Definitely continues on that same path with some good moments mixed in and still worth finishing.

Is there a good source or two for "the other side". I enjoyed the documentary - but could clearly see a slant and would like to see a different take on the second murder.

The way Brendan's defense attorney worked to get him to confess is ridiculous.

There's a few sites that talk about it. This is a decent round up.

Making a Murderer: Here's the Evidence That Was Left Out | Time

For the most part:

1) They didn't tell you that his DNA was found on her car.

2) He had answered the door when she came in just a towel. It made her so uncomfortable that she told her boss she wouldn't go back there for a job. When he called a month later, he asked for her specifically and gave her a fake name to get her to come.

3) Bullet from his gun had her DNA on it.

One of the other things I learned was that hole in the blood sample was normal. It's how they did the testing. There was nothing suspicious about it but the documentary made it seem like this was a huge break that proved tampering.

Season 2 is reputedly much better. But from what I understand, it wasn't Netflix that yanked the rug.

It was Disney/Marvel.

I remember reading some Iron Fist comics, never was a great fan.

The Netflix series was seriously underwhelming. I watched 4 episodes and then gave up on it because it was just so boring.

First 4-5 seasons are my favorite of any series I’ve ever seen, including breaking bad. It falls off pretty quickly as these shows tend to do.

We watched it in 2009 before streaming. We blew through our disks and couldn’t wait for the next one so we walked to blockbuster and rented it there. Ahh. Life before kids.

Up to 4 the show is real good. But man, it falls off a cliff shortly after and just doesn't stop till the end.

Season 1 is still one of my favorite seasons of a show of all time. But they slowly went away from what made the show work and by the end was just a caricature of itself.

This is my thoughts too. I love the world building and some of the characters. But the story is kind of a mess.

I thought during Season 2 they figured out what they wanted to be (a spy show in an alternate universe). But they kind of went away from that in Season 3.

It feels like they want the show to be a prestige drama, but it's just not well-written or well-acted enough to accomplish that. Plot moves far too slow (practically nothing happens in Season 3) as well.

I'm not sure I've ever watched a show with more spectacularly dull acting (aside from Rufus Sewell.) I know it's part of the tone of the show, but damn, everyone seems sedated, it makes it a bit of a slog to get through. You'd think they'd value charisma a little more in the Reich and Japanese Empire.

I still watch. I'd love more world building too but there's just enough little world building kernels thrown in that keep it interesting enough for me.

I saw a trailer for Narcos season 4 today and was sad to see Pedro Pascal wasn't in it. The first 3 seasons were outstanding, even after Boyd Holbrook left after season 2. They cast Michael Pena as the lead agent this season so my hopes are quite low.

Bodyguard , new BBC (miniseries) that's streaming on Netflix, is amazing.

Narcos is really underrated. Loved season 1. Felt like the stuffed too much of Escobar's story into it though and it left season 2 a bit empty (although still good).

Thought Season 3 was alright and looking forward to the reboot.

Watching it now. First major scene on the train was great, tense buildup in the loo.

Atypical Season 3 picked up. First season was good, second season was great and laid the foundations for a Season 3 that could be great a second time or a sudden nosedive, depending on how they handle the storylines. They've done a quality job thus far though, so I'd be willing to bet more on the former rather than the latter.

Season 2 of Big Mouth is just as good as 1.

It really is the show that America needs.

Need another recommendation. Looking at starting a new show, what do you guys think?

1. The Haunting of Hill House
2. The Man in the High Castle
3. Ripper Street

Horror is not my thing so I've skipped Haunting of Hill House.

Ripper Street is great, though - one of the few shows where the ending is quite satisfying.

Finished watching it. The MILF thing was interesting. The second half was not as good, the ending seemed rushed.

Overall, still a good watch.

Yeah, I think it's between Ripper Street and Man in the High Castle. Both seem right up my alley from a genre/concept. I'd be interested what people who've seen both (or love/hate one) think. Based on your comments, Ripper Street is in the lead.

I am not a horror fan at all. I could probably count the number of horror movies I've watched on one hand. I generally find them lacking in depth and story. With that said, if there is a good story, then I'll enjoy the movie.

I've watched the first two episodes of the Haunting on Hill House however and must say that it is very good. I'm not sure I would even describe it's primary genre as horror. Look at it more like Stranger Things (if you watched and enjoyed that). There's definitely supernatural moments but there is also a lot of drama, fantasy, thriller type stuff going on.

Its a British lawyer show. Pretty raunchy. And entertaining. Interesting premise to the show.

No problem. Unfortunately the Aussie flag still has the Union Jack in its corner - and looks like it'll still be there for a good while yet.

Didn't see anything on it, but the second season of Big Mouth might have been better than the 1st. Probably the best comedy about puberty I have seen. I think it should be required watching for kids hitting that age, despite the language being quite heavily R rated. As immature as it can be, it covers the subject matter with enough maturity to make it very valuable IMO.

If Season 4 was the one with Lithgow, I really liked it. I don't remember if it was season 5 or 6 when the show started to fall off a cliff.

Also there will be a direction for a character they go down in the coming seasons that is just abysmal. I believe it culminates in a final scene of a season. I'll be curious to see if you can point out what I'm talking about.

It was Lithgow in season 4. Dexter finally "gets" him and when he returns to his house, he finds Rita. Litgow had some great acting. Smits too.

I'll be starting on Season 5 tomorrow.

FInished Season 5.

I liked the season and him finding a shared purpose in Lumen, and the development of that relationship.

However I hated the excess on the rape/abuse of the 13, somewhat too graphic with all the pictures taped to the walls at the police station and recordings that were played.

His kids and baby are just pure distractions to me, little value.

I didn't notice anything in the final scene of the season?

It's been awhile. 1 and 2 were absolutely riveting!

Poor Doakes
So wrong

3 was so fun! Smits was on FIRE that season! Loved his character and the plot

4...whoa 4....4 sent me over the edge. The ending turned me off from the show totally

best thing about 4 tho is how they developed his father (James Remar) as kind of a ghost that judged his actions ....kinda haunting and funny at the same time...instead of just using remar in flashbacks

however by this time Deb had seriously gotten annoying and her relationship with dexter very repetitive....

and the lietenant and the sergeant suddenly having a relationship was like where the hell did that come from...he was JUST dating someone at the previous season finale! the relationship was very forced during season 4
i don't expect it to get better. I never delved past ep 2 of 5 and heard it got very bad from then on anyway

I actually liked the Lumen storyline. That season had its issues, but the central relationship between Dexter and Lumen was very interesting. Season 6 is where it lost me.

Oh me too. Not a horror fan, but do love a good supernatural thriller. I convinced the wife to watch with me and we've binged the first 8 episodes in 2 days. Will finish tomorrow. Great show. More like This is Us for supernatural thrillers. Great character development and a story that is hard to take your eyes away from the screen. It's been fantastic.

Almost done with Season 6.

All of a sudden Dexter is like a super cop/detective. I prefer when he was just a serial killer.

I saw the Gellar angle way back, it was disappointing how predictable it was.

EDIT: Uh oh, hints of step incest. Not good. Guess it shows you how a psychiatrist can get into someone's head.
