Pryor with another INT. This one though was a hell of a play by Purdue's DB.

Roy Williams and Adrian Peterson have both said Stoops never tried to convince them to stay, I believe.

If you want to blame anyone for Bradford coming back (other than Sam himself), blame Gresham, Gerald McCoy and Trent Williams. I think the 4 of them (probably McCoy the most of all) kind of pushed each other to give it another shot.

As for the game itself, I'm very impressed with what Venables is doing defensively. His scheme is really throwing Colt McCoy off, and it's a huge step forward from the crap he did last year. Unfortunately, the offense is unable to make it count (field goals instead of touchdowns) and keeps losing the football. That makes for a very dangerous situation in a game that OU looks to be dominating so far.

Good post and good synopsis of the game.

Was that Tirico who just said Sam Bradford is a consensus #1 pick next year? Whoever it was, I think they might want to consider that teams could be scared off by this recent spat of injuries. Regardless of his reasons for coming back, I think Bradford cost himself a lot of money.

We've replaced the Ohio State Buckeyes with the Ohio Bobcats. Let's see if they notice.

Yikes. Just had the misfortune of hearing the national network (Westwood?) radio coverage of OU-Texas. It was like listening to Dick Vitale doing football while on crystal meth.

Incomplete pass under pressure on 4th down. Purdue ball with 2:18 left, Ohio State has 2 timeouts left.

Pryor is not a QB.

I think it is hurting his NFL potential and Ohio State's success.

wow. Purdue runs a crappy little WR screen on 3rd and 9, looks like OSU is going to get the ball back... but the OSU defender tackles the receiver by the face mask, 15 yard penalty, 1st down purdue, game over. 26-18.

Tressel made the promise to make him an NFL QB...all in the name of getting him to OSU. I'm sure they figured they could make him into one so it would workout okay. Time to re-evaluate that promise.

I am amazed Pryor believed that BS anyway. No offense to OSU, but it's not an NFL QB hotbed.

The Texas / OK game has to be one of the worst games I have seen in a while for turnovers. I don't understand how anyone of the teams is considered that good.

And, another turnover in the Texas / OK game.

It is a beautiful day in Texas, so I just don't get it

You're right. Defenses don't ever have anything to do with those.

You're right, they do.

Not this game though (save for that last Texas INT at the sideline).

I'm surprised to see DJ over Wingo/Davis, honestly. DJ has 4.3 speed, but I like Wingo better in traffic. I think Wingo is at least on par speed-wise, too. True freshman is probably the reason.

Yeah I kind of thought Wingo would get the nod, as he seems to have improved as the season's gone on.

With my Mizzou gold glasses on I think we have a really good chance. From the outside we couldn't hold off the only quality opponent we have played this year. I think a lot of it depends on the real extent of Gabbert's injury. Can't wait for tonight though. You can't beat Sat night away games!!!

(Agree with a poster on tigerboard that Mizzou/Texas will definitely be 7 PM regardless of what Mizzou does as ABC wants to follow the Texas national title hunt and not three loss OU vs Kansas)

On their 2nd drive, USC had 3 mid-long range pass plays to march down the field for a TD. Ended with a TD from Barkley to Williams.

Well had to be a cheap bastard and take Texas -3.5 at even money and avoid the $10 juice for the 1/2 point. So instead of being out $10 I am out $50.
