dubb steps out with his Chainmail that sort of camouflages him and he gets a chance to ambush the creature. He tosses an 18 and hits. His +3 battle axe crashes into the Froghemoth for 2+3 = 10 damage. 34 left

Three tentacles snap his way. One cracks the Cloak and magical armor for 5 damage

dubb swing s his axe......his 9 hits, and then he savages it for 8 damage. The foe roars in pain and then two tentacles connect back in retribution for 10 damage on dubb

26 left for foe

15 taken by Sir dubbs-a-lot

Dubbs luck fails him, he tosses a 2. The foe hits once for 3

18 for dubbs

Dubb swings and.....tosses a 10 which hits for 4+3 - 7 damage the foe then hits once again for 6 damage

24 for dubb

19 left for foe

dubb's axe connects again for6 damage, and then teh Frog does somethign bad - it hits three times for 3d6+6 damage - 11 is rolled 17 total. (It rolled 12, 16, and 15.)

dubb heals 35. 11 damage left on him from this battle

dubb swings and tosses a 4. Nope. The creature only hits once for 5.

16 for dubb

DUbb then smashes it for 5 damage from a side swipe. 8 left for it. It hits twice for 12.

28 for dubb

Dubb hits again and if he tosses a 5 or more the creature is dead but he drops a 3 and it's alive. It stabs out tenceales and one connects for 4 damage

32 for dubb

dubb swinsg and.......kills it. Self heal used up, gain 5500 XP and then take 32 damage

I have you at 38/70

Seems I may be stuck on L3 for a bit. I've ran into a wall that now extends atleast two squares. Going to be next week at best before I'm back on level 4 unless I backtrack.

FYI, you didn't miss much w/the shield / staff / wand. I basically broke even ID'ing / selling them / rebuying inferior armor. But it was worth it for the sake of randomness.

curious what the Dagger Despair can do?

If that's right, Eddie, can you check to see if it said lvl 3 to your right or your left when you came in?

If it was your right, then we want to go right from our perspective (Gorm and Z). If left, then left from our perspective so we don't revisit.

Unless you want to go back to level 3.

I must have come from the left of the efreet room I'm guessing, someone was in the efreet room before I was. as it had been searched.

Gorm think Silver Claw use Horsie Afternoon or Morning to join Trowzak. Gorm think Morning. Gorm tough fight. May end day with Silver Claw without Horsie.

Silver Claw search Library instead in Afternoon.

Horses are afternoon only movement.

Despair is a dagger +2 that I think makes opponents run for a turn or two, letting you hit them with spells or arrows or letting you heal up. Probably selling it tomorrow.

So it will grant me any one wish that I want other than granting level 10. I'm thinking seriously about having it grant me level 8 which would be the most it could do level wise.

This thing has to be cursed.

Well apparently I'm too high level to use this ring. Here is the deal. Anyone that is below level 7, so level 6 and below. I have a ring that will allow you to instantly gain two levels. Anyone want to start the bidding?

I had that in Dungeon 2, and it wasn't cursed. Think it was part of a recipe, so couldn't actually use it. wish I had something to trade for it

I used most of the items that were made as recipes in this D as well, just later in the game (for the most part, the Endless Bag of HErbs was a recipe item from the last D)

I don't think i'd trade that to someone of level 6 dubb.. that would pretty much hand them a lead and likely first place, barring some sort of unforseen death.. but thats just me..

Doesn't seem nearly enough. It isn't completely useless to me. I can hang onto it and use it at some point. It has two other potential uses including killing anything in one shot and allowing you to survive death.

Gorm take care.

Gorm think Forward. Right to drakes. Tough monsters. Level 3. But Gorm and Znarled handle Drakes. Super Trowzak laugh at Drakes.

Left to Level One. No test, little reward, for strong party.

So Forward, Level 2. Then right, Level 3. Gorm thinking.

Here's a thought. I checked our movement messages and my map and when we entered the Drake room before there were only 3 exits (solid wall to the "south"). Now, in this room on the other side of the Drakes where there was a solid wall, there's a door. I asked Abe about it and he said "as of right now there is an exit that way."

So it looks like we have a mystery door?
