I thought GLOW was just ok. Felt like a show that could use the background flashbacks that Orange is the New Black uses to get you more invested in the characters.

The key to a show like that is making you care about the characters and I just found that I really didn't give a shit what happened to them.

Just started watching GLOW...love the idea behind the show and I remember watching the shows late at night as a kid. Lots of nostalgia there...

Sherlock series 4 is up now as well...absolutely love this show but I haven't watched series 4 yet.

I thought it was solid, but missed on its potential. I like the show, but I don't think it's as clever as Santa Clarita and the drama doesn't match some of the stronger Netflix dramas. It feels like they really don't know what they want the show to be.

I'm enjoying Marc Maron a lot, he's so great in this. The wrestler cameos are pretty cool, too, including Lake Braddock High School's very own Alex Riley

I feel just about the exact same way. I really don't understand the high praise it's gotten.

I feel like most of the Netflix dramas are just mediocre binge-able shows. Nothing has really blown me away. House of Cards and OitNB were really good early on but are terrible now. It feels a lot like what Showtime does.

Though most of their 'comedies' are really funny dramas. "Master of None", "BoJack Horseman", "Lady Dynamite" in particular may be funny, but have far more dramatic arcs than comedic ones (I say this even though BoJack is one of the funniest shows I've seen).

I personally feel like OitNB had one really down year (season 3 I believe it was?) but recovered nicely and the last two seasons have been solid. Its probably getting close to time to wrap it up though.

Other than that, the other Netflix Originals I've latched on to (Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why) have only had one season so far. I'm excited to see what Stranger Things will do for a second season, and cannot possibly see how a second season of 13 Reasons Why will be anything but awful.

I definitely agree with ISiddiqui on Master of None and Bojack as comedies that have major dramatic elements and being very high quality as well.

Yeah, I think OitNB really should have only one more season, but it had been renewed through Season 7, so let's hope it works out ok. I thought this last season was solid as well, though not as great as the first couple. I wonder if it'll end with Piper's release (and part of the last season having her deal with the outside world again).

The Last Kingdom for people that like Game of Thrones type shows. Very good so far. 4 episodes in Season 1. Will start and probably finish Castlevania tonight woohoo!

Looking to binge a little over the next few days as my wife and youngest are out of town and my oldest goes back to his mom. Here are the shows that interest me - any ideas? Feel free to offer up any other options too. I've seen all the Marvel ones, Stranger Things, At all Costs, Peaky Blinders and Making a Murderer:

1. Black Mirror
2. House of Cards
3. The Last Kingdom
4. Narcos
5. American Horror Story
6. Turn: Washington's Spies

There are probably a bunch more I would like, but those peaked my interest. I understand not everyone has the same interests as me, but I'd still like to hear what you guys think.

Cant go wrong with Black Mirror or House of Cards. Highly recommend both.

Others:

The Killing
Masters of None
Bojack Horseman
The Keepers
Castlevania

Have you tried Luther? I think it would be right up your alley. Or Sherlock (BBC tv show) if you haven't seen that.

I've seen Sherlock. I might throw Luther in there as well as an option - but I've just finished Sherlock and Peaky Blinders - so I'm a little "Britained out"

I watched the forst season of Narcos. Then I found Pablo Escobar: El Patron Del Mal.
Now this is subtitled. And there about 94 episodes.
But it is fantastic. It is made by a Columbian production company. It tells the story from all sides: Military, Police, Escobar, His cohorts, his allies, the newspaper, etc.

I couldnt watch Narcos after watching this one.

My problem with Narcos is they jammed like 80% of Escobar's life into Season 1 and didn't have as much to work with in Season 2. Should have spaced it out a little better.

The crazy thing about Escobar is you'll see stuff that happens in the show and be like "no way that happened". Then look it up and find out it did.

I'll chime in on GLOW. I think they did okay for wrestling, good for storytelling, and great for getting the feel of the 80s.

Also: bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!

I don't think the plan was for season two of Narcos to be so focused on Escobar. The first season is really more about the cops, but Moura is so compelling in his portrayal of Escobar that the show refocused to be mostly about him in season two.

I find it funny that every Central/South American I know (which is surprisingly quite a lot in Sydney) can't stand Narcos because of Moura. Especially Colombians - I wish I could remember the term I've heard them say about him, but it's something along the lines of the fact that he speaks Spanish like a guy who grew up in Miami.

I love Pedro Pascal in Narcos especially, I haven't seen season 2 yet but he was head and shoulders above the others in season 1 IMO.

That second lead actress has some incredible curves and she is also one hell of an actress. After watching GLOW, I'm surprised she hasn't gotten more/bigger roles. I think she most likely will though. She's very talented.

I almost feel like her name being Betty is what has held her back. She really did nail her part. Also, I'm guessing a 2nd season would not feature her getting her revenge on Brie the same way as she might accidentally knock herself out bouncing that way.

Yeah, I almost gave up after the first one.

But "San Junipero" is some of the best TV I've ever watched.

Yeah, no doubt that is a great one as well. A ton of great episodes, personally White Bear is the most disturbing/challenging thing I've ever watched.

What is incredible to me is how many of the ones from 2-3 years ago are becoming even more relevant today (thinking of the Waldo episode obviously but there are others). Just incredible visionary TV

Absolutely. I think I sat in silence in my bedroom for about 15 minutes after it was over, I didn't even know how to continue life after watching that. But I figured it out.
