How does it determine who gets the #1 pick if there is a tie?

In the case the teams are in the same league and have played each other, there are actually tiebreakers it uses. In the case of teams completely separate from each other, I think it uses something dumb and unrelated (either team id or alphabetical or something like that)

Question for Alan...how did you get a 3-game series at the end of the year between Portland/Spring?

I assume you mean how did I do the best of 3 series to break the tie? If that is what you mean, I do it manually by hand each game. It is a pain, but the only way to do it.

You have to do it before the season ends and it flips to playoff mode, so what I do on the last game if there is a chance of a tie is hit the quick sim button on the games that are meaningful to the playoff picture. (and do not hit the sim day button). If after those specific games run we end in a tie, I then go and schedule the additional games before finishing out that day.
