Every game where Fields and Jones look like viable long-term NFL starters is a game where the Falcons have to be kicking themselves just a little harder.

Who knows how things will look in five years. And Kyle Pitts looks like the real deal. But these decisions are judged with hindsight.

Even thought I hate the Patriots and dislike Brady (although, like Peyton Manning, I'm coming around to him -- they have done a good job of not taking themselves too seriously over the past few years. Good PR teams.), I am enjoying seeing both Brady and Belichick have success without one another. I like that they can both be considered the GOATs (or among the GOATs) without having to hear about one having made the other.

The Falcons should have went full fire sale before this season started. They have just made the rebuild take another year or two longer.

I am not enjoying this. I still want them to go 2-14 (well, 2-15 or 3-14 now with the schedule hijinx) till the end of time. To hell with Joe Buck's assertion that watching this reload is "fun."

Everyone ready for Timmy Time?!

Got your tickets for The Boyle Bus?!

Getting ready to feast on The Boyle Bonanza?!

It would be hard to be worse than Goff, but what a delight for the football watching nation if Boyle starts again on Thanksgiving.

I don't follow enough college football to know, but are there any good QB prospects for next years draft? Seemed slim pickings for a bunch of teams who need franchise QBs. Makes me think Houston is smart in waiting on trading Watson.

From what I am reading/hearing, this is one of the lowest rated QB classes in a long time.

Amen.

Read up on some random FF article saying to 'downgrade' all your Lions fantasy projections a.k.a move Swift from RB 16 to RB 25, etc

Really? did the 55 yards Goff had in the FOUR QUARTERS vs Pittsburgh make anyone believe that a change could be WORSE? Nah.

Yes, its very possible for them to be worse. You never know what happens, but I seriously doubt Boyle comes in and convinces everyone the team's better off with Goff on the bench.

This isn't hating on Boyle, and obviously he's not the same player he was then, but his college stats include 12 TDs and 26 INTs. That's the kind of player we think should quarterback an NFL team? Really?? Campbell's putting a brave face on it because that's what coaches do, but there's absolutely nothing to indicate Boyle won't be an absolute dumpster fire.

So no. I'm not ready for Timmy Time. Not even a little bit. It has all the potential for 'completed seven passes, three to his own team and four to the opponents' particularly if the running game falters.

Boyle is objectively worse at every part of throwing the ball, but he's still less hesitant than Goff, which is somehow easier to watch.

The INT looked like the receiver's fault, or at least, he thought the WR was going to stop.

Tim Boyle is to quarterbacking as Lavar Arrington is to color commentary.

An immediate impact, too. But he's in because Fields was hurt.

Meanwhile... Boyle... I don't think he should start when Goff is ready to return.

Was only a matter of time for Fields to get hurt, playing behind that line.

What a lot of people forget, however, is Dalton was actually playing pretty well before he got hurt & benched. He's arguably a better fit for what Nagy stubbornly clings to with an offense. It's been pretty clear Nagy has little clue what to do with a QB like Fields.

I'm rooting for the Colts but I didn't expect a 38-7 game here.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas has 4 TDs. Hope you had him on your fantasy team this week.

Bills and Titans shit the bed, great week continues for the (first place) Patriots.

The Patriots also have the best point differential in the league at the moment.

I expect them to drop off a bit in the next 4 games, but the long forecasted post-Brady dark times may be held off.

Yeah the fucking Titans losing to the Jets and Texans at home. Then they beat all the playoff teams. AJ Brown went out with an injury. I expect your Pats will kick our ass and if AJ is out even more so. Just too many injuries for Vrabel to plug holes. We mostly have third or fourth stringers playing a good part of the time now.

I take I should be glad I don't listen to Lavar Arrington?

Let's start Blough on Thanksgiving just because. I mean the Lions found a way to lose another game they could well have won (what else is new) even though Cleveland didn't score in the second half. If you're going the performance art route, don't half-ass it.

Waiting for the 'hey, he passed for 77 yards, that's better than Goff's 55' takes in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

I will say one of the most annoying things to me about the NFL since the Brady-Pats split is that every week it seems they must talk about the Brady or Belichick debate.

I want to gag every time it comes up, and I'm not a Patriots hater, I was made into a tepid fan because I thought the haters were being ridiculous. I just wish people would move on already. There are pundits I don't listen to because they won't shut up about it.

My guess is it gets the clicks. I remember the era when every story was about Favre. I was listening to a podcast, and a reporter said that's because Favre stories always got the most engagement. It wasn't any more complicated than that.

ESPN wouldn't produce so much Brady content if people didn't click on it.

So this is really all of our faults :-)

They've never fired anyone in the middle of the season and they aren't really run like an organization that cares about winning. So I think they'll just let him ride it out and fire him after the season.

I guess if they get blown out in Detroit that could change, but Trestman was in a much worse spot at one point and they hung on to him till the end.

I want it to be true only because I don't want the Bears to play well down the stretch and they decide to keep Nagy based on it.

Before this season, I wasn't sure if the problem was Nagy's coaching or Pace's personnel decisions. Right now, I'd like to see them both gone along with Phillips. Hopefully, they can get a group in place that can move together with a common plan. Always felt to me that Pace made moves and told Nagy to make it work, which he was unable to do. Never seemed like the players were a good match for Nagy's desired system.

Maybe Jerry brings back Jason Garrett as OC when Kellen Moore gets hired as a head coach elsewhere this off season.

Pace has had one winning season in the 7 years he's been in charge. 8th worst record in the league. Don't see how they can keep him after this season.

I can't be the only person who wanted to know what was the Giants' justification for hiring Jason Garrett in the first place? Assuming this came from the organization on background, I don't have high hopes for the next hire either.

The New York Giants hired Jason Garrett for these 3 significant reasons

Number one is an all timer.

Quote:
1.) A modern offense with similar tendencies to the 2019 Dallas’ unit

First of all, the Dallas Cowboys had the number one ranked passing attack in the NFL last year. They were first in total yards, second in passing, fifth in rushing, sixth in scoring, and ranked second in third-down conversions.

Most of these impressive statistics are derived and implemented by Kellen Moore, who was a first-year offensive coordinator with the team. The hope is that Garrett gained wisdom from Moore and his thought process on the modern-day offense, which will hopefully translate over to the New York Giants. This is a major reason they invested in his talents and Joe Judge stated exactly that in his press conference via zoom on Tuesday.

The Bears won't be winners until the McCaskeys no longer own the team. They are football stupid. There is no way in hell that Pace or Nagy should have been given as many chances as they have been. Both should have been gone two years ago. It is so clear that Nagy cannot coach at an NFL level. He is not a head coach or even an OC based on his clueless game decisions and flawed game plans week after week after week. That's the evidence (and has been for years), and if someone thinks that he's better than he showed then you belong on his staff of incompetents.

And Pace? He is good for three things -- drafting RBs, signing players over 30, and giving up draft capital. Trushitsky was an awful pick, and now he gets another chance at a first round QB and picks Fields. I have no idea how good Fields is because he is playing behind a D3 O-line constructed by Pace. And you have to sign Jason Peters as the LT? Really? A complete joke of a GM. Again, the evidence is clear and has been for years.

Do Detroit get a Thanksgiving game every year to make everyone else thankful they don’t support the Lions?
