Strong rumors that Belichick will be leaving the Pats after this season--lots of rumbling about that all year, of course. But now we are getting some actual reporting.

Hall of Fame career whether he hangs it up or goes to another team. Nothing he can do going forward can take away the eleventy billion Super Bowls he's already won.

I am, however, already a little peeved at the New England fans though for something that hasn't even happened yet. I watched the Saints game there earlier this season, and there were TONS of empty seats by the end.

These same fans, of course, will pack the stadium for the last home game and yell and scream about how much Belichick meant to them. Even though these same fans couldn't be bothered to actually stay and support him a month ago.

The Belichick thing, and the Mac Jones thing, are incredibly divisive topics among Patriots fans.

Sadly I think if he does leave, the Panthers owner won't be able to say no to him coming there.

I don't think Belichick will want to be fired 6 games into next season when they are 1-5 again.

I can't understand why anyone would want to give Belichick GM duties at this point (or want him to keep them).

I guess I could see a desperate team with talent taking a swing with him if he's willing to give up those duties. The Patriots defense has still been quite great this year considering how often they're on the field, and how often they quickly have to go back on the field after turnovers and 3 and outs. And that's with key injuries all over the place, including their top 2 guys on defense.

The Chargers are the only team that makes some sense. Or I guess the Bills if they miss the playoffs and decide McDermontt has to go. Or, crazier, the Chiefs if they lose a ton of games and miss the playoffs and Reid moves on.

Chargers seem pretty obvious:

(1) Talented roster that has underachieved.
(2) Great climate/weather.
(3) Always looking for something to steal the limelight from the Rams.

I don't know why BB would want to go to a rebuilding team. But a plug-and-play roster that maybe just needs a coach to push them over the top? Sounds great.

I think you’re not supposed to say Super Bowl, if you want the team to win the Super Bowl. Anyways, the Bengals are like +12,000 right now every team in the AFC socks. They can just limp into the playoffs and then bat against them every week or something

Congratulations to Amazon for finding a different way for two 5-8 teams to play a crappy game.

At this point I'm hoping the Raiders put up 71.

Tomorrow? Bets are being taken right now on if he comes out for the 3rd quarter.

I would pay money to see Staley get up on the podium after the game and point out that the score was even after halftime.

Chargers have fired Staley and the GM Tom Telesco.

Has Kellen Moore done enough to get the promotion? I know he was supposed to be one of the next hot coaching prospects.

Case against: Mike McCarthy is doing a better job with your offense than you were.

Case for: He's cheap and the Chargers like cheap.

I just saw the pick 6 from last night, and I swear I've never seen one of those INTs in the backfield where a defender gets in so quick that he almost overruns the ball! That was crazy.

Sounds like Moore turned down the interim gig. Not sure if that's because he wants a commitment beyond this year or doesn't want to get caught up in this mess.

They've got the Bills, Broncos and Chiefs yet. Without Herbert, no way would I take the interim head coaching reins. Commit 100% of your focus on the offence and hope the new HC keeps you around.

Well if it failed the first time then it was obviously "due" to work the next time.

The QB is so small as well. Put Dobbs in there for that play.

Yes! I remember in that old NFL Head Coach game, which I loved, I would always put Josh Johnson in at QB for a one yard sneak. He could always get that yard.

I'll take it. I still think the playoffs are less than 50/50, but win 2 of the last 3 and they are probably in.

The Steelers are so bad right now. This team looks dead on the outside. They started so strong, but as soon as they lost momentum it was over.

Another year showing how running backs arent worth paying.

Colts are 8-6 with their backup QB and Taylor hardly playing.

Titans with Henry stink.

Jacobs of the Raiders averaring low 3's per carry and Raiders have by far their best game of the season when he is out.

Giants stink with Barkley.

McCaffrey the only one really proving his value and hes on a team with several other hige weapons.

Looks like the Lions found a cure for what ails them. I really wish the Broncos had tanked this year because it was all smoke and mirrors - largely on the back of a ridiculous TO advantage for about 5-6 games.
