, without further ado...

Nice pick, deacon.
I was also thinking about William Wallace, but I don't appreciate Braveheart as much as some do, so I wasn't sure about pulling the trigger on it.

I see Bucc lurking in this thread. I get the feeling we're going to be treated to a soliloquy on how much ToD sucked.

ToD is not worth the effort anymore.
So far, I see the picks falling into two categories: safe and risky. I think there are movies and show, therefore deaths, that would be recognizable to most of the voters. Then there are those picks that either you get it or you don't. Shield, as mentioned, is one; so is The Wire. |

Too high % on the Seinfeld, imo. You might be right about MASH but there's a big difference - a lot more have heard about the MASH death, so it's more famous. |

Dola, let's put it this way more people on FOFC have seen Susan dying then they have any of the other TV deaths so far. In my opinion anyways.

I agree that the Seinfeld pick was very possibly better than the M*A*S*H pick. There is definitely a generational gap in play.
