Spring and Virginia Beach both clinch playoff spots on the final scheduled day of the regular season!

Due to the tied records however, Spring and Virginia Beach will play one game between each other to decide who wins the regular season RL title and homefield advantage in the RLCS.

Since Spring led the regular season series between the two teams, this game will be held at Spring.

- 2B Dave Rafuse of Mexico City sets a new record for triples in a season with 18

- 2B Jose Reyes of Balzac breaks his own record for walks in a season with 170.

- SP Angel Reyes of New York sets a record for complete games in a season with 9

- SP Angel Reyes also breaks his own record for the most home runs given up in a season with 78.

- Three pitches break Mauro Morales's 1965 record for strikeouts in a season, which previously was 304: Jose Rios (Ann Arbor): 336, Ivan Ordonez (New York): 332, and Morales himself set a career high with 318.

- SP Reed Cox of New York sets a record for most walks given up in a season with 165

- SP Tom O'Reilly of Cleveland sets a record for lowest BB/9IP in a season at 0.89

- Jose Rios sets a new record for K/9IP with 11.65

Hey I just noticed that CF Denis was signed by Ann Arbor, who was under .500 last year but a playoff contender this year. Denis was a Type A FA. Will I get a 1st and a supp in the next draft, or the 2nd + supp like the email I got said?

Also noticed they signed MR Ito as well, who was a type B. Any idea how this is all gonna sort out? I didn't get an email saying anything about Ito.

This next draft will be the end of confusion. I'd believe there is 2 FA classes worked into 1 draft so might not be a lot Alan can do. Its fixed for the future though, thats for sure. Type B FA get a supplemental 1st rounder. Spring has 2 picks in that round so are you sure Ito's comp pick isn't already accounted for?

Denis was last year's free agent, so it should have automatically within the game sent over the 2nd round pick to you for him plus added a supplemental pick at the time the free agent was signed.

You should be able to go to the First-Year Player draft order tab and double check at any point during the year to see how it currently is figured, but you should have the #3 pick in the second round from Ann Arbor because of the signing before the season started.

I looked into your emails, I see one for Ito, he was signed two sims ago though, but the supplemental pick for him has been awarded to Spring as well. You should be ok for compensation for him.

Did the HTML upload crap out? I see some of the pages have been updated, but most of the meat and potato ones have not....How can you possibly expect me to get anything done at work if i can't check and see my players stats and rookie development???

Man, my team really shit the bed starting in august and went 6-17 through september, sad. Any tips on why that happened? bad luck? Pitchers crapping out late in the season? I'm not even familiar enough with the game to look into things in detail because I've never played any single-player, haha, I suck.

You constantly run out there small rosters. I think the wear and tear of the season eventually gets to your team while other teams try to keep their players fresh, yours are tired by the time you get to August and September due to having to play ironman baseball every single game.

I would suggest trying to fill up the last 4-5 spots on your roster with servicable players for purpose of just fill ins once every 10-20 days and see if it helps any.

I work very hard to have a backup catcher, a utility infielder or two, and an extra outfielder or two to make sure every position on the field has a backup available for when the starter gets tired.

Not that helps me get to the playoffs very often...

Whiners! I expect to sign 8 fielders and play them every game, how can a baseball player get tired standing (or sitting!) in one spot for 90% of the game? Bitches!!

Thanks for the advice tho, makes sense, baseball players are fat losers but I guess that coded into the game so I'll deal with it

Denis was a FA after the 1968 season, and was signed in the period right before the 1969 season started. He was a Type A. Ann Arbor had a top 6 record the season right after signing Denis, making their 1st pick eligible for loosing, so to speak. The 1st pick should be mine, not their 2nd.

Yep you are right, this is the bug why I'm moving the draft to before the season now instead of after. So I don't have to figure things like this out every season. Sorry about that.

I'll fix that when we get to the draft. You might want to remind me though to make sure I don't forget.

Thanks Alan. I'm sorry if my tone was little off on that post. I'm just getting nervous about this team and its depth, and the extra 1st is really going to help that out. I'm letting good guys walk lately to try and build things up some, so I need every last high pick I should be getting.

Again, thanks for being that guy. The work you do and put up with to work around the bugs in these games amazes me sometimes.
