There was a 40 year game limitation on dynasty length wasn't there? It is really cool to see this still going after so long

14:35 - We've started off with a much better effort at both ends of the floor. 9-2 lead. Guys are really flying around on defense.

12:27 - We finish a 13-0 run before they score on a FT. We are up 15-3.

11:50 - Troy with a really nice fadeaway jumper from 12 feet. 17-3 lead as they call a timeout.

10:22 - Vega picks up his 2nd foul. We lead 20-5 as I bring in Abdul-Rahim.

9:45 - McDade is very tired. He's been the catalyst at both ends today. Dawson in for him and Farrell in for a tired Dillard.

7:40 - They are on a 7-0 run so I call a timeout. We lead 23-12. Kabba and Fuller come into the game.

3:38 - Our 2nd unit, especially Farrell, are very disappointing so far. I bring back my starters except for Vega. We are up 28-22.

Halftime: We lead 36-27.

McDade is on fire from the arc! He's the player of the half with 5 3 pointers for all 15 of his points. He also has 3 assists and a steal. When he gets a good pick at the top of the circle, he is deadly. He's 5 of 6 from the arc.

Dillard with 7 points. Troy with 5.

15:39 - Our first wow moment of the game. Vega with a block that starts a 2-on-1 fastbreak.. McDade threw a laser of an alley-oop pass which Stevens caught and dunked with a spectacular double pump. Our portion of the fans are going crazy. We lead 46-32.

14:47 - Vega picks up his 3rd foul trying to help with a weakside block.

10:13 - All of my starters are tired. McDade has missed all of his 3's this half, but he is doing everything else right (including hitting midrange shots) to help us win. We lead 53-38.

9:55 - Abdur-Rahim picks up his 4th foul..

5:50 - The 2nd unit disappoints again. I bring back my starters. We lead 56-49.

2:03 - We still haven't stopped their run. Our defense is playing good, but with no offense, they are closing the gap. We lead 56-54.

McDade gets a great screen but misses another 3. He hasn't made one this half. Stevens with the offensive board.

52 seconds - McDade gets an open look from the corner and drills the 3! 59-54 lead.

48 seconds - They have an unforced errant pass that sails out of bounds.

McDade hits 7 FT's as they keep intentionally fouling.

We win the game 66-56.

McDade is the player of the game with 30 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, 1 board, and 2 turnovers. He shot 8 of 17, 6 of 12, and 8 of 10.

Dillard with 9 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 4 of 8.

Troy with 7 points, 4 boars, 2 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 3 of 8.

Stevens with 6 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 3 of 4.

Vega with 7 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 3 of 4.

Kabba led the bench with 4 points. Dawson with 3 points. Abdur-Rahim had 3 boards.

I can't remember the length of the limit. I thought it was 45 or 50? I seem to remember figuring out it wouldn't hit until my coach was somewhere in his 70's.

Our next game in the Tourney is against North Texas. They are 3-0 with a roster rating of 82, however, they don't have any starter rated over 75.

We win the sim 76-67.

McDade with 17 points and 7 assists. He shot 6 of 12.

Farrell with 12 points off the bench as he shot 4 of 4 from the arc. Maybe that will get him going.

Kabba with 12 points on 4 of 8 shooting.

Dillard put up an 0 for 8 night.

Troy with a 2 for 8 night.

We'll play Cal Poly in the Tourney Final as they beat Wichita State 75-50.

Cal Poly is 4-1 with a roster rating of 80.

They are led by RS JR PG Beau Jordan. He is 6'6 225 and is rated 82 overall. He is a solid 3 point shooter who transferred to the school last year from Syracuse. He's averaging 9.8 ppg and 5.5 apg.

SR PF Darrell Knox is 6'7 225 and is rated 77 overall. He's averaging 15 ppg and 5.4 rpg.

SR SG Pearson Guzman is 6'5 216 and is rated 75 overall. He's averaging 7.4 ppg.

SO PF/C Damir Eaton is 6'8 244 and is rated 70 overall. He's averaging 8.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg.

SO SF Kenneth Nicholson is 6'7 222 and is rated 70 overall. He's averaging 4.5 ppg.

The bench is all rated in the low to mid 60's. I'll play them tomorrow.

17:54 - Stevens has drawn 2 fouls on Knox. We lead 5-0. Very good effort early.

15:00 - We are up 8-4.

11:26 - The effort has dropped off the last 2 minutes as guys are tired. We are tied at 13. We bring in the entire second unit.

10:00 - Farrell has a much smaller man on him, he shoots over him twice for midrange baskets. We lead 17-13.

8:01 - Farrell hits his next 2 as well, a 14 footer and a 3. We are up 22-17.

And another 3 by Farrell! He's got it going now!

6:18 - Farrell is giving up some baskets, but his offense is making up for it. We lead 28-21. I bring back all of my other starters except for Dillard.

4:30 - Farrell's man beats him and gets a 2nd foul on Vega. I'm leaving him in for now.

3:07 - Farrell's man gets a 3rd foul on Vega. I rest Vega. We lead 36-26.

1:24 - Farrell is so tired that he isn't giving any effort on defense now, even though he hit his last 3 shots, I pull him for the half. We lead 38-32.

Halftime: We lead 40-34.

Farrell is the player of the half with 17 points. He shot 7 of 10, 3 of 4 from the arc in the first half.

Stevens with 8 points in a pleasant surprise. McDade with 5 points and 3 assists. He is shooting 1 of 7.

17:05 - Jordan just hammered McDade to the floor.. I hold my breath, but he gets up fine. We lead 46-41.

15:03 - Jordan's length is really messing with McDade's shot. Now, he just got blocked. We are tied at 48.

11:55 - We need more offense. I bring in Farrell. We are down 54-52.

10:54 - Abdur-Rahim is tired. I bring in Vega. We are tied at 54.

10:35 - Stevens picks up his 3rd foul. We bring in Fuller.

8:47 - Vega picks up his 4th foul as Troy's man beats him. I bring in the rest of the 2nd unit except for Vega. We lead 60-58.

5:44 - Fuller gets a 4th foul on Knox. We are down 63-62.

5:14 - Farrell only hits 1 of 2 FT's to tie the game at 63.

4:00 - Jordan gets open in the corner and drills a 3 to put them back ahead, 66-65. We call a timeout to get our starters back into the game. I'm giving Farrell 2 minutes to rest and if we aren't ahead comfortably, he'll come back in the game.

3:05 - McDade has had a bad night, but he hits a critical 3 to tie it at 68.

2:03 - I call a timeout to get Farrell back in. Tied at 68.

1:42 - Farrell sets McDade up for a wide open shot as they double team him, McDade gets the ball, pump fakes, dodges the man flying at him and drives into the lane for a foul. He hits the first FT.. and the 2nd!

1:14 - Guzman misses a 3. Stevens with the rebound.

1:01 - McDade with a nasty crossover, beats Beau, and hits a teardrop in the lane for the basket!

41 seconds - Knox misses a 8 footer. Steven with the board and he is fouled. He makes both FT's. 74-68 lead.

They miss a quick 3 and Stevens gets the board and is fouled. He misses the first FT but makes the 2nd.

They miss another quick 3 and Stevens gets the board again and is fouled again. He hits the pair of FT's to finish it.

Vega fouls out with 15 seconds left.

We win the game 80-69.

Farrell is the player of the game with 28 points and 1 assist. He shot 9 of 15, 4 of 8, and 6 of 8.

McDade with a rough night - 14 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 turnovers. He shot 3 of 14, 2 of 10, and 6 of 8.

Dillard with 5 points and 1 board in 19 minutes. I feel bad for him, but it looks like Farrell is going to get more minutes despite being one of our most one dimensional players right now, assuming that this is the start of a breakout for him and he can keep shooting like he does in practice.

Troy with 9 points, 4 boards, and 3 steals. He shot 3 of 8 which is another disappointing night.

Stevens with his first breakout game? 15 points, 7 boards, 2 steals. He showed some nice moves in the post that I didn't know he had including one move that I've never seen from any of my post players and that is hard to describe, but looks nasty and came after a drop step.

Vega with 0 points, 6 boards, and 1 block.

Dawson with 3 points, 3 assists, and 2 turnovers.

Abdur-Rahim with 4 points and 7 boards in 18 minutes.

Fuller with 2 points and 4 boards.

We are now 5-1 and ranked 17th in the media poll.

Only 1 game until the early signing period, so I decide to sim it despite intending to play it earlier. I believe we are going to get Badu...

Nov 24, 2034 -

Oklahoma is 4-1 with a roster rating of 85. We are hosting them.

We beat them 69-62! McDade with 16 points, 4 boards, 7 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 4 of 10, 3 of 6, and 5 of 5.

Dillard with 8 points.

Troy with 10 points. Stevens with 7 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks.

Vega with 12 points. Kabba with 8 points. Dawson with 3 points and 7 assists. Farrell was held scoreless in 16 minutes.

Now, let's hear some good recruiting news....

Yes! We got the Mr. Basketball for California, Marcellus Badu! It came down to USC and UCLA and we took him away from them

Badu is a 6'4 198 pound PG from Pomona, CA. Besides being Mr. Basketball for California, he is an All-American 5 star player. He is ranked 21st overall and 10th among PG's. He averaged 17.3 ppg, 8.6 apg, 5.6 rpg, and 3.1 spg in the ABL. He did jack up a lot of shots, shooting only 39% from the field and 38% from the arc. Our staff grades him out as follows: Shooting A-, Skills A, Defense A, Athleticism A, Rebounding C+, IQ B, Potential A, Size B- (I don't get that - do they take points off for being too big as a PG? I love his height.) They believe his strengths when he first gets on campus will be his midrange shot, his stealing, his passing, and his shot blocking (which he didn't much of in the ABL.) Dawson will have to improve to hold off this kid when he gets on campus if my staff is right about him..

SF Devon Kilgore also signed with us as expected. He is 6'7 199 and is from Los Angeles. He is a 4 star player who is ranked 67th overall. He averaged 11 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.6 apg, and 2.6 spg in the ABL. Our staff grades him as follows: Shooting B+, Skills B, Defense B+, Athleticism A, Rebounding B+, IQ B+, Potential B+, Size B+. They believe his speed and lateral mobility will be his biggest asset when he arrives.

Interesting, I wonder how some of these schools sign so many 5 stars at the same position, like Georgia Tech did several years ago at G. McBridle was close to signing with me this weekend, but once Badu announced, he dropped his interest way down.. Oh well, my staff thinks his potential is only a B+ anyway and I'd much rather take one away from UCLA than Pitt who is now his leader.

Stanford signed the top C in the nation today, 6'8 232 pound Deng Lennon from California.

Our next game is at Marshall. They are 2-2 with a roster rating of 80. They are led by a pair of talented PF's:

SR PF Randolph Mccully is 6'7 215 and is rated 81 overall. He is a good midrange shooter and a very athletic player. He's averaging 14.5 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 1.8 spg.

SR PF Michal Burke is 6'6 230 and is rated 80 overall. He is the better post player where he has a wide variety of moves. He is averaging 17.3 ppg and 5.8 rpg.

The rest of their starters are all in the high 60's. Their bench is in the low 60's.

15:00 - Tied at 6. Dillard has all 6 of our points.

11:32 - Stevens picks up his 2nd foul in a hard collision with Burke. Burke is injured and has to be helped off the court. All of our starters are tired. I bring in the entire 2nd unit. We are down 9-8.

9:19 - Word just came back that Burke broke his ankle and is done for a long time. I feel bad for the kid. Meanwhile, his team is playing tough. We are down 13-12.

5:11 - Farrell is absolutely terrible at defense, but if guys set him up for an open shot he is usually going to nail it. He already has 9 points. We lead 24-20.

2:30 - Farrell has missed his last 2 shots. He is tired as are most of the guys on the floor. We go back to our starters. We are down 29-26.

Halftime: We are down 33-30.

Legge, their SG, has 14 points. He got going against Farrell and kept it going.

17:10 - Troy picks up his 3rd foul. I put in Kabba. We are down 38-35.

15:30 - Stevens picks up his 3rd foul. I put in Fuller. We are down 41-37.

12:20 - Dillard misses a wide open 3 to tie the game and instead they get a breakaway dunk. We are down 51-46.

11:34 - They steal it from McDade and get a breakaway dunk. Down 53-46 as I call a timeout and bring in the 2nd unit..

7:09 - A horrible stretch. Dawson with a bad pass, Dawson has it stolen, Dawson with another bad pass. They get a 8-0 run after we had closed the gap. Down 61-51.

6:45 - Farrell with a 3.

6:24 - Farrell with a breakaway layup. 61-56.

5:45 - Farrell is fouled shooting a midrange shot. He hits the first FT, but misses the 2nd. Abdur-Rahim with the offensive board and we reset.

4:11 - All of our 2nd unit guys are tired. I bring back my starters. We are down 66-61.

2:53 - McDade with a breakaway dunk. We are down 68-65.

Legge shoots a 3 over Dillard. They steal a pass by McDade and get a breakaway dunk. Down 73-65 with just over 2 minutes left.

Troy has a shot blocked, but he gets down to the other end, steals it and has a breakaway dunk.

Vega with a block, but they get the carom. Time is running out. They miss a shot, but they get the offensive board. We have to foul.

46 seconds - Down 75-67.

McDade hits a quick 3. We foul. They make the FT's. McDade hits another quick 3. Where was this accuracy earlier? 77-73.

We foul. They make the first, miss the 2nd, but Mccully gets another offensive board. Down 80-73.

McDade hits another quick 3! They only make 1 of 2 and Vega gets the board.

7 seconds - McDade misses a 3, Vega gets the board, kicks it out and McDade hits another 3! We are down 81-79.

6 seconds - Brock, their PG, hits the first FT.. and misses the 2nd! Vega gets the board.. throws it up the court to Dillard.. he passes to McDade who catches it in stride... he shoots an off balance 3 at the buzzer.. and it is good!!!! We are going to OT!

Troy fouled out on that last intentional foul. Kabba is in the game.

4:09 - They strike first with 2 FT's by Mccully who got a 4th foul on Stevens.

Vega misses a wide open dunk, but makes up for it with a block at the other end. He has 4 blocks.

McDade with a 3 to give us the lead. 85-84.

2:50 - McCully steals it from Stevens. They get a fastbreak which we foul to stop the dunk by Mccully. He misses the first FT.. and makes the 2nd. Tied at 85.

2:09 - Kabba misses a wide open 3. I'm going to bring in Farrell to see if he can play better defensively at SF. He has the size..

1:36 - Dillard misses an open 3, but Vega gets the offensive board and we reset.

1:13 - Dillard beats his man, drives into the paint, and kicks it out to a wide open Farrell for a long 2. 87-85.

41 seconds - Farrell blocks a 3 attempt by their SF!!

12 seconds - Dillard beats his man, gets into the paint and kicks it out to Farrell for a 3! 90-85.

4 seconds - Farrell steals it from their SF! He is fouled. He makes both FT's.

We win 92-85. Even though it was a meaningless OOC game, that was one of the most thrilling wins since the National Championship game.

McDade is the player of the game with 32 points, 3 assists, 5 steals, 1 block, and 3 turnovers. He shot 10 of 17, 6 of 11 (almost all down the stretch after a cold start), and 6 of 6 from the line.

Farrell with 24 points, 1 assist, 2 steals, and his first career block. He shot 8 of 13, 3 of 8, and 5 of 6.

Dillard with 6 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers. He shot 2 of 7.

Troy with 4 points and 1 assist. He shot 2 of 6.

Stevens with 3 points, 2 boards, and a block. He shot 1 of 8 as their veteran PF's schooled him. Mccully had 22 points and 11 boads against him and Fuller.

Vega with 4 points, 10 boards, and 4 blocks.

Kabba with 6 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists. He shot 2 of 6.

Dawson with 5 points nad 3 assists.

Fuller with 8 points and 2 boards. Abdur-Rahim with 7 boards and a block.

Now, it is time to end the early signing period. I don't expect any more signings as I'm still pursuing McBridle as he still has a fairly high level of interest and no one else really excites me in this group..

McBridle is still trying to decide between us and Pitt. He said he should know in a few weeks where he wants to go, but he isn't signing early. I'll continue to pursue him and see what happens.

Washington signed Ron Laws, a very good PG from Missoula, MT who is ranked 37th overall and 19th among PG's.

Our next game is hosting Duke at the Galen Center! We are both 7-1. Their roster rating is 88. We are both completely healthy now. They are led by a star PG and have complimentary players around him:

SR PG Zack Mason is 6'3 187 and is rated 87 overall. He's a very fast player who was 26th in his class. He's from Durham, NC. He's an excellent passer and a decent shooter. He's averaging 11.1 ppg and 6.5 apg.

SO SG Alejandro Cooley is 6'3 204 and is rated 78 overall. He's a guy with no real strengths of weaknesses. He's averaging 8.3 ppg and 1.8 apg.

JR SF Elijah Scheer is 6'7 229 and is rated 82 overall. He's an excellent midrange shooter and a slightly above average 3 point shooter. He's averaging 9.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg.

JR PF Louie Lopez is 6'9 227 and is rated 80 overall. He's an excellent midrange shooter and a solid 3 point shooter. He's averaging 12.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg.

JR C A.J Matela is 6'8 199 and is rated 79 overall. He's a good midrange shooter who doesn't have any inside game at all. He's averaging 4.9 ppg and 3.8 rpg.

The bench is led by a few forwards. SO SF Mick Ngounou will play some 3, 4, and 5 for them. He's 6'10 240 and has the skill set to be effective all 3 positions. He's an excellent midrange shooter, he has some post skills, and he is a good shot blocker. He's rated 79 overall. He's from Greenville, NC and was the 52nd ranked player in his class. He's averaging 11 ppg and 3.8 rpg.

SR PF Eugene Anderer is 6'6 233 and is rated 79 overall. He's their best post scorer. He's averaging 10.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg.

SO SF Eugene Borges is 6'6 225 and is rated 77 overall. He's their most explosive dunker. He's averaging 7 ppg and 1 rpg.

FR SG Jeremy Sanders is their top freshman and is a 3 point specialist (not nearly as good as Farrell.) He's averaging 5 ppg.

The rest of the bench is rated in the low 70's.

I'll play them later.

Home sick today. Hopefully, it doesn't affect my gameplay.

19:55 - Vega has already drawn a foul on Matela. Our plan is to pound them inside today.

16:55 - Scheer with a drive picks up a 2nd foul on Vega. We bring in Abdur-Rahim. We are down 8-5.

13:36 - Mason gets a 2nd foul on McDade. We are down 13-8.

12:34 - Dawson with a great move to get into the paint, hit the layup and get a 2nd foul on Matela. We are down 16-11.

Stevens with a pair of 12 footers!

9:00 - I go to the entire 2nd unit. We are down 21-17.

5:06 - I bring McDade and Vega. We are down 27-21.

2:35 - We go with McDade, Dillard, Farrell, Stevens, and Vega to end the half. We are down 33-30.

Halftime: Lopez with a 12 footer at the buzzer. We are down 39-34.

Lopez is the player of the half with 12 points and 4 boards. Mason has 12 points and 3 assists for them.

McDade with 8 points and 3 assists for us. Stevens with 6 points and 3 boards. Farrell with 7 points and 4 boards. Farrell is going to start the half at SF and play for a few minutes before getting a breather.

18:32 - Vega picks up his 3rd foul when Lopez beats Stevens off the dribble.

16:44 - McDade picks up his 3rd foul. I slide Dillard over to PG, Farrell to SG, and bring back Troy at SF. We are down 44-36.

The tempo has picked up a bunch as they are trying to full court trap Dillard.

12:30 - We are down 57-45. I bring back McDade and rest Farrell. I also rest Vega.

10:30 - Abdur-Rahim gets a 3rd foul on Lopez. We are down 57-48.

Mason gets a pair of steals against McDade for 4 easy points.

9:35 - McDade picks up his 4th foul. I bring in Dawson. I also bring in Fuller for a tired Stevens. We are down 63-48.

6:40 - Scheer with a pair of 3's. We are in deep trouble. Down 69-51. I bring back Farrell and McDade.

6:09 - McDade hits a 3 and then picks up his 5th foul on a stupid reach-in. No late game heroics from him this time. Dawson into the game.

3:54 - Farrell with a pair of 3's. Troy with a 12 footer. We are down 71-59. Stevens and Vega back into the game.

3:14 - Troy with a pair of drives (2nd one after a steal by him) into the apint. We are down 71-63.

3:01 - Dawson with a steal and he sets up a dunk attempt by Vega who is fouled and misses it. He makes 1 of 2.

2:45 - Scheer hits a 3 when Farrell is late getting there.

2:30 - Farrell with a quick 3 in response. We are down 74-67.

Scheer hits a 3 off a screen that Troy couldn't get through.

Mason steals it twice from Dawson and sets up a pair of fastbreak dunks.

We put together one last quick charge, but Lopez hits a 18 footer to take the final air out of our sail.

We lose the game 83-73.

Lopez was the player of the game with 22 points, 10 boards, and 3 assists.

Mason with 14 points, 11 assists, and 5 steals against us.

Cooley with 16 points on 5 of 10 shooting.

Scheer with 22 points and 2 boards. He shot 7 of 14.

Farrell led our team with 22 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, and 1 steal. He shot 7 of 17, 3 of 8, and 5 of 7.

McDade only with 20 minutes due to foul trouble. He had 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 turnovers.

Dawson with 17 minutes had 6 points, 6 assists, and 3 turnovers.

Dillard with 0 points and 5 boards. He shot 0 of 8.

Troy with 8 points and 3 boards. He shot 2 of 7 (least he's consistent.)

Steens with 8 points, 6 boards, 1 assist, 2 steals, and a block.

Vega with 8 points, 3 boards, and 2 blocks. I limited his time too much due to his early foul trouble. He played 20 minutes but never got a 4th foul.

Abdur-Rahim with a productive 20 minutes off the bench. He had 10 points, 6 boards, and a block. He shot 4 of 7.

Fuller with 0 points and 3 boards in 12 minutes.

Our next game is hosting 2-7 Norfolk State. They have a roster rating of 66.

We don't blow them out, but we do win 83-67. That is kind of concerning...

McDade with 11 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 3 of 11.

Dillard with 8 points and 4 boards.

Troy with 9 points and 5 boards. Stevens with 9 points and 2 boards.

Vega with 13 points, 3 boards, and 2 blocks. Kabba with 13 points off the bench. Farrell shot 2 of 6 and had 5 points.

We are now 8-2 and ranked 19th in the media poll.

Our next game is at Ohio State. They are 6-2 with a roster rating of 87. They are running a high tempo offense. Their big weakness is at PG. As a result, they are creative with their usage of players.

JR SG Germain Thomassson is starting for them at PG. He's 6'4 209 and rated 82 overall. He isn't the ideal ball handler, nor he is very fast. However, he is a terrific shooter who can post up smaller point guards. He's averaging 11.6 ppg and 3.8 apg.

SF Jamual Andrews is starting for them at SG. He is 6'8 194 and is rated 83 overall. He has elite speed at SF but not SG, but it is sufficient for the position. He's an excellent midrange shooter. He's averaging 14.4 ppg and 6.1 rpg.

SF Darell Watkins is 6'7 224 and is rated 82 overall. He's averaging 9.9 ppg and 3.0 rpg. He's a very good defender.

SO PF Lou Clinton is 6'7 230 and is rated 80 overall. He's an excellent shot blocker but a subpar rebounder. He's a good midrange shooter. He's averaging 9.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 1.9 bpg.

FR C Hendrik Laurelin is 7'0 238 and is rated 77 overall. He is a great shot blocker, a decent post player, and a decent passer. He's averaging 8.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 3.1 bpg.

SO PF Tyquawn Revallo is their best bench player. He's 6'9 250 and is rated 74 overall. He's averaging 6.9 ppg and 3.1 rpg.

SO SG Laurie Mendez is a solid 3 point shooter who is weak in every other area. He's 6'1 179 and is rated 71 overall. He's averaging 5.4 ppg.

SO PG Jackie Blackett is their best PG on the roster. He's 5'9 174 and is rated 71 overall. He's slow, doesn't defend well, but he is a good passer and shooter. He's averaging 4.1 ppg and 1.5 apg.

I'll play them later.

14:59 - Nothing is going right for us. Their defense is smothering and ours isn't playing well. Down 11-2.

14:20 - Dillard with a nice layup and the foul to get us back on the scoreboard after a 4 minute draught.

11:06 - Vega picks up his 2nd foul going for a block. We are down 13-7. I bring on the entire 2nd unit.

7:55 - Farrell who has missed his first 2 three point attempts, does a great job of creating contact on this 3 point attempt. He hits all 3 FT's. Down 18-10.

4:30 - We're playing a slow pace to try to take their crowd out of it, but this is ridiculous. I know things aren't going my way as Abdur-Rahim misses a wide open breakaway dunk. Down 22-10. I call a timeout and bring in McDade, Dillard, slide Farrell to SF, Stevens, and keep Abdur-Rahim in despite that miss.

2:20 - McDade gets to the line and ends another very long draught. We are down 26-12.

Stevens with 3 big baskets to end the half, but our jump shooters are look terrible tonight.

Halftime: Down 32-20.

Andrews is the player of the half with 10 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists.

McDade is 0 of 6. Farrell is 0 of 6. Dillard is 1 of 4. Ugly. As a team, we are shooting 22% tonight.

19:44 - Troy gets a 3rd foul on Watkins. They go small and bring in Blackett at PG.

18:48 - McDade blows by Blackett and gets a 3rd foul on Laurelin. Time to push the tempo. We are down 36-23.

18:14 - Vega with a dunk and the foul. We need him to come up big..

16:06 - McDade gets a 3rd foul Revallo. He is getting inside at will against Blackett, but we are still down 41-30.

15:01 - Vega picks up his 3rd foul. We are down 46-30 as Andrews has scored 5 quick points.

13:58 - Troy gets a 3rd foul on Andrews. Down 50-32.

13:34 - Vega picks up his 4th foul. We bring in Abdur-Rahim for him.

11:55 - They are on a 7-0 run now. Down 55-32. I call a timeout, give me a team a kick in the pants, and bring in the 2nd unit.

Abdur-Rahim with a nice post move to end the run, but Blackett answers with a 3.

Our 2nd unit just can't get it turned around. A terrible loss.

We lose the game 83-61.

Andrews led them with 17 points.

Troy was our leading scorer with 14 as he attacked the basket more this game. He finished 5 of 13.

Mcdade with 5 points and 4 assists. He shot 0 of 10 from the field. What a streaky shooter..

Dillard with 8 points.

Stevens with 4 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists. He shot 2 of 6.

Vega only 25 minutes due to his foul trouble. He finished with 8 points, 4 boards, and a block. He shot 3 of 8.

Farrell with 7 points on 1 of 9 shooting. He was 4 of 6 from the line.

Abdur-Rahim with 6 points and 4 boards.

This team needs a lot more seasoning and isn't as strong as our roster rating suggests.

Tonight, we host Kansas State for Christmas. This is our last game before we start Pac-10 play, and we need a big game to shake off the malaise after that last loss. They have a team rating of 86 and they have a 8-2 record.

We lose 85-75 despite a career game from Vega.

Vega with career highs in points and rebounds with 17 and 10. He also had 2 blocks. He shot 5 of 8 and was 7 of 9 from the line.

McDade shot 1 of 7. He had 3 points and 5 assists.

Farrell with 4 points on 1 of 4 shooting.

Dillard with 12 points and 4 assists. Troy with 6 points and 5 boards.

Stevens with 4 points and 3 boards. Dawson led the bench with 11 points and 3 assists.

Now, for the Pac-10 Preview.

1. Washington is 10-2 and they have a roster rating of 95. They are the only Pac-10 team currently in the top 25 with a media ranking of 6th. They have stars at every position. They are starting 2 SR's and 3 JR's. Their entire rotation consists of almost all upperclassmen.

2. USC - The Pac-10 is slightly weaker this year than it has been in the past and that gives me some hope that we can do very well in conference play. WE need McDade to be more consistent or we won't go far. We now have a roster rating of 92.

3. Cal has been on the uptick with recruiting. They are 10-3 with a rating of 90. They are led by JR SG Roscoe Hoskin who has been on a tear. They don't start any SR's and they could be a real force next year.

4. Stanford is young and will be scary next year. They are 10-2 with a rating of 89. Their best player if JR PF Cam Moran who is currently rated 86. No real weaknesses on their team.

5. UCLA is 7-3 with a roster rating of 89 as well. They are led by SR PG Franklin Howel who is now rated 86 overall. They also have SR PF Lloyd Diallo. They are young at SF and C with FR SF Matt Caskill being a weak link to the team.

6. Oregon is 8-2 with a roster rating of 88. They are starting 2 Freshman at guard and it will cost them some this year. They are also somewhat weak at C with JR PF Earnest Saunders getting the start as they lack any true centers on the roster.

7. Arizona is 5-5 with a roster rating of 88. They are starting FR at PF and C and are young at SF. Senior PG J.S Randall is their only really talented player.

8. Arizona State's star SO PG Hensley Walton has been out for most of the year and will miss 4 more weeks with a sever ankle break. That makes their 8-2 record surprising and impressive. Without him their roster rating is 83, but I'm sure it is higher once he returns so I put them up a few spots. Right now, they are led by JR C Levi Cortez who is rated 80 overall.

9. WSU is completely healthy and is ready to compete more effectively this year. They have a roster rating of 84 with all of their players. They are 6-4. They are led by JR SF Ross Taylor who is rated 80 overall. PF and C are their weak positions, but they have 3 freshman C, at least 1 of whom looks like he will be a good player down the road.

10. Oregon State is at the bottom of the pile this year in talent despite a 8-3 OOC record against weak opponents. Their best win is against Eastern Washington. They have 3 SR's as well, so it could get worse down the road. Thei rbest player is SR SG Channing Vukusic who is rated 81 overall.

Team Leaders:

Washington 83 ppg
Oregon 32.7 rpg
Arizona State 15.1 apg
Washington 9.9 spg
Washington 5.5 bpg

Individual leaders:

C Levi Cortez, ASU 22.8 ppg
C Cortez, ASU 9.8 rpg
PG R. Luna, Oregon 5.8 apg
C Cortez 2.3 spg
C Cortez 2.3 bpg

According to the pro scouts:

Best Overall Player: McDade, USC!
Best Freshman, SG Swanson, Oregon - rated 80 overall.
Best Shooter - PG C. Bailey, Washington
Best Playmaker - McDade
Best Pro Prospect - PG Mencio, Washington
Best Defender - PF Moran, Stanford

Our first game is at Oregon. They are led by their SF's:

SR SF Guilherme Keita is 6'6 219 and is rated 85 overall. He is athletic, can shoot well, and is a solid defender. He's averaging 12.2 ppg and 5.6 rpg.

SR SF Mick Mayer is 6'5 231 and is rated 83 overall. He's the best 3 point shooter on their team and is averaging 10.5 ppg in relatively limited time.

SR SF Rodrick Camara is 6'8 250 and is rated 82 overall. He is very fast, is a strong defender, and is a good post up player. He's averaging 12.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg.

JR SF Brennan Forney is 6'7 195 and is rated 81 overall. He's their 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team, but is the worst defender of the group. He's averaging 5.5 ppg in limited time.

FR SG Bob Swanson is the most impressive freshman in the conference. He's 6'5 190 and is rated 80 overall. He's almost as good at shooting the 3 as Farrell (but Farrell is still rated 3 points better in the category), and he is a much better defender, athlete, and ball ahdnler. He's averaging 8.9 ppg and 2.1 rpg.

JR PF Earnest Saunders is their best big man. He's 6'9 240 and is rated 78 overall. He's averaging 8 ppg and 4.1 rpg.

FR PF Alton Lloyd was doing very well until he broke his ankle. He'll be out for 4 more weeks. He was averaging 9.9 ppg before his injury.

SO SG Isaac Stapleton plays a lot of point for this team. He's 6'5 180 and is rated 77 overall. He's averaging 8.2 ppg and 3 apg.

FR PG Randall Luna is their top PG. The freshman is 5'10 165 and is rated 76 overall. He was ranked 26th overall in this last class. He's fast, passes well, and shoots above average. He's averaging 7.7 ppg and 5.5 apg.

15:00 - Defense showing up well early. Tied at 5.

9:29 - Odd game. I've never seen either side miss so many shots. There is some good defense being played, but there is also some poor shooting being demonstrated. I rest all of my starters. We lead 9-5. They haven't scored for almost 7 minutes now.

Forney with a contested 12 footer.

4:18 - Farrell gets fouled by Swanson while he is shooting a 3. We lead 19-14 after he makes all 3 FT's. I bring back all of my starters except Troy. Farrell is sliding to SF.

Halftime: We lead 25-21.

Farrell is the player of the half with 8 points. McDade with 7 points.

14:31 - The pace is picking up and both offenses are more efficient. We are tied at 30.

8:11 - I bring in the 2nd unit. We are tied at 38. I still can't decide if this is great defense or bad offense..

4:06 - They block a 3 by Farrell and get a fastbreak basket going the other way. We are down 46-41. I call a timeout and bring back all of my starters.

2:50 - Troy with a nice 12 footer and then McDade with a 3 to tie it at 46.

2:30 - Camara gets an offensive board and Troy fouls him to prevent a dunk.

1:29 - McDade misses a 3 and Swanson hits a 12 footer at the other end. We are down 50-46.

Troy misses a 14 footer and they Keita gets a fastbreak dunk.

McDade misses a 3. We have to intentionally foul.

Vega misses a wide open dunk. We are done.

We lose the game 55-46. Tough road loss.

Luna was the player of the game with 11 points and 4 assists against us.

McDade led our team with 13 points, 2 assists, and 1 board. He shot 4 of 12, 4 of 10, and 1 of 2.

Dillard with 4 points and 3 assists. He shot 0 of 6. Without Galbreath to set him up, he's having trouble hitting the 3's he made last year.

Troy with 10 points and 3 boards. He shot 3 of 8.

Stevens with 5 boards and 0 points. He shot 0 of 4.

Vega with 4 points, 11 boards, and 1 block. He shot 2 of 7.

Farrell led the bench with 8 points. He shot 1 of 7 and was 6 of 7 from the line. He missed every shot in the 2nd half.

15:00 - We lead 7-5 after McDade hits a 14 footer.

12:06 - Dillard gets a 2nd foul on Stockman. Dillard best's game in a long time. We lead 10-9.

10:55 - Vega picks up his 2nd foul. I bring in Abdur-Rahim. We are up 12-9. Dillard with 7 points now.

7:25 - They are on a 10-0 run, mainly led by Sessoms, and my crowd is booing.. I call a timeout and sub in the 2nd unit.

6:21 - Kabba finally ends the 13-0 run by driving the hoop and getting a foul on Sessons, his 2nd. We are down 22-19.

2:45 - I bring back all of my starters except Troy. Kabba is remaining in the game. We lead 27-25.

2:15 - Another I've never seen that moment.. McDade and Kabba with a 2-on-1 fastbreak and McDade threw the alley-oop off the backboard. I didn't know that was in the game as I've never done it before. Kabba with a crowd pleasing catch and the dunk to finish it. We lead 29-25.

Halftime: We have a quick scoring burst. We lead 36-27.

Dillard is the player of the half with 14 points and 2 steals.

Kabba with 13 points. McDade with 6 assists.

13:33 - We are up 49-38 as Vega picks up his 3rd foul. He'll remain in the game for now.

8:59 - I rest my starters. We are up 54-44.

7:12 - Troy ends a mini-run by them with a great drive, pull-up J, and the foul. We are up 57-50.

3:53 - Troy driving and getting to the FT has been my offense the last 4 minutes. We lead 63-54. I bring back my starters and leave Troy in to finish this.

We win the game 75-60.

Kabba is the player of the game with 20 points, 1 block, and 1 steal. He shot 6 of 8 from the field and 8 of 10 from the line. Can this be the start of something more for him?

Our next game is hosting 10-4 Cal.

We win the game 64-62. Troy led the team with 19 points, 4 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 7 of 15, 3 of 6, and 2 of 2.

McDade with 3 points and 3 assists. He shot 1 of 9.

Stevens and Vega each with 7 points. Vega had 7 blocks!!!

Kabba with 8 points led the bench.

Our next game is at UCLA which is struggling at 7-7 (0-4.)

They have a few guys hurt which is obviously hurting them, but their start is still surprising.

SR PG Franklin Howel leads their squad. He is 6'8 215 and is rated 87 overall now. He is averaging 10.1 ppg but only 3.4 apg (down almost 2 per game.)

SR PF Lloyd Diallo is their main scoring threat. The 6'11 265 pound player has a nice shooting touch. He's averaging 11.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg, and 2 bpg.

SR PG Loren Burrowes is playing both PG and SG for them. He is 6'4 178 and is rated 83 overall. He's averaging 6.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 2.9 apg.

SO SG Lowell Filipovic plays some SF as well as SG for them. He's 6'4 206 and is rated 81 overall. He's averaging 10.4 ppg and 2.0 rpg.

Their next top guard and their top backup SF are out injured for another week or 2.

SO C Jalen Cassler is also out injured, and his absence hurts them the most. Without him, they have no interior size besides Diallo.

The rest of their bench is in the low 70's.

I'll play them tomorrow.

13:25 - Troy gets a 2nd foul on their SF, Caskel. We are down 7-4.

Howel with a 12 footer. Howel with a steal and breakaway dunk. We are down 11-4.

12:25 - Troy with a drive gets a 2nd foul on Diallo. We are down 11-6.

11:00 - We are down 14-9 as I turn to my 2nd unit.

8:06 - Howel with a pair of steals that lead to easy baskets. We are down 20-12.

7:10 - Howel with another pair of steals. He is owning Dawson with the aid of the full court trap.

6:05 - Abdur-Rahim gets a 2nd foul on their center. Tempo is picking up both ways now. We are down 24-16.

4:30 - Dawson has had a horrible game. I get all of my starters back into the game. We are down 25-18.

We got to the line frequently in the last 4:30 to close the gap.

Half time: We are down 31-29.

Howel is the player of the half with 6 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals.

McDade leads our team with 10 points, 1 board, and 1 steal.

Troy with 5 points. Farrell with 5 points.

17:17 - Dillard with a drive to get a 3rd foul on Diallo. We are down 35-33.

13:03 - They are on a 12-0 run. We are down 47-35. I call a timeout and put in our 2nd team..

Farrell with a pair of 3's and a pair of assists to get us back in the game.

5:53 - Farrell has kept us in this game, but he is very tired. He'll get a short break as I bring back all of my starters. We are down 60-53.

Diallo blocks a shot by McDade in the lane and they get a fastbreak the other way. Down 62-53.

McDade gets into the lane and gets fouled. They bring Howel back into the game.

Dillard turns it over twice and he is shooting terribly. He just allowed a pair of 3's by Filipovic. I bring back Farrell. We are down 69-57 with 3 minutes left.

Farrell gets us down to 8 once, but we can't get any closer.

We lose the game 76-66.

Howel was the player of the game with 14 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals.

I thought McDade was going to have a Player of the Year type of year and carry this team, but he just isn't getting it done to that level. Tonight, he finished with 16 points, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 3 turnovers. He shot 3 of 9, 0 of 4, and 10 of 12.

Dillard with 1 point on 0 of 7 shooting. He is my biggest disappointment. Some scouts project him to leave early, but I don't know how with this lack of production..

Troy with 5 points and 2 steals. Whatever happened to that shooting potential when I was recruiting him? He ended up 0 of 8 tonight.

Stevens with 8 points, 5 boards. At least he is looking like he could be a solid contributor.

Vega with 5 points, 10 boards, and 3 blocks.

Farrell with 23 points and 2 assists. He shot 7 of 13, 5 of 8, and 4 of 4.

Abdur-Rahim with 6 points, 3 boards, and 2 blocks.

Kabba with 2 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists.

We lost at Stanford 69-55. We fall to 11-7. They are now 13-6.

Troy had 21 points and 5 boards, but no one else broke double digits. Dillard with 2 points and 5 assists on 1 of 8 shooting. McDade with 9 points and 5 assists on 3 of 12 shooting.

Time to make a change. We are promoting Farrell to the starting SG spot. Dillard hopefully can do better as the 6th man.

Our next game is at Arizona. They are 8-9. They are a guard heavy team with 6 of their top 7 players being guards:

SR PG J.S. Randall leads the team. He is 6'1 197 and is rated 86 overall. He is their best perimeter defender and their best scorer. He's averaging 15.6 ppg, 4.3 apg, and 2.2 spg.

SR PG Adam Del Rosario is 6'2 193 and is rated 82 overall. He is their best slasher and has terrific handles. He is averaging 10.4 ppg and 2.2 apg.

JR PG Stefan Pardon is 6'0 197 and is rated 82 overall. He has explosive speed and a very good 3 point shot. He is averaging 9.2 ppg and 2.8 apg.

JR PG Kasey Pasco is 6'1 185 and is rated 80 overall. He is a very good 3 point shooter. He is averaging 6.7 ppg in relatively limited minutes.

SO SG Harrison Wofford is 6'3 188 and is rated 80 overall. He is a strong 3 point shooter. He is averaging 10.7 ppg and 3.9 rpg.

FR C Juan Beverett is the only player with size on their team. He is 6'10 222 and is rated 77 overall. He is a subpar offensive player but a good defender. He is averaging 3.9 ppg and 5.6 rpg.

SO SG Gavin Boatner is 6'0 169 and is rated 76 overall. He is a good slasher but doesn't play much. He is averaging 1 ppg.

FR PF Lyle Cole is the only PF on their roster. He is 6'6 216 and is rated 73 overall. He has a nice midrange shot. He's averaging 4 ppg and 3.3 rpg.

19:00 - New life for the team? Farrell with 2 early 3's to get us going quickly on the road.

17:02 - Farrell gets his 2nd foul on Wofford. We are up 10-2.

9:28 - Maybe it is just Arizona is small and bad defensively, but our offense is the most explosive it has been all year. We lead 26-14 as they call a timeout. McDade is getting much better looks with Farrell drawing attention in the corners. I rest all of my starters and go with my new second unit.

6:19 - Kabba with a drive gets a 2nd foul on their center, Neverett. We lead 32-20.

3:30 - Their defense is just bad. We are up 41-22. Our coaches want me to keep Kabba in which I do. I go with McDade, Farrell, Kabba, Troy, and Vega.

3:19 - On a switch, Troy gets a 2nd foul on Randall.

Bad finish to the half.

Halftime: We lead 44-30.

McDade is the player of the half with 12 points and 2 assists.

Farrell and Kabba each have 9.

9:46 - I turn to my 2nd unit to get my starters a rest. We are up 59-45. McDade and Farrell aren't shooting as well this 2nd half, but they are providing just enough along with a bit of contributions from the other starters.

3:30 - I get my starters back into to finish this. We lead 66-58.

1:17 - Randall with a 3 and then a steal and breakaway layup. We are up 66-63.

47 seconds - Farrell sets up McDade with a wide open 3 at one of his favored spots.. he shoots.. and misses.

31 seconds - Vega with a block.. McDade dives to the floor to get the carom. They foul him. He misses the front end of the 1 and 1.

18 seconds - They miss a quick 3 by Wofford. Stevens gets the board and they foul him. He hits the first but misses the 2nd.

9 seconds - They get a quick 2 from Neverett. They foul McDade.. he makes both FT's. 69-65 lead.

Randall misses a 3 and it is over.

We win the game 69-65.

McDade is the player of the game with 19 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a board. He shot 5 of 14, 4 of 12, and 5 of 7.

Farrell with 15 points and 1 assist. He shot 5 of 13, 4 of 10, and 1 of 2.

Troy with 4 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He shot 1 of 5.

Stevens with 3 points and 7 boards. He shot 1 of 2.

Vega with 6 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 3 of 7.

Kabba with 13 points on 4 of 8 shooting.

Abdur-Rahim with 4 points and 4 boards.

Dawson with 2 points and 4 assists.

McBridle has decided that he is definitely going to Pittsburgh. I retract my scholarship offer from him.

The more I've looked at Kody Hehn, the more I like him. He is a 6'8 210 pound SF from Los Angeles who is ranked 45th overall and 6th among SF's. I offer him our last scholarship and get right into the mix along with Arizona and Stanford who have also offered. Are we too late?

Jan 25, 2035 -

Our next game is hosting WSU. They are 8-9.

The new lineup gets it done in style with a 83-50 win.

McDade with 22 points and 3 assists. He shot 7 of 13.

Farrell with 12 points. Troy with 10 points.

Stevens with 10 points. Vega with 6 points and 6 boards. Dillard and Kabba each had 10 off the bench.

The next game is going to be ugly I fear, unless McDade and Farrell both have huge nights. We are hosting Washington. They are 17-3 and 4th in the media poll. However, their top player is slowed by shin splints..

SR PG Piotr Mencio is 6'3 202 and is rated 89 overall now. He has it all, speed, handles, passing, shooting, and defense. His only weakness is his stamina and strength. He is averaging 15.9 ppg, 5.4 apg, and 1.8 spg.

JR PF Damian Snowden is 6'9 228 and is rated 88 overall. He is an unselfish player or he'd be scoring a lot more. He can score every way possible, but he is also a very accomplished passer. He's averaging 10.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, and 3.4 apg.

JR SG Stewart Simon is 6'5 230 and is rated 87 overall. He is incredibly fast for a SG of his size and he has great handles. He is a good shooter. He is an explosive dunker. Yet, he is also unselfish. He is averaging 7.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, and 3.2 apg.

JR PF Vytautas Hornsby plays C for them. He is 6'9 260 and he can stretch the floor and hit from almost anywhere. He is also comfortable working in the post now. He is averaging 17.3 ppg, 6.2 rpg, and 1.9 bpg. He is rated 87 overall.

JR PG Cal Bailey is their leading option off the bench. He is 6'1 206 and is rated 86 overall. He loves to shoot when he comes into the game. He is averaging 13.6 ppg (7 point increase from last year) and 2.6 apg.

SR SF Bryce Henning is their lowest rated starter, but he is still a star. He is 6'7 245 and is rated 86 overall. He is a very good offensive player who doesn't shoot much at all. Defensively, he is above average. He is averaging 4.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 1.1 bpg.

SO SG Cornell Hooks is 6'4 200 and is rated 82 overall. He is well above average in most areas except defense where he is below average. He is averaging 5.4 ppg.

SO PF Dane Challed is their #1 big man off the bench. He is 6'7 230 and is rated 81 overall. He is averaging 3.3 ppg and 2.7 rpg.

FR C Devon Wise is going to be a beast in the future. He is 6'10 255 and he has 3 point ability and good post up ability. His weaknesses are slow foot speed and stamina. Right now he is only playing 3-5 minutes per night and averaging 2 ppg. He is rated 78 overall.

The rest of the bench is rated in the high 70's as well including 2 players who are rated 79.

I'll play them later.

15:00 - Considering our opposition, this is some of our best offense of the year. Great ball movement.. good shots, some of them falling. We are tied at 8.

12:26 - Vega picks up his 2nd foul going for a block. We are up 15-11. I bring in Abdur-Rahim.

11:52 - McDade on the fastbreak gets a 2nd foul on Hornsby. We are up 18-11 after he makes the "And 1."

9:15 - I rest my starters. We are up 22-17.

5:05 - Abdur-Rahim picks up his 2nd foul. We are up 26-23. I'm pleasantly surprised by my team's play tonight.

3:13 - Back to my starters. We are up 30-26.

1:11 - Wise, who has only been in for 2 minutes this half, gets a 3rd foul on Vega. We are up 34-31.

As the half is about to expire, McDade steals it and throws a great bounce pass for a nice dunk by Stevens.

Halftime: We lead 38-31.

Farrell is the player of the half. His defense is getting much better than the beginning of the year (I've had him concentrate on defense in practices.) He has 8 points, 2 assists, and a steal. He has shot 2 of 4 and 4 of 4 from the line.

McDade with 6 points and 4 assists. Stevens and Vega each have 6 points. Troy with 4.

15:00 - Our offense is really clicking now with Troy hitting a pair of 3's, McDade hitting a 3, McDade hitting a 12 footer, and McDade getting a steal and breakaway dunk among other plays. We are up 54-38.

10:10 - Vega with a 12 footer gets a 3rd foul on Hornsby. We are up 62-47. McDade is having a great game, the type of game I expect from him every night.

7:21 - I'm blown away. McDade is doing it at both ends. Steals, good defense, great passes, great shots. He's doing it all tonight. Usually, I get steals from my full court trap, but I've abandoned that this year (but maybe should reinstate it with Farrell's height.) McDade is just getting straight up steals from guarding Mencio who seems slowed by his injury. We lead 72-49.

3:59 - Things seem secure enough to finally rest my starters. We are up 79-57.

We win the game 82-62. Very happy and surprised. I was considering just simming this season out if we got our butt whipped, but now I see some real potential for this team to surprise some teams in the tourney if I can make it.

McDade is the player of the game with 22 points, 8 assists, 6 steals, and 3 turnovers. He shot 8 of 10, 3 of 4, and 3 of 4.

Farrell with 14 points, 3 boards, and 4 assists. His presence on the floor really causes things to space out as they crowd him to stop him from shooting the 3. He shot 3 of 7, 0 of 3, and 8 of 8.

Troy with 14 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He shot 5 of 9, 2 of 4, and 2 of 2.

Stevens with 7 points, 6 boards, 1 assist, and 1 block.

Vega with 14 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. He shot 5 of 8 and 4 of 4 from the line.

Dillard led the bench with 5 points on 2 of 4 shooting.

Dawson with 4 points and 3 assists.

We held Mencio to 1 of 10 shooting. We held Simon to a 1 of 6 shooting. Henning torched Troy for 21 points. Snowden had 21 points as well. We held Hornsby to 2 of 9 shooting.

Today we play at #10 Cal. They are 16-6.

Bye bye good feeling. They smoke us 94-56. All 5 of their starters had at least 13 points.

Farrell led our team with 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting. McDade shot 3 of 10. Troy shot 1 of 8. Vega was 2 of 12.

Our next game is at ASU. They are 13-7. We beat them earlier in the year 75-62. Their center, Cortez is injured again but will play. He has Patellar Tendonitis. Their star PG's are all healthy. I'll play them later.

I just lost my first half summary due to a mishit button. We started off falling into a 9-0 hole. We battled back to being tied at 23. Then, they went on a 9-0 run towards the end of the half. But we responded with a 8-0 run including a 3 by McDade at the buzzer.

Halftime: We are down 34-33.

Gale, who was hurt the first game, had 10 points to be the player of the half. The SF had 3 3's in a row on one of their runs.

McDade leads our team with 8. Troy and Vega with 6. Farrell with 5.

19:13 - McDade with a drive into the lane gets a 3rd foul on Cortez!

15:02 - Down 44-42. McDade is starting to really play well.

9:22 - Farrell misses a layup that would have given us the lead. Down 51-50.

8:41 - Farrell hits a FT to tie it at 51.

8:15 - Cortez with an offensive putback dunk. I rest my tired starters.

6:45 - Kabba with a fastbreak dunk. We are up 56-55.

6:02 - Kabba with a 3! 59-55 lead.

5:00 - Cortez with a pair of quick baskets. We are tied at 59.

4:10 - Fuller with a basket and Cortez responds quickly. Tied at 61.

3:20 - Kabba with a 3 and Sessoms misses a 3. Fuller with the board.

OH NO! Walton steals it from Dawson, then hits a 3 and gets fouled at the other end. He makes the 4 point play. Down 65-64.

2:55 - I call a timeout and bring back all of my starters except Troy. Kabba is playing too well right this second to take him out..

2:31 - McDade beats Walton and takes it all the way for a layup.

1:55 - Cortez with a beautiful move in the post. He has 20. We are down 67-66.

1:28 - Kabba misses a wide open 3.

1:15 - McDade tips a pass and Stevens steals it. I call a timeout and bring back Troy.

43: Farrell drives and gets fouled. He makes the first FT to tie it up! He misses the 2nd.. Cortez gets the board.

They shoot a quick 14 footer and miss.. Cortez gets the board again.

They hold for last shot.. Farrell with good defense on Sessoms, he passes to Walton.. McDade with good defense on him.. he passes to Gale in the corner for a decent look at a 3 at the buzzer.. it is a bit long. We are going to OT! Tied at 67.

4:13 - Vega with a post move for 2. Walton finds Sessoms for a long 2. That is his 10th assist.

3:43 - McDade with a screen gets open, drives, a crossover to beat Sessoms, floats towards the rim and draws contact with Cortez and makes the layup! He hits the FT! He has 21 points. Cortez has 20.

3:14 - Walton finds Gale for a 15 footer. 72-71, we lead.

2:46 - McDade shooting a 3 when Walton fouls him. He makes 2 of 3.

2:30 - Cortez is called for 3 seconds in the lane!

1:58 - McDade hits a long 2 where his foot was just on the line. We lead 76-71.

1:37 - Vega with good defense as Cortez misses a shot in the post.

1:09 - Vega with a good screen that frees up McDade who buries the 3.

:53 - Sessoms misses a 3. Troy with the board. They foul him. He makes 1 of 2.

They miss a quick 3 and that ends it.

We win the game 80-71.

McDade is the player of the game with 28 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 board. He also turned it over once. He shot 8 of 13, 3 of 6, and 9 of 12.

Farrell with 9 points, 1 board, and 1 steal. He shot 2 of 10, 1 of 7, and 4 of 6.

Troy with 11 points, 2 boards, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He shot 3 of 4 and 5 of 6 from the line.

Stevens with 3 points, 3 boards, and 1 block. He shot 1 of 5.

Vega with 9 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, and a block. He shot 3 of 4.

Kabba with 9 off the bench.

Cortez finished with 20 against us. Gale with 15 and Sessoms with 13. Walton had 8 points, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 4 turnovers.

Today, we are hosting UCLA. I hope McDade comes up big...

Yes! We beat them 77-66.

McDade with 20 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 4 turnovers. He shot 7 of 14, 2 of 6, and 4 of 6. Howel had 11 points and 7 assists against him.

Farrell with 3 points on 1 of 5 shooting.

Troy with 14 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He shot 7 of 19.

Stevens with 7 and 7.

Vega with 7 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks. Dillard with 15 points off the bench in only 20 minutes.

We are now 16-8. UCLA drops to 10-12 as they inexplicably struggle.

Our next game is vs 9-14 Arizona. We beat them at their place 69-65. If we can contain Randall, we should be able to do it again at home.

17:40 - McDade got hit with a charge on our first possession and now Randall just got a 2nd foul on him. I'm keeping him in anyway.. We are up 6-4.

15:20 - SOB! McDade got hit with a 2nd charge call on a bad call where Neverett's feet were shuffling. I can't believe it. I pull him for Dillard who is going to get the chance to play the point. We are up 12-4.

14:00 - Two turnovers by Farrell lead to 4 easy points. We lead 12-8.

Dillard is looking very good running the point. He's the fastest/quickest player on my team and he is getting inside much better right now than he did earlier in the year. 3 good passes for assists to Vega once he got inside including the last alley-oop that just led to them calling a T.O. We lead 18-8.

9:10 - Dillard is going to get more PT at PG after this performance. We lead 27-16 as I rest all of my starters except Dillard who will stay at PG. As a result, I need another SG/SF to come into the game.. Annen will finally get the chance to play.. at SG.

2:12 - Dillard keeps it up. He is making great pass after great pass, including setting up Abdur-Rahim for a wide open 14 footer that he swished. We lead 39-29 as I bring back my starters (except for McDade who will come back to start the 2nd half.)

Halftime: We lead 42-29. McDade getting into foul trouble may have been the best thing ever, although I was toying with the idea of Dillard at PG for a while now..

Troy is the player of the half with 13 points, 3 boards, and a block. He has really benefited from great kickout passes from Dillard.

Dillard with 8 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals.

Farrell with 6 points. Vega with 7. McDade with 4 points and 2 assists from before he was in foul trouble. McDade and Dillard held Randall to 4 points and 0 assists.

16:40 - Stevens picks up his 3rd foul. We lead 51-36. Troy with a pair of 3's to start the half.

9:06 - I put in Dillard at PG, Annen, Kabba, Fuller, and Abdur-Rahim to see if they can finish this out. We lead 63-44.

5:02 - Dillard to Annen for an alley-oop dunk on the fastbreak. His first points in a long time. Dillard's 10th assist. We lead 72-52.

We win the game 80-55. Dillard will get much more PT at PG.

Troy wins player of the game with 20 points, 4 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He shot 6 of 9, 4 of 6, and 4 of 4. Dillard really got him going early.

Will Dillard's more minutes lead to some tough wins? Next up is Stanford at our place. They are 15-10 but they are talented.

They beat us 68-66.

Dillard did good in 23 minutes with 4 points, 8 assists, and 4 boards, but it wasn't enough.

McDade led the team in scoring with 15 points on 5 of 10 shooting. He also had 5 assists.

Farrell with 6 points as he shot 2 of 4. We need to get him to take more shots consistently.

Troy with 11 points on 4 of 11 shooting.

Stevens and Vega each had 5 points and 3 boards. Vega also had 2 blocks.

Annen with 6 points. Kabba with 5.

We are now 17-9 and we have 4 regular season games left. Our RPI is 32 and we are 3rd in the Pac-10. Should be enough to get into the Big Dance as long as we win a few of these last few games.

Next up is a very winnable game at WSU. They are 9-15 (3-11.) They have 3 good players:

JR SG Niemer Halsch is small at 6'1 180, but he is a good 3 point shooter who is rated 81 overall. He's averaging 11.4 ppg and 2.9 apg.

JR SF Ross Taylor will play the 3, 4, and 5 for them. He is 6'10 230 and is rated 81 overall. He doesn't excel in any area, but he doesn't have any weaknesses either. He's averaging 7.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg.

JR SF Lonnie Callahan is 6'6 213 and he is their best midrange shooter. He's rated 80 overall. He's averaging 11.3 ppg and 4.4 rpg.

JR PF Brennon Braxton is their best rebounder. He's 6'9 222 and is rated 77 overall. He's averaging 2.6 ppg and 3.3 rpg in limited minutes (due to Taylor playing mostly at PF.)

SR SF Nik Leadbetter is 6'5 190 and is the lone senior on the team. He's rated 76 overall. He's averaging 4.8 ppg.

FR C Akil McCants is their hope for the future. He's a good young center at 6'9 230 and rated 76 overall. He's averaging 6.2 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

FR PG Percy Paschel is their only true PG on the roster. He's 6'0 176 and is rated 69 overall. He's averaging 3.7 ppg and 1.5 apg.

Their bench is rated in the high 60's to low 70's.

16:39 - WSU jumps to a 9-0 lead before McDade finds Vega for a dunk and the foul. He finishes the 3 point play.

13:45 - Wow, Ross Taylor has 11 points against us already. We are down 13-6 as he is destroying Stevens.

10:46 - Farrell with a pair of 3's to tie it at 15.

8:52 - I rest my starters and go with Dillard, Annen, Kabba, Fuller, and Abdur-Rahim. We are tied at 19.

Ross Taylor with 3 offensive boards before he finally puts it back in..

5:40 - Holy cow. Taylor hits a pair of 3's. He has 22 of their 26 points! We are down 26-22.

2:03 - I bring back my starters. We are down 33-25.

Halftime: We are down 33-27.

Taylor played 18 minutes of the 1st ahlf and is the player of the half with 22 points, 5 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. Where did that come from?

Vega leads our team with 7 points. McDade with 4 points and 3 assists. Farrell with 6 points.

Wow. Taylor is starting the 2nd half at SG in their very big lineup...

They start the half with a 9-0 run before we start making some good adjustments including running more..

15:00 - Down 44-31.

10:00 - I'm trying to get Taylor into foul trouble, but I just can't get him to bite. Meanwhile, we are resorting to double teams and his teammates are hitting open shots. We are down 55-41. This is an embarassing effort/loss from the team.

8:23 - My starters are tired. Let's see if the 2nd unit can close the gap at all. Down 59-43.

We close the gap, but time is running out. Down 68-57 with 2:30 to go as I bring in my starters to see if they can make one last charge.

We lose the game 70-61. I have to resist the urge to just sim the rest of the season, since that loss was so frustrating.

Taylor finished with 35 points, 12 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He played a game high 35 minutes. He shot 13 of 17, 3 of 3, and 6 of 6. I sure didn't see that coming..

Braxton with 14 points and 10 boards.

Callahan with 13 points.

McDade finished with 6 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 3 of 13.

Farrell with 9 points. He shot 3 of 10.

Troy with 7 points. He shot 3 of 7.

Stevens with 8 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists. He shot 3 of 3.

Vega with 15 points, 5 boards, and a block. He shot 5 of 10.

Kabba led the bench with 7 points. Dillard with 2 points and 2 assists as he just couldn't handle their size and physicality.

Things don't get any easier as we travel to play Washington. They are #3 in the media poll with a 23-4 record.

They pound us 100-69. Mencio with 21 points and 11 assists against us. Bailey with 26 points. Simon with 20 points.

McDade was held to 2 of 10 shooting. He's been a huge disappointment.

Farrell with 5 points on 1 of 6 shooting.

Dillard with 1 point and 3 assists on 0 of 6 shooting.

Stevens was our leading scorer with 11 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks.

Vega with 9 points and 6 boards. Fuller with 9 points and 3 boards. Kabba with 8 points.

We are now 17-11 and our RPI has dropped to 47. We are now on the bubble and experts are projecting we won't make it into the tourney..

I'll decide tomorrow where or not to just sim out the rest of the regular season. Our last 2 games are hosting Oregon State and Oregon.

Some stats so far:

McDade, who is now rated 90: 14.4 ppg, 4.3 apg, and 1.8 spg. He is shooting a career low 40% from the field, 33% from the arc (also a career low.) He is averaging 9 ppg more than his previous career high.

Jerald Dillard, is now rated 89 (and will be our starting PG next year if he doesn't go pro) is averaging a career high 5.9 ppg and 2.1 apg.

Troy is now rated 88 and is averaging a career high 9.8 ppg and 2.5 rpg. He is shooting 39% from the field, 8% lower than last year. He is shooting 32% from the arc, 6% lower than last year.

SO Olu Vega is now rated 80. He is averaging 7.8 ppg and 6.6 rpg, both career highs by a huge margin. He is shooting 46% from the field. He shot 60% last year.

FR SG Arzelle Farrell is averaging 9.1 ppg and 1.4 apg. He is shooting 40% overall and 37% from the arc.

I'm over my frustration. I'll play out the season. This team has too much talent to give up on them. If we can win 1 of these last 2 and have a good showing in the Pac-10 Tourney, this is a team that should make the Big Dance and could do some damage if our scorers get hot.

17:25 - We are down 6-0 when McDade drives into the paint and gets hammered by their center. He is down on the ground and has to be helped off the court. He can't put any weight on his leg at all..

Dillard in at PG to shoot the FT's and he makes them both.

Dillard with a steal and fast break layup..

Vega with a board initiating a fastbreak layup by Dillard.

15:02 - I just got the report that it looks like McDade has a broken leg and is done for the year (It is worth noting that the only slider I changed between this year and last was to bump up injury frequency and severity to 90 as it seemed like it had been many years since I had an in game injury of any severity.)

11:44 - Vega picks up his 2nd foul. We are down 18-12. I bring in my entire second unit with Dillard staying at PG for a few more minutes.

10:06 - Dillard to Annen for a tremendous dunk on the fastbreak. We are down 18-17.

8:34 - Dillard with a 3. Dillard with a steal, breakaway layup and the foul. He hits the FT to convert the 3 point play. We lead 23-20.

They hit a pair of 3's to take the lead back.

6:03 - They hit another pair of 3's before Dillard makes a 12 footer to end the run. We are down 32-25.

3:15 - They are killing us with ball movement and 3's. We are down 40-32. I call a timeout and bring back all of my starters with Dillard staying in at PG.

Halftime: I can't believe we are down 47-40 to Oregon State at our place.

Dillard is the player of the half despite us being down. He has 20 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Their SF and SG are lighting us up. McDade, their SF, has 15 points.

17:41 - Stevens picks up his 3rd foul. We are trying to slow it down and they are trying to run. We are down 51-44.

15:00 - Vega picks up his 3rd foul but will remain a few minutes. We are down 55-50.

9:34 - Dillard is as exhausted as I've ever pushed a player, but he kept playing well so I couldn't pull him.. until now. He has nothing left. Hopefully, he can get back in with 4 minutes if it is close. We are down 64-59 as our slowed down tempo has worked very well. We've been pounding it inside. I rest all of the starters.

4:30 - Annen defies gravity with a tremendous double pump dunk as he gets our crowd going. Great pass from Dawson. We are down 76-67.

4:21 - Dawson with a steal... passes it to Annen, who is on the break.. he fakes to his right goes to his left and dunks over a defender and gets the foul. 76-70.

3:55 - Abdur-Rahim with a rebound.. quick pass to Dawson, who passes to Annen.. he is 1-on-1.. he fakes to left.. goes to his right.. and loses the ball.. it rolls out of bounds.

3:31 - They get a 12 footer from Phisher.

3:20 - Kabba uses a screen to get free and drives into the lane where he is fouled.. he misses the first FT.. and the 2nd.. Abdur Rahim with the board. We reset and call a timeout. I'm bringing back my starters.

2:45 - Farrell gets fouled as he is shooting a 14 footer. He makes both FT's. Down 78-72.

2:21 - McDade with a 3 over Troy.

2:02 - Troy gets a 3rd foul on McDade. He makes both FT's. Down 81-74.

1:47 - Farrell gets fouled on a 3 point attempt after Dillard stole the ball! He makes all 3!

1:43 - We try our full court trap and Farrell gets the steal! He is fouled shooting a long 2. He makes both FT's. 81-79.

1:12 - They miss a 3 by McDade.

1:05 - Farrell has an open 3.. he takes it.. and misses it.

:45 - Phisher takes an open 14 footer and misses it.

12 seconds - Dillard sets up Troy for a wide open 3.. and he misses it. They get the board and pass it to Phisher.. We foul him. He makes the 1st.. and misses the 2nd. Vega with the board. Farrell bringing it up the court.. he calls timeout to set up a play. 6 seconds left..

Farrell catches the inbounds.. gets a perfect screen from Vega.. and swishes the 3! We are going to OT!!!

4:20 - Troy starts off overtime with a 12 footer. Phisher answers with one of his own. Tied at 84.

3:51 - Dillard is so tired, but he manages to beat his man using a screen and drives to the lane where he is fouled. He makes both FT's.

3:20 - McDade with a 14 footer on the wing. He is so good coming off those screens. He has 26.

2:50 - Troy misses a 3.

2:43 - McDade misses a pullup 3 on a breakaway.

2:19 - Stevens gets a 5th foul on McDade!! He also makes the pair of FT's.

2:02 - Troy picks up his 4th foul, but their SG/SF Vukusic misses the first FT. He makes the 2nd. We lead 88-87.

1:20 - Dillard with a careless pass that is stolen, but they miss the breakaway basket.

57 seconds - Dillard drives into the lane, kicks it out to Farrell for an open shot.. It's a long 2. We lead 90-87.

42 seconds - Phisher misses the 3. Vega with the board.

8 seconds - Dillard misses a 14 footer that was well contested.

They get the board and run.. set up a good look for Phisher.. he shoots the 3.. and it is long!

We win the game 90-87 in OT.

Dillard is the player of the game. He finished with 23 points, 10 assists, and 6 steals. He shot 5 of 10, 1 of 3, and 12 of 13.

Farrell with 19 points, 2 boards, 1 assist, and 2 steals. He shot 5 of 13, 2 of 7 (including the big 3 to get us to OT and keep our at large bid hopes alive), and 7 of 7.

Troy with 15 points, 3 boards, and 1 steal. He shot 3 of 10, 1 of 4, and 8 of 8.

Stevens with 4 points and 9 boards.

Vega with 10 points, 12 boards, and a block. He shot 2 of 6.

Annen led the bench with 9 points. He is showing some real explosion out there.

Dawson with 4 points and 1 assist. He is going to have to step up as I fear the injury to McDade is serious. Time to get the news..

Good news.. sort of. McDade's injury isn't a broken leg, but it is severe shin splints. He is out for 3-4 weeks, but if we can manage a deep tourney run without him, he could be back for the end of it.. I don't want his season to end like this. Will the team rally with Dillard starting at PG?

Our last game of the year is at home vs 16-10 Oregon.

We beat them with one of our best efforts of the year! 88-58.

Dillard with 11 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists. He shot 4 of 7.

Farrell with 9 points on 2 of 5 shooting.

Troy with 14 points, 8 boards, and 2 steals. He shot 5 of 11.

Vega with a team high 17 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 7 of 11.

Stevens with 7 points and 5 boards.

Annen led the bench with 9 points. He is the player that our staff says has shown the most growth this year.

Abdur-Rahim with 7 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks.

We finish the regular season with a 19-11 record, 11-7 in Pac-10 Play. We are 3rd in the conference. Here are the full standings as we prepare for the Pac-10 Tourney:

1. Washington (#3 in the media poll) 26-4 (16-2)
2. #16 Cal 22-9 (12-6)
3. USC 19-11 (11-7)
4. ASU 18-10 (10-8)
5. Oregon 17-11 (9-9)
6. Oregon State 16-13 (8-10)
7. Stanford 18-12 (8-10)
8. UCLA 13-15 (6-12) - Franklin Howel should have been a Trojan
9. Arizona 10-18 (5-13)
10. WSU 11-17 (5-13)

Our first opponent will be Stanford. They beat us 69-55 at their place and 68-66 at our place this year. A look at their starting lineup:

JR PG Edward Stephens has a broken finger that will mess up his shooting. He is 6'2 209 and is rated 82 overall. He is a very smart player who is an exellent ball handler and he has good athleticism. Should be able to stay in front of Dillard. He is averaging 7 ppg and 3.4 apg.

SO SG Moshood Ballard is 6'3 213 and is rated 83 overall. He is an excellent 3 point shooter who is faster than Farrell but Farrell is stronger and has 3 inches on him. He is averaging 11 ppg.

JR SF Frederick Barlett is 6'9 220 and is the guy on their team I worry about the most. He is quick, he can post up well, and he can shoot the midrange shot. He is averaging 11 ppg, but he could explode this game if Troy can't get into his chest. He is rated 85 overall.

JR PF Cam Moran is 6'9 231 and is rated 87 overall. He is their best post up player, their best defender, and their best shot blocker. He's averaging 14.1 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 2.1 bpg.

SO PF Jerrio Challed will play center for them. He is 6'10 255 and is rated 81 overall. He is a strong player with an excellent first step for his size. He's averaging 9.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 1.9 bpg.

SO PG Terrence Wade leads their bench. He is 5'10 180 and is rated 80 overall. He is their fastest player on the team. He is averaging 6.3 ppg and 2.9 apg.

SO SG Johnnie Blackett gave us major problems last time we played. He is 6'5 200 and is a good outside shooter. He's rated 73 overall.

The rest of their bench is rated in the high 60's to low 70's. I'll play them later this week.

15:00 - We lead 8-7. Farrell and Troy each with a 3 for us early.

12:45 - We are on a 8-0 run, Stanford calls a timeout. We lead 13-7. Dillard is making great decisions early..

Barlett who just came back from a 2 minute break is starting to take over. He ends the run with 8 straight points of his own.

6:40 - Troy with a pair of baskets to end their run. Our guys are all tired. I bring in the 2nd unit for a few minutes. We lead 24-19.

3:37 - Annen with a very athletic dunk attempt gets a 2nd foul on Moran. We lead 27-22.

Annen at the other end with a great block.

1:17 - Challed and Fuller with a nasty collision.. Challed is down and has to be helped off the court. He looks like he hurt his ankle. We lead 27-25.

Halftime: We lead 29-28.

Troy is the player of the half with 10 points. He has shot 4 of 5. Farrell has 5 points. Dillard has 4 points and 4 assists.

Barlett has 12 points.

17:56 - Challed was just cleared to return to the game and has done so. It's just a mild sprained ankle. We lead 32-28.

14:31 - We lead 37-32. Farrell with a 3 and Troy with a long 2.

8:39 - Vega picks up his 4th foul trying to help Troy with Barlett. We lead 45-40 as I rest all of my starters for a few minutes..

7:01 - Kabba with a pair of 3's! We lead 51-40.

3:36 - I bring back my starters. Strong play from the 2nd unit allowed me to rest them back to full energy. We lead 56-46.

We win the game 61-49.

Farrell is the player of the game with 15 points, 1 board, and 1 assist. He shot 5 of 10, 4 of 7, and 1 of 2.

Dillard did a great job getting him the ball at his favorite spots. He finsihed with 8 points, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover. He shot 4 of 6.

Troy with 13 points, 2 boards, 1 assist, and 1 block. He shot 5 of 9, 3 of 5, and 0 of 0. He held Barlett to 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting.

Stevens with 3 points, 3 boards, 3 assists, and 1 block.

Vega with 6 points, 8 boards, and a block. He shot 2 of 6.

Kabba led the bench with 9 points on 3 of 4 shooting (3 of 3 from the arc.)

Dawson with 4 points and 2 assists.

We are now 20-11.

Our next game is against #13 Cal (23-9.) We beat them 64-60 at our place and lost at their place 90-56. We need to contain SG Roscoe Hoskin and SF Kalu Stevenson.

Experts say we are still on the bubble despite a RPI of 36 now.. we need this win.

I've had several requests in the last month for my most recent sliders. I've been answering in PM's, but no reason not to post the updated set here as well. The only thing that has changed in the last season or two is the injury setting which I bumped up this year:

Play Mode: Simulation
Difficulty: All-American
Half Length: 20
Simmed Half: 20
Game Speed: 55
Player Speed: 40
FT Difficulty: 65
Real FT %: On
Fatigue: On
Injuries: On
Team Unity: On
Sixth Man: On
Clutch Factor: On

All of the rules are at default. Fouls are as follows (may need to be toned down, because I set them with a perimeter based offense.)

Charging: 100
Blocking: 78
Reaching: 65
Shooting: 83
Loose Ball: 100

Shooting Sliders (All sliders are same for User and CPU except for the tendencies which are only for the CPU):

15:00 - We are up 8-4. Dillard has 3 assists already. Great job setting guys up.

8:15 - Our guys have played with tremendous intensity, but they are exhausted. We bring in the 2nd unit. We lead 16-12.

7:32 - Hoskin gets fouled by Annen and makes a 3 point shot. He converts the 4 point play to tie it at 16.

Hoskin with 2 more back to back 3's. We are down 22-16.

Annen led our offense among the 2nd unit, but he gave up a lot of points to Hoskin who had 14 quick points.

Halftime: We are down 33-23.

Hoskin is the player of the half with 14 points, 2 boards, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

Farrell and Troy each have 7 points for us. Dillard with 5 assists.

16:40 - Attempting to run and press doesn't work well. We are down 41-27.

13:45 - Trying to rotate guys out in shifts to always keep one of my best scorers on the floor. Kabba and Abdur-Rahim in to give Troy and Vega a rest. We are down 43-34.

12:03 - Farrell with a 3rd foul on Garrity! He converts the 3 point play. We are down 43-39.

Stevenson hits a 3 over Kabba to end our run.

Stevenson beats Kabba off a screen, drives, and unks it.

Gruber dunks it on a pick and roll. We are in trouble.

Kabba responds by getting to the line and hitting a pair of FT's. We are down 50-41.

9:11 - We are now down 52-41 as I call a timeout and rest Dillard and Farrell. I go with Dawson, Kabba, Troy, Abdur-Rahim, and Vega in our big lineup. Let's see if we can create some defensive stops and quick points..

5:20 - Hoskins with a pair of 3's to end our closing the gap. We are now down 60-47. I call a timeout and get the rest of my starters back into the game.

Troy misses an open 3 and then allows Stevenson to score on the other end.

Farrell hits a 3, but misses a subsequent wide open 3 (thanks to a great setup by Dillard.)

3:45 - We are down 63-50.

Troy with a 14 footer. Stevenson with a 3 to shut the door on us?

Yes. Our offense is getting shut down now..

Ouch.. ugly incident to end the game. They keep bombing quick 3's in the last 2 minutes and our guys didn't like it. Troy hammers Stevenson to the ground and it looks like Stevenson is hurt..

I'll have to watch the news tomorrow for the report, but his season might be done. Is ours done?

We lost the game 78-56 as they scored 12 in the last 2 minutes.

Hoskin with 28 points. Stevenson with 18.

Troy led our team with 17 points, 2 boards, and 2 steals. He shot 5 of 13, 1 of 4, and 6 of 6.

Dillard with 7 points, 9 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 0 of 5.

Farrell with 12 points, 3 boards, and 1 assist. He shot 4 of 11.

Stevens with 2 points and 4 boards.

Vega with 8 points, 8 boards, and a block.

Annen with 5 points to lead the bench.

Stevenson just has a strained muscle in his back and will be able to play through it. He'll be less than 100% for 4-5 weeks though.

#13 Cal goes on to beat #2 Washington 85-70 in the Pac-10 Final. Will that be enough to help us get in?

Time to watch the tourney selection show... we are on the bubble.

They announce the bubble and we are near the top. That has to be a good sign right?

First we have the announcement of the 4 #1 seeds:

Starting to sweat a bit..

#2 Florida (26-5) vs UC Riverside (16-12)

West:

#7 San Diego (25-9) vs #10 Kansas State (19-12)

Only 3 Pac-10 Teams made it this year.

A-10 got 7 teams in. Big 12, ACC, and Big East each got 6 in. SEC got 5 in. Big Ten and MWC got 4 in. C-USA got 2 in.

We are listed as the last bubble team to get in. Tennessee (19-11) was the first team out.

Despite being the higher seed, BYU is slightly lower ranked in team rating at 89. They finished the year 23-7 (13-3.) One of their top players, starting JR SG Taquan Schafer is out with a strained abdomen. Their 2nd best player, SR PG Vernon Shiloh has a sore knee that might slow him down. Here is a look at their starting 5 and key bench players:

SR PG Vernon Shiloh is slowed by a knee injury but is still dangerous. He is 6'3 175 and is rated 87 overall with excellent shooting ability, strong ball handling, passing, and good defense. He's averaging 15.4 ppg and 5.4 apg.

FR SG Marko Summers moves into the lineup at SG with the injuries. He is 6'5 200 and is rated 78 overall. He was ranked 33rd in his class. He is a subpar shooter but a strong defender and decent slasher. He is averaging 4 ppg.

FR SG/SF Benjamin Chen starts at SF. He is 6'5 193 and is rated 77 overall. He's a good 3 point shooter. He's averaging 5 ppg.

SR PF Brennon Fitzgerald is one of the best offensive forwards in the nation. He has great size at 6'10 240 and he has a wide variety of post moves and he is an elite rebounder. He is rated 89 overall. He is averaging 14.9 ppg and 8.2 rpg.

SO C Reece Cohen is 6'10 255 and is rated 76 overall. He is an excellent shot blocker and defender. He's averaging 6.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 2.1 bpg.

SR PG Leonard Maldonado leads the bench. He is 5'11 211 and is rated 82 overall. He's the best 3 point shooter on their team. He's averaging 14.6 ppg and 2.3 apg.

SO C Erik Merchant is 6'10 240 and is rated 76 overall. He only plays a few minutes a night and as a result he is averaging 1.2 ppg and 1.1 rpg.

FR C Grant Fitch is 6'9 201 and plays some 3 and 4 for them. He's averaging 3.1 ppg and 1.9 rpg. He rated 75 overall.

The rest of the bench is in the low 70's.

15:00 - We lead 7-6. Vega with 4 points early.

12:40 - I rest Troy, Stevens, and Vega. We lead 12-9.

7:28 - Farrell with a trio of threes. We are tied at 23 as I rest a very tired Dillard and Farrell. Troy, Stevens, and Vega return. Kabba will play SG.

3:25 - I get my starters back in. We lead 29-28.

Halftime: We lead 36-30.

Farrell is having the type of game I envisioned when I was salivating over his impending signature. He has 15 points and 2 boards. He has shot 5 of 10, all 3 point attempts.

Vega with 10 points in a huge night. He's had several offensive putback dunks. Troy with 6 points. Dillard with 5 assists.

12:00 - Farrell is having a great night scoring, but he needs a break. I bring in Dawson and Kabba, resting Dillard and Farrell. We lead 48-42.

7:20 - We are on a 10-0 run before they answer with a 3. We lead 55-45. We call a timeout and bring back Dillard and Farrell resting our other starters.

4:00 - Farrell gets a perfect screen from Abdur-Rahim and hits another 3. He has 28 points. We lead 62-50.

2:14 - I bring back all of my starters to make sure we finish it out. We lead 65-54.

We win the game 70-54!

Farrell is the player of the game with 31 points, 2 boards, and a steal. He shot 12 of 21, 7 of 14, and 0 of 0.

Dillard with 7 points, 7 assists, 1 steal, and 3 turnovers. He shot 3 of 3.

Troy with 8 points, 3 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 3 of 7.

Stevens with 4 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, and a steal. He shot 1 of 3.

Vega with 14 points, 7 boards, and a block. He shot 5 of 8.

Dawson led the bench with 6 points and 1 assist.

Stevens helped hold Fitzgerald to 12 points and 9 boards. We held Maldonado to 2 points on 1 of 10 shooting. We held Shiloh to 2 points and 8 assists.

Who is our next opponent?

#3 Seed Xavier beat Yale 82-58 to advance to face us. Xavier finished the year 26-7 (12-4.) They are rated slightly higher than us with a team strength of 92 (ours is down to a 91 since McDade was injured.)

One of their top SG's is out for the year with a torn ACl. Two of their top young players are playing through calf and ankle injuries respectively.

They are led by SR SG Taylor Schifino who is healthy and very dangerous. He's 6'3 225 and is rated 88 overall. He is a dynamic slasher who can finish well, shoot the midrange shot, and occasionally hit a 3. He is also an above average defender. He's averaging 14.1 ppg and 3.2 apg.

SO C Fernandez Skeeter is a 6'11 235 pound player from Farmington Hills, MI. He is already rated 87 overall, one of the highest rated Sophomores I've ever seen. He was the 3rd overall player in his class in H.S. He is expected to be a lottery pick in the upcoming draft. He is a tremendous athlete who can jump out of the building. He is a capable passer for a big man and he can shoot the midrange shot well. He is also an excellent rebounder and defender. He is averaging 14.6 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.4 spg, and 1.3 bpg.

SR SF Kentrell Bogans is 6'8 243 and he is rated 84 overall. He's their 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team. He's also a very good defender. He's averaging 12.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.1 spg, and 1.1 bpg.

SR PF Hans Warren is 6'7 220 and is rated 84 overall as well. He's their most accomplished post player with a variety of moves. He's averaging 9.9 ppg and 6.1 rpg.

FR SG Trace Sandoval is playing a lot of PG for them due to injuries to their normal starting PG who is still available. Trace is 6'9 220 (I thought Howel was a monster) and is rated 83 overall. He's from Cincinnati, OH. He was the #1 player in H.S. last year. He is expected to be a 1st round pick if he comes out this year. He is extremely fast and quick, with great ball handling ability, good passing, good post up ability, and good dunking ability. His shooting and defense both need some work. He's averaging 8.3 ppg, 3.3 apg, 1.8 rpg, 1.7 spg, and 0.5 bpg.

SO SG Kalah Dearmon is 6'4 204 and is rated 83 overall. He is the best 3 point shooter on their team and rivals Farrell for ability to do so. He is averaging 12.7 ppg.

JR PG Wilbur Cole who was starting is available but is battling a partial tear of his calf muscle. He is 6'2 183 and is rated 82 overall. He has a nasty first step, he can also pull up and drill the jumper from almost anywhere on the court. He is averaging 11.5 ppg and 4.4 apg.

JR SG Christian Duggins is 6'3 199 and is rated 81 overall. He is an extremely fast player who suffered the torn ACL. He was averaging 5.6 ppg before the injury.

SO PG Moe Clement is battling an ankle injury. He is averaging 3.4 ppg. He is 6'5 195 and is rated 79 overall.

The rest of their bench is in the mid to high 70's.

I'll play them tomorrow.

18:40 - Farrell has drawn 2 quick fouls on Schifino! They slide Sandoval to SG and bring in Wilbur Cole at PG! Still a scoreless game.

15:00 - Both defenses playing very tough. We are down 3-2.

12:30 - We are playing a much slower tempo than we used to, but this is wild. We lead 4-3.

Farrell hits a 3.

Bogans hits a quick 14 footer. It's a scoring explosion

Actually, we do have some quick scoring now.. Troy with a drive and the foul. Dearmon dunking over Troy, making the shot and the FT.

11:00 - We lead 9-8. I rest Farrell and Vega, bringing in Kabba and Abdur-Rahim.

10:37 - Dillard with a drive, collides with Skeeter.. Dillard is down and holding his knee.. That is very bad news for us. Dawson is in for him.

10:24 - We are in the double bonus. 2nd foul on Dearmon thanks to a nice move by Dawson.

7:03 - Abdur-Rahim gets a 2nd foul on Skeeter. We lead 21-14.

6:00 - We lead 22-15. I go with Dawson, Farrell, Kabba, Abdur-Rahim, and Vega resting Troy and Stevens.

Farrell gets fouled by Sandoval while shooting a 3 at the buzzer! He makes all 3 FT's to end the half.

Halftime: We lead 31-23. Farrell, Dawson, and Troy all playing well.

Farrell is the player of the half with 9 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist.

Dawson with 7 points and an assist. Dillard has been cleared to return, but Dawson will start the 2nd half as Dillard is clearly slowed by his sprained knee. Dillard will play some minutes though.

Troy with 7 points and a block.

Bogans is their leading scorer with 7. We've held Sandoval to 0 points on 0 of 4 shooting.

Schifino's foul trouble has limited him to 2 minutes on the court in the entire half.

15:00 - Our offense is clicking now. Vega hitting an open 12 footer. Troy and Farrell hitting a 3. We are up 39-27.

14:33 - Skeeter picks up his 3rd foul trying to stop Troy from driving inside.

12:57 - Farrell gets a 3rd foul on Schifino. We lead 42-30.

12:26 - I rest Vega and Dawson. Dillard and Abdur-Rahim into the game. Still 42-30.

Dillard is moving much slower. No speed at all.

11:24 - After Dillard missed a 3, Troy got the rebound, we reset and Farrell drew a 3rd foul on Clement by posting him up. Farrell makes both FT's.

Dillard is beat easily by their PG, but Abdur-Rahim blocks his shot!

9:50 - Sandoval beats Dillard easily, dunks it and gets the foul for his first points of the night. I have no choice but to pull Dillard, he can't play like this. Dawson seems rested from the short break, so I put him back in. 44-33.

9:30 - Stevens gets a 3rd foul on Bogans. He makes both FT's.

9:22 - Dawson with a steal, takes it up for a dunk.. and gets hammered by Bogans from behind! That is Bogan's 4th foul.. Dawson gets up and brushes it off. He misses both FT's.

8:00 - Farrell with a pair of 3's. We lead 52-33!

7:15 - Dawson gets a 3rd foul on Cole. He makes both FT's.

Skeeter with a nice post move to end our run. We lead 54-35.

3:40 - We are emptying our bench! Andrisevic, the walk-on SR SG will get to finish the game at PG. Annen at SG, Kabba at SF, Fuller, and FR Walk-on C Duane English will get into the game. We lead 66-37.

We win the game 66-44.

Farrell is the player of the game with 27 points, 2 boards, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Finally, a SG who can really shoot the rock. He shot 7 of 12, 6 of 10, and 7 of 7.

Dillard with 0 points and 2 assists in 12 minutes.

Troy with 12 points, 3 boards, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block. He shot 3 of 7.

Stevens with 4 points and 6 boards.

Vega with 6 points and 8 boards.

Dawson led the bench with 12 points and 10 assists in 26 minutes. I guess he might be ready to take over the starting PG job next year after all, even with Badu coming in to challenge him as well as Dillard's move to PG..

Abdur-Rahim with 5 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks.

Bogans was their leading scorer with 12 points on 4 of 12 shooting. We held Schifino to 0 of 8 shooting in 18 minutes. Sandoval was 1 of 9 from the floor.

Who will our next opponent be?

We are playing San Diego State! Hopefully, we can beat them and convince guys to stop picking them over us They are even with us in roster strength at 91. They finished the year 23-9 (11-5) They are a bit PG guard heavy:

SR SG Allen Sanderson is their top player. The 6'4 200 pound guard is from Compton, CA. He is one of the players who chose them over USC a few years ago. He was ranked 16th in his class. He is now ranked 88 overall. His strengths are his defense, rebounding, and midrange shooting. His 3 point shooting is just average. He is averaging 10.6 ppg and 6.3 rpg.

SR PF Jarron Wade is from Long Beach, CA. He is 6'10 265 and is rated 86 overall. He is an excellent shot blocker who is has some nice post moves and amazing speed for his size. He could easily play SF if they didn't need him at PF and C. He is averaging 16.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, and 2.5 bpg.

JR PG Danko Nystrom is 6'0 183 and is from Phoenix. He is a superb midrange shooter, an ok 3 point shooter, a great ball ahndler, and a top notch defender. His biggest issue is stamina. He is rated 86 overall. He is averaging 12.3 ppg, 3.9 apg, and 2.0 spg.

SO C Alexander Shimokawa is the only true center on the team. He is 7'4 270 and is rated 79 overall. He is from Escondido, CA. He doesn't have very good post moves, but his pure strength/size allows him to score in bunches. He also has a surprisingly nice midrange shot. He is slow and plodding which is his big weakness. He is averaging 14.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 0.8 bpg.

FR SF Kingsley Fazekas is from San Bernadino, CA. He is 6'7 205 and is rated 76 overall. He isn't a very good shoote, but is a solid defender and good finisher when he gets an open lane. He's averaging 5.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.2 apg, and 1.2 spg.

The bench is led by 2 JR PG's. Percy Matela is from Fresno, CA and he snubbed us as well. He is 5'10 175 and is rated 85 overall. He's the best 3 point shooter on the team. He was ranked 12th in his class. He's averaging 7.7 ppg and 1.6 apg.

JR PG Valdas Riddle is the 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team. He is 5'11 175 and is rated 84 overall. He is from Las Vegas. He's averaging 4.5 ppg and 1.7 apg.

The rest of the bench is rated in the low 70's.

Before I play, a quick look at the rest of the Sweet 16..

Dillard is starting, but if he doesn't look right early, Dawson will be in very quickly.

17:52 - On a switch, Stevens draws a foul against their massive center. He makes both FT's. We lead 5-2.

17:13 - Farrell with a drive gets a 2nd foul on their center! We lead 7-4.

16:54 - Dillard gets a 2nd foul on Nystrom who gambled for a steal!

15:00 - Dillard with a drive gets a 2nd foul on Wade! We are up 9-7.

12:45 - They are going with a 4 guard offense that is really pushing the pace. We are tied at 15 as I call a T.O. I rest Dillard and Vega.

9:18 - Farrell draws a 2nd foul on Matela to end their 10-0 run. He makes 1 of 2. We are down 22-16.

7:12 - We are down 26-17 as I rest Farrell and Stevens. Dillard, Kabba, Troy, Abdur-Rahim, and Vega in now.

I kept wanting to make a switch in the last 3 minutes, but we never got any stoppage of play.

Halftime: We are down 34-29.

Fazekas is the player of the half with 6 points and 2 steals. Sanderson and Matela each have 5 points for them. Riddle with 4.

Troy leads our team with 6 points. Dillard, Stevens, Vegga, and Kabba each have 5. Farrell with 3. He needs to have a much better 2nd half. He only shot 0 of 4 in the first half.

19:31 - Troy with a drive gets a 3rd foul on Wade.

17:31 - Troy, who is our leading scorer with 10 points, picks up his 3rd foul on a drive by Fazekas. I put in Kabba for Troy. We are tied at 36.

16:38 - Vega draws a 3rd foul on Shimokawa. We are still tied at 36.

14:34 - Farrell gets fouled hard and hits a 12 footer... he is down and holding his ankle. We have to assist him off the court.

My staff recommends going small with Dawson at PG and Dillard at SG. I do it since they are going small. We lead 42-40.

Sanderson with a 3 over Dillard.

Holy cow. Bradford, their backup PF, just CRUSHED Dawson after he drove inside. Dawson shakes it off and hits the FT's.

11:30 - Riddle with a fade away 3 to tie it at 46.

Dawson uses a screen and drives inside and gets hammered again. He misses the first FT.. and makes the 2nd.

10:44 - Kabba gets a 3rd foul on Fazekas.

10:20- Stevens with a steal that starts a fastbreak which is finished with a great pass by Dillard to Dawson who dunks it and gets fouled! He misses the FT. We are up 50-46.

8:50 - Farrell has been cleared to play. We'll see how well he can move on that anke. Sanderson has just hit another 3 over Dillard. We go with Dawson, Farrell, Troy, Stevens, and Abdur-Rahim. We lead 53-50. They bring their starters back.

Farrell fakes the 3 and feed a nice pass inside for a Troy dunk.

Shimokawa with a huge dunk over Abdur-Rahim.

Farrell misses a pair of 3's, but he is moving alright out there.

Troy with a 3, a steal, and a block in the space of a minute.

5:15 - Troy drives inside and gets a 4th foul on Shimokawa. He misses the first, but makes the 2nd. We are up 59-52.

4:55 - They try to post up Farrell and he blocks the smaller SG's shot! That starts a fastbreak which Dawson fails to finish as he misses a dunk.

4:25 - Sanderson with a 14 footer. We are up 59-54.

3:52 : Farrell hits Troy for a open 16 footer which he drills. They call a timeout. Dawson is tired, I go with Dillard to finish it. I also bring back Vega.

3:25 - Wade tries a wide open 3, but misses it badly.

2:30 - Farrell misses a 3, Sanderson hits a quick 3 at the other end. 61-57.

2:00 - Nystrom steals it from Dillard and has a breakaway layup.

1:27 - Farrell posts up his man.. kicks it out to Troy who hits a 3 despite being guarded fairly well. 64-59.

1:08 - Wade misses a 12 footer. Vega with the board. They are playing for the stop..

39 seconds - Troy misses an open 14 footer.

26 seconds - Sanderson misses a 3. Vega is fouled. He misses the 1st FT but makes the 2nd.

17 seconds - Sanderson hits a quick 3. They foul Dillard quickly. He hits the first FT.. and misses the 2nd, but Troy gets the offensive board! They foul Troy. He makes both FT's.

9 seconds - Wade takes another open 3.. he misses it again. Farrell gets the board and is fouled. He makes 1 of 2. We lead 69-62.

Sanderson makes a 3 at the buzzer, but it is too late.

We win the game 69-65.

Troy is the player of the game with 23 points, 6 boards, and 2 steals. Finally, he shows the shooting potential that our staff thought he had as a freshman. He shot 7 of 8, 5 of 5, and 4 of 6.

Dillard with 8 points, 7 assists, 2 boards, and 2 steals. He shot 1 of 5.

Dawson with 7 points and a steal.

Stevens with 5 points, 5 boards, and 2 steals.

Vega with 9 points, 12 boards, and 1 assist. He shot 2 of 7 but 5 of 7 from the line.

Farrell with 12 points on 3 of 10 shooting. Kabba with 5 points.

We'll be playing Nebraska in the Elite 8.

Nebraska finished the year 24-9 (9-7) They are rated 91 in overall rating. They are completely healthy.

They have very good depth at SG and SF and a very good balanced starting 5:

So SG Neal Drayton is their leading player. He is 6'6 205 and is rated 86 overall. He is from New Mexico. He was the #2 player in his class in H.S. and is expected to go pro after this year. He is one of the top 3 point shooters in the country. He is also a great post up player for a guard. He is a gifted passer and has excellent court awareness. Defensively, he is almost a sieve. He is averaging 16.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg, and 4.2 apg.

JR PF Dexter Emerson is an effective offensive weapon inside. He is 6'6 227 and is rated 85 overall. He has a good assortment of post moves and is a good rebounder. He's averaging 12.3 ppg and 5.9 rpg.

SO SF Virgil Jorgusen is from St. Louis. He is 6'6 200 and is rated 82 overall. He is an atheltic slasher who shoots the 3 well, but he tends to defer to all of the players around him. As a result, he is averaging 4.2 ppg.

SR C Monty Bogart is the veteran leader of the group. He is 7'0 240 and is rated 81 overall. He is a terror inside with a great hook shot and a good footwork. He is averaging 20.7 ppg and 8.2 rpg.

FR PG Ellis Gunn is from Memphis, TN. He was the 12th ranked player in his class. He is 6'0 180 and is rated 80 overall now. He os a well balanced player who doesn't excel in any area yet, but doesn't have any real weaknesses either. He is averaging 8.8 ppg and 5.2 apg.

SO SG Domanic Bremer leads their bench. He is 6'6 220 and is rated 83 overall. He is very quick and is an effective slasher but is not that good at finishing. He is above average defensively. He is averaging 4.6 ppg and 2.1 apg.

SO SF Xavier Huff is one of 3 wing players with tremendous length that they have coming off the bench. He is 6'9 225 and is rated 82 overall. He is from Stillwater, OK. He is a spectacular dunker but doesn't set himself up well. He is a good defender. He is averaging 5.0 ppg and 2.3 rpg.

JR SF Jud Coulter is the quickest of the 3 bench players. He is 6'8 230 and is rated 82 overall. He is averaging 4.8 ppg and 3.0 rpg.

SO SF Akin Okpalobi is 6'9 215 and he is the best shot blocker of the 3. He is also the best midrange shooter of the 3. He's averaging 8.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg and gets the most minutes off the bench.

FR PF Jasper O'Connor was ranked 22nd in his class. He is a fast athletic big man who can shoot the midrange shot. He's getting very limited minutes this year, but is still averaging 3.3 ppg.

The rest of the bench is rated in the mid to high 70's.

I'll play them later tonight.

I forgot to mention the big news: McDade has been cleared to return to action. I'll have to debate on whether or not to start him. Right now, I'm leaning towards starting Dillard and having McDade play backup at PG and SG.

It looks like you've done a really nice job of finding lineups that gel towards the end of the year, despite having to play through injuries.

That, plus a sweetheart draw, could give the Trojans a hugely improbable Final Four trip.
