You and dawgfan rock !

Just remember, Fools Gold was only on the American version. The original, british version, ended with "I am the Resurrection." Not a bad ending in itself. However, "Fools Gold" is beyond compare.

No way- you're full of all flavors of crazy

(and you also left off The Night Santa Went Crazy among others. Genius in France is pedestrian, at best)

I've got a top 3, and two are by Radiohead:
1. The Tourist
2. street spirit [fade out]
3. How Many More Times by Led Zeppelin

Obviously, I'm an unabashed Van Halen fanboy, but I've always felt this was an underrated track on a terrific album. It was the last song on the last Roth-era album, although the song actually dates back to their early days (pre-VH1 demos of the song use the VW horn hooked to a volume pedal that they'd end up using on Running with the Devil).

I thought "Happy Trails" was a nice touch on Diver Down. May not be one of the best songs, but a good closer all the same.

edited - Nevermind, I see it has been listed. Should have read the whole thread, oh wells.

I've always thought that Pink Floyd (esp. during the Roger Waters years of course) put a lot of care in their albums' last tracks. Many times the last track was a summation of the album's theme, and often very moving lyrically, and sometimes musically as well.

Consider "Outside the Wall" for a perfect example.

Or "Two Suns in the Sunset" for one that's as powerful lyrically, but the music helps make it into a song which could stand on its own.

Street Spirit is certainly a pretty great closer.

You'll find the second half below the video at the end along with four other tracks from what is arguably Dylan's best album

If nothing else hear the harmonica solo halfway through the second part and/or at the very end. It sends shivers down the spine.
