Aegon was one of my top choices for heir. Better say in the voting thread that there are going to be spoilers for people who have only watched the show.

I come before Dany in the line of succession. But like I said - I'm open to getting hitched. Between Essos and Westeros I figure we can rule the whole world together.

I had him for heir too.

Actually I should probably post at the top of this thread that there will be book spoilers, although I figure most people here would figure that out on their own.

I think Dany will wed someone far more worldly. A member of an ancient line, who also shares old blood ties to the Targaryens. A man trained in the Citadel, a man who can fight with both words and blades.

2.6 - King - Oberyn Martell

I think he's wasted as just a General. Understands the political game too well, despite being a tad rash at times. And really, who's gonna raise a hand against the combined might of Oberyn and Daenerys?

I was wondering how sent to the wall was going to shakeout, and actually was thinking the same thing with Joffrey.

All I can say is that I have a very specific plan for this draft and it is coming off perfectly thus far.

We don't need a valiant knight in shining armor to guard the royal line. We want someone who fights to win. Someone who knows every trick in the book, mainly because he's used all of them at one point or another. We don't need a man who knows how to joust and look good in armor. We need a man who knows how to kill things.

3.3 - Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Bronn

I doubt King Oberyn would give two shits about his Kingsguard getting some on the side.

What about the common people? It's supposed to be a position of respect and honor. I like both of those picks and the placement of those characters, just speaking out loud/devil's advocate

I mean, very few people are going to go through the Mountain to try and mess with a King. Via physical combat at least..

Who knows, the common people might like having one of their own in that role. I'd venture the nobles would be more outraged than the commonfolk. Which works for me - I'm happy keeping them off balance.

Don't get me wrong Bronn was up on my list, and he was certainly in consideration for Kingsguard. Also Marshal.

I have a feeling it'll slow down a little for later rounds when there aren't as many obvious candidates (and potentially over the weekend) but right now people are excited

I'm so torn on this pick. On the one hand it seems like I've developed a "theme" and should continue with it. On the other hand, voters are notoriously loathe to reward "theme teams."

3.4 Field Marshal - Stannis Baratheon

Not only is he probably the most battle-tested living commander in the Seven Kingdoms in both number of battles and in their variety, but he offers the versatility of having defeated the Iron Fleet at Fair Isle, so you know he can be an admiral as well.

Can't argue that pick.

3.5 Hand of the King - Doran Martell

King Eddard needed a strong hand who is well versed in politics in a way he is not and Doran is that man.

3.7 - Field Marshal - Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch

King Jon's focus will be to keep the realm safe from the creatures of winter, and no one is better suited to do so than the Old Bear.

3.8 King- Renly Baratheon

4.1 Hand of the King- Kevan Lannister

Tough choices to make here. Renly was certainly the people's king, and deep down I think Robert would relish the opportunity to fight his brother's battles for him. Not hopeful for the prospect of producing heirs, but that's what Robb Stark is here to do.

As for Kevan, prior alliances aside, he was made to be a King's Hand. He was doing such a good job repairing a fractured Westeros that Varys had to come out of hiding to do for him. As a Hand, he would give sage counsel without personal aspirations.

4.2 - Maester - Aemon Targaryen

There is not a more capable or wiser Maester in Westeros, and perhaps no one who knows more about the battle that is coming, dragon lore and the lore of the north.
