I think this is the best way to play duke. Hold it as long as you can. When the game is smaller the wolves have to worry about a duking, and it forces them to be even more circumspect in their moves. they never know when they might be randomly exposed. I know last game I was a wolf I was worrying about the duke towards the end, and it changed the way I played. that's much more useful than just a random switchup. |

Dunno - would have kind of helped a couple of days if you'd revealed and got in the COT but otherwise I think the duke is worth holding onto unless you use it in self-defence.

In fact being the duke allows you to play a lot more overtly - keep on everyone's radar so you don't get night-killed but don't have to worry about being lynched.

The duking ability and the wheelbarrow were really the only things that stopped us from declaring victory early yesterday. I think you played it well.

I never really felt in danger - and I didn't really want to come out because I knew I would be toast as soon as I did, and I still had no concrete evidence. Had to keep the wolves on their toes...just kept them there too long. HOWEVER - I did get a minor win for surviving longer than the Count. Hooray!

You were definitely on our radar not to kill. We could not nk our rous.
We hit jackpot that night we killed chief. Rous made his kill and we never did get the cojvert but we had a 50/50 shot for it. Had we gotten it this game would have been over on Friday most likely. That would have been horrendous luck for the village. We were pretty bummed the whole day as jackal was going down but as soon as results hit we were hooting n cheering for the rous!! |

Reverse psychology baby. I was trying to find ways to set up like a triple reverse psychology. We entertai ed the idea of lathum revealing as inigo but decided that might be too obvious to get him lynched..then I thought maybe him revealing as max and everyone calls him out on it and we would figure him for the rous... So many ideas floated around. And in the end we did nothing...and it worked. |

I thought Font was the count. I had scanned both Mau and Font as wolves and figured that Mau kept pushing Font because she was the brutal. Then I assumed that Lathum was a villager because of the fact that Mau and Font had both their votes on him.

Couple quick notes:
I couldn't believe it when the wolves were already talking Autumn/JAG on day 1. Slap to the head at that point as there goes DPR and Westley. They kept talking themselves out of JAG the first couple days it seemed. Then they nail Chief and the village almost lynches the bodyguard forcing a reveal. That allowed font to "scan" the bodyguard which rendered his powers useless the following day. She would have never known if she ever actually hit a role or if she stole any powers. I think it was Day 2 someone mentioned killing Z. That would have been an interesting turn of events. They were terrified of JAG's ability once he revealed. Problem is that he already used it and was a sitting duck. Enter Z and he made that problem go away. I though mau was going to single handedly lose the game for the wolves early yesterday. He had stolen Narc's vote yesterday and was lobbying for them to all come forward and get the ROUS to vote with them as they had a 5-4 edge with the stolen vote. Problem is, PF could have duked to one of them and it would have been a quick trip to a village victory at that point. They almost blew up my inbox as I had 50+ messages waiting for me when I signed on. I am curious what happened with Katy and the cloak. |

Oh, I think I need to add a rule to the PM's next time to only include one PM with a heading of night kill for the wolves. It was a pain trying to read back through to find the actual PM that contained the kill.

Never having played as seer before (regularish seer), I didn't prepare myself for possible circumstances like Jackal pulling his fake reveal as he did. I didn't really know whether I should call him out right away or stay concealed. First thing I did was change my scan I put down earlier in the day from Lathum to Katy (she had a late vote on DT, I think Lathum had a vote on Jackal there), pretty much things happened as I claimed the following day. I decided to blow my protection because I was afraid I could be targeted since Jackal 'cleared' me and that if I chose to reveal the next day you would probably think I still had my protection. I forgot about the ROUS and the possibility for a double attack though. Oh well, win some lose some. Good job wolves, thanks for the game EF. |

EF, would I have been immune to iocane powder as in the movie? I didn't think about that the whole day until about five minutes after the deadline when it was used.

I had to take my shot at Jag when I did. EF did tell me that I would lose my night kill if it was blocked but I got a major victory if I killed Wesley or the Princess so I took my shot and hoped that Jag was not the cunning who was doing a super bluff.

FWIW, I thought it pretty obvious Zinto, Lathum and Font were wolves, Mau actually was the one I wasnt sure about.

Forgot to say it, but well done wolves .
I do have to say, Lathum's new strategy of playing under the radar as a wolf is going to make it much more likely I vote him early in games. Mau wanting to reveal is not surprising. He is a good wolf, but he definitely comes up with some crazy stuff sometimes lol. |

When we knew it was 5-4 I knew we could control the votes so in my mind the game was over so but then I they reminded me of duke. It may not have changed anything as it would have just been a screwy mind game where PF still chooses to duke to lathum and still end game.

Mau, you are playing much more even keel as a wolf now. You used to get pretty easily flustered when you had someone (often me) put pressure on you as a wolf, but you have improved a great deal with that.

Yeah I pretty much just not even talk or respond when my name comes up..unless its an easy defend. That's all it was this game was bouncing away little things.

So Katy has the cloak all game? That really could have changed things is she had given it to Jag and Jag scanned Mau like he had planned. Whole different game from there.
