Notre Dame is the only team to not trail at any point this season.

I still don't have much faith in the team(they really should have lost the Michigan game if Robinson hadn't crapped the bed), but there's no way Kelly wasn't going to build something special at some point.

Too bad there isnt a playoff system this season. Alabama, WVU, Oregon and South Carolina would have been awesome.

FSU belongs. I figure before the playoffs start there has to be one genuine epic BCS mess. This might be the year. If Oregon, FSU, WVU, and the SEC champ are sitting there undefeated, good luck picking who takes on the SEC champ.

Damn, that screwed up snap on 3rd down after the WVU fumble was the difference in the game. Congrats to WVU on the win.

Yep, sorry about that. That was quite a shank by Fera (although I should have said *some* fans since I know all PSU guys didn't hold a grudge).

Great game. Ash is a player.

Our defense isn't good by any means, but after listening to the media overreact all week over the Baylor game it was good to see the defense play as well as you could expect considering the circumstances.

It's grown geek football. With the suspensions and 'Bama coming in next week, I doubt their heads where in the game.

I know I am getting way ahead of myself but there's a chance Penn State and Ohio State could finish 1-2 in the Leaders Division and the 3rd place team will go to the Big Ten Championship.

Fixed. Also, 80 points by Nebraska and OSU with 5:50 to go in the 3rd.

Several factors I think.

IMO the biggest reason is the rise in popularity of the no huddle. You're seeing the 1st generation of coaches that coached under Leach and guys like him get coaching jobs in other places. You're also seeing guys that a generation ago would have been on defense a chance to play offense. 20 years ago Tavon Austin is very likely a corner to be perfectly honest. No team would put a guy like him on defense now.

#31 on Florida State should be facing a minimum one game suspension for his actions on that final play.

Watch the replay, the guy catches the ball, he lines him up and he goes helmet to helmet on him. They rightly called a 15 yard penalty. Those are the sorts of plays I wish they would kick a guy out of the game and suspend him for the next one just as a start.

It's one of those situations where he can consider himself lucky the NC State guy wasn't laying motionless on the ground for 10 minutes. If that had been the case, I can promise you he would have had the suspension. That was horrible.

It's always amusing to hear from the fan base after Georgia pulls an inevitable (2-14 since 2008 years vs teams that finish in the Top 25, including 10 straight losses) folding routine.

The peanut gallery at ajc.com is not disappointing me tonight. Here's a brief sample

New Rule: 21 point Mercy Rule in Oregon games.

Which means most games will be over before halftime.

Great win for WVU tonight!

Really glad we didn't end up losing a close one after Buie fell down just before the half (had to settle for a FG). He made up for it, but I had that in the back of my mind the whole second half.

Should have another tough one next week @ Texas Tech.

It would be less predictable if they were well coached in discipline, fundamental (like tackling) and in the playbook. Lots of examples of such. But Troy is right, only one was stunning.

Just saw the score. I'm still waiting for FSU to join the elite that they seem to get hyped into being.

Meyer continues to send out warning shots to the rest of the Big Ten for what he's going to build. He's going to destroy some teams before he's done. Michigan is the only team that has a shot at keeping up in terms of recruiting.

Not considering the history. Here are the results of the past four games with NC State against ranked Florida State teams.

2012: NC State 17 #3 Florida State 16
2010: NC State 28 #16 Florida State 24
2006: NC State 24 #16 Florida State 20
2005: NC State 20 #8 Florida State 15

Local (i.e. Athens) sports editor provides an interesting fact.

Interesting stat: Richt's teams were 7-2 in regular-season games after loss to ranked opponent in first 5 seasons. They're 6-6 since.

As you might suspect, I had a grand old time watching the SC-UGA game last night. No small part of it was from a fair bit of back & forth on Facebook with a few die hard Mutts.

Thing is, nobody got mad, nobody even really got their (Damon Evans brand) panties in a bunch. Thing is, I'm not sure if that's 'cause we're friends or if we're friends because they have a little pinch of perspective.

Either way, it was a hella pleasant after several years of running into people who might take stuff just a tad too seriously.

Thanks scoob. As one who was in a college marching band, I have always appreciated what bands like this bring to the game, as they are part of the sports program and team. Remember when the TV networks would spend all of halftime showing the marching bands? Now it's just a bunch of self-important talking heads and over-produced CGI that fills the time.

But we also remember when "Up With People" was the SB halftime show and the Kilgore Rangerettes were a big TV draw on Thanksgiving morning.

For the first time in its history, the Big Ten does not have a team ranked in the coaches' poll (Ohio State is obviously ineligible).

Nothing more than injuries at this point. The offensive line has true freshman and unproven players all over the place. Starting QB has been allowed to continue playing despite the fact that it's obvious something is wrong with him. Our best offensive players are at WR and they're not getting the ball due to lack of blocking up front and an injured QB. It's a perfect storm and there's not really much that can be done about it.

It was already supposed to be a rebuilding year. It's become more of a wrecking ball year. Get some experience for some very young players and get things straightened out.
