The only other thing I can think is that either you or Ragone were/are not where you think/thought you were. You have both ran into inconsistencies with the landmarks that NTN and myself have seen. I can vouche for there being very similar rooms. I've fought my dark and chaotic self in rooms that were not even close to each other. I also believe Ragone ran into his dark self in a spot that wasn't the fight your reflection room.

I think there is a reflection fight on every level dubb..

Also think there is a few other fights/room types that span
Different levels..

I've kept a map of the new area I was teleported to.. But until
I see someone else in the same rooms.. Does no good to post. Or I would.
Honestly dubb.. I think I may be in the dead center now..

I wouldn't rule out Jag's chaotic alignment showing him random rooms either.

Then I went right until I was able to go left again today. Now I will be heading back to level 4.

You may want to revisit your PMs and make sure that the cold drake room is where you remember it.

I've been keeping pretty careful track. There have been some oddities though. Thomkal and I should have swapped rooms when we passed each other but I ended up in a room that was different than the one he came from based on the orientation he gave. When he moved again, he was definitely in the room I was in previously and facing the direction I thought he was, so it's possible I somehow jumped over some rooms or wrapped around weirdly when I left the dungeon discount room. I have no real ideas why that would be though, there was no explanation in any PMs that I was warped around.

And I would like to get value equal to that. Yeah, I can't vendor it for that much, but this is a unique ring. The only reason I found the ring is due to my chaos warrior 1-in-6 luck when searching (2 other people have been here and not found it) and then I needed to use a charge from my wand of lock picking to even be able to open the container.

This is weird to me. ntn was in my room on 7/6. I'm assuming he came from the temple, which means he was facing north and he's saying there was an exit to the right (east) where he thought the old jail was. The map shows no exit to the east from that room and it was a level 2 room, so there's some inconsistency there. I also show 4 exits from the werebear room, I'm coming from the north (the statue room, which is a level 2 room), I have exits back (north) and left (east) to level 2, and forward (south) and right (west) to level 3.

ntn, I'm heading where I believe the jail is, if you're interested in teaming up you're only a room away.

Have to remember.. i came at the werebear room from a different direction.. that may account for the difference in exits..

But there are four exits in the room, wouldn't matter what direction you entered from. I have seen temporary doors in the dungeon though, maybe there was a temporary wall there.

As you move to Tap a Tree you apparently stick a tree that’s alive, and it’s not happy! A great Gakarak is here, and it begins to animate a tree to defend itself.

Gakarak – AC3, HP40, Deals 1d10 damage from a branch attack. Every fifth turn, the Gakarak can animate a Tree to move in front of it and attack. 5000 XP when slain

Animated Tree – AC5, HP30, Deals 1d10 damage from branch attack – 2500 XP when slain

You cannot attack a Gakarak while any animated tree is here. You have to slay them first. These critters take 50% more damage from acid and fire attacks, and are immune to electrical.

Ragone - 75/75, AC 3, Deals 1d6+4 with Mace, gets +5 to hit with Mace and Ring, Thaco normally 14 for a 7th level fighter. Needs a 6 to hit teh Gakarak, and a 5 for the tree.

His chainmail of Blending helps him to Ambush the Animated Tree.

Ragone swings and rolls a 9 and hits for....3+4 - 7 damage x2 - 14 damage.

They need a 9 for teh Gakarak and 11 for the Tree to hit him. Here we go. 16 and 4, Ragone takes 4 damage

71/75

Ragone's Mace is out and.....20 is rolled - hit for 5 more damage 19 dealt. They both hit and Ragone takes 11.

60/75

Ragone rolls a 1 and misses. The Tree smashes him for 1 damage.

59/75

Ragone's 11 connects for 8 damage. 27 dealt. They miss him.

THis is now the 5th round, Another Tree animates and moves to attack Ragone.....

Ragone needs to slay teh wounded tree now. He attacks at it and gets...7 which hits for at least 3 damage and the Animated Tree falls. He is attacked twice for 9 and 3, and he takes 3 damage

56/75

Ragone smashes the newly animated Tree for 8 damage - 22 left. Ragone is hit once for 7.

49/75

Ragone smashes once, for 7, and then is hit once back for 2. 15 hp left on that Tree.

47/75

12 rolls by Ragone, and 6 and 15 by his foes. Ragone smashes for 6. 9 left. Ragone takes 7.

40/75

This is the last turn before another tree sprouts out. RAgone needs to slay this one now - he tosses a 11 and hits for...................7 damage - 2 left. He is missed.

Another tree animates.

Ragone smashes the wounded one dead to rights. Then he takes 10 dback from two hits.

30/75

Ragone can't use a lot of healing until he really needs to, he can;t get to where he has 2 or 3 trees, especially since he hasn;t connect to the Gakarak yet.

Ragone swings at the unwounded Tree and....13 hits for 8 - 22 hp left. THey roll 14 and 1 and hits one for 6.

24/75

And then it happens. Ragone....misses - he tosses a 3. They hit once for 5.

19/75

He's too far behind now. He spends a turn self-healing 37 hp gained. The aniamted tree hits him once for 4.

52/75

Ragone swings, connects, and drops the tree by another 8 hp to 14 left. And then after two attacks miss him, another tree animates.

Now he is facing 2 trees, the Gakarak, and likely will lose those battle.

Two turns later, Ragoen slays the wounded tree and took 17 more damage.

3 trees have fallen to him thus far. Even if he left now, he's gained a level - level 8 after battle.

He decides to stick around to slay another tree or two for teh XP, and smashes again.

random.org

Ragone slays 5 trees, has 12500 XP Gained, is down to 32/75 hp after fleeing, and used one healing pot.
