I'm guessing the Browns are watching this and seeing this as confirmation as to where they want to go in terms of a running game. They may not want to go all out Oregon style but certainly something with this kind of speed.

They'd be better off running something like the Chiefs are running. Much more efficient.

Second week in a row where KC ran it extremely well in the 4th quarter when they needed to do so after a lackluster running game in the first three quarters.

LOL, Nessler just said Chiefs were 3-0 for the first time in forever.

Is 2010 now considered forever? Also known as the last time the Chiefs were AFC West Champions.

Broadcast "Chiefs have chance to go 3-0 for first time in forever"

It was actually 2010.

Fun to see Houston have a great night on sacks right before the Derrick Thomas documentary on Tuesday night. Should be fun to watch highlights of Derrick gettting 7 sacks again.

I think Lathum is pointing out that Thursday games suck because teams have less time to prepare.

I might agree, but I am leaning towards it just being the teams that suck.

Considering the Jets and Pats played to 13-10, it is not just the Eagles.

Besides 2007, the last time the Browns were in the top ten in passing yards was 1987. Not surprisingly, that was also the last time besides 2007 that they were in the top ten in points scored. I wonder if Holmgren realizes that drafting a 28 year old rookie QB in the first round was a mistake yet?

KC did what you have to do, forced mistakes. Alex Smith is the anti Vick, steady and solid. Reminds me of Schaub a little.

Maybe you don' watch the Thursday night games often, but they are sloppy, teams are unprepared, and are generally not pretty football. 3 days between games just isn't enought time, doesn't matter who the teams are.

I would love to see that stat vs. Big Ben and the terrible O line the Steelers have.

Cleveland has an All-Pro tackle and they have given up the most QB hits and sacks. Is the rest of the team escorting the defense to the QB?

I guess the 2012 stat I saw was a little misleading because the other teams up near Indy in QB hits allowed (Philly, Jacksonville, Arizona) all had multiple QB's last year, but when you adjust for Indy being a winning team and not usually in a pass-only situation, Luck takes a lot more hits than other good QB's - even ones like RG3 and Rodgers that are more well known for their running.

The more I think about it, the more it feels like a great deal for the Browns though, getting a decent 1st round pick for a back that isn't worth a 3rd.

It's not hard to replace 3.5 yds/carry. Colts are very likely to lose 9-10 games with their schedule. I think it's the best value they could have gotten for a running back who's really not produced in the NFL and was traded on potential.
