Night 5 results

Another successful day for the group! Will this nightmare ever end? Will you ever feel safe living in the world as an enhanced human being? Is there any sort of cure? Would you want a cure?

Again you flip on the tube over your eggs, this time hoping for a better newsbreak then yesterday. Sadly, it's reminiscient of yesterday. Another child has died. This poor girl was poisoned in her sleep in her room. Looks like she had a cool room, all covered with maps. You recognize her instantly as poor little Molly.

So what happened on Night 3? A conversion? The Company didn't send in a kill order?

And what's up with Sylar not killing tonight, does anyone have a vague idea on what the pattern for his kills are? He's only done one so far.

Oh, and my scan on Grey failed. again. random.org hates me. At least Path can vouch for him.

Neon - my guess has been that on night 3 they tried to hit sylar and failed. And as to why sylar didn't kill tonight, its very possible he can't kill twice in a row, and someone also brought up the point of a lack of a kill pointing more suspicion at GRF. Sylar can continue to lay low, even after the company is all gone.

Was I the only attack that night? I thought that was Sylar because of the flying power used against me, but it could have as easily been a Company attempt.

Note that both bad guy teams left the seer (RendeR) and the most powerful character (Schmidty) around to finally get Alan. That is a lot of respect.

RendeR, I assume Chief Rum is an indirect trust for you? I believe the other four represent scans you have performed.

I would have to think Path would be in a COT since we now know Grey is a Hero. Hard to believe Path would risk his life if Company/Sylar given where they stand right now. Unless of course he's lying that there was a random chance he would be killed and had a full 100% chance of being safe.

Not unless his ability works differently than mine, I bluffed earlier when I said that I couldn't be night-killed. In fact, my ability works exactly as Path described it (avoid one night kill, % chance to avoid other attempts, % chance to identify attacker).

I figured I may as well admit this now because:
1.) it goes a step further towards clearing Path if we have the same regeneration power (characters on show have same power)
2.) if the bad guys want to take 2+ shots to night kill me to get me out of the game then that is keeping others alive. Which is fine, as we are moving towards a fairly substantial CoT

Obviously every villager includes themselves in their own personal CoT. I think most people would concede that you are unlikely to be Company, but I'm not sure that is as applicable for Sylar.

Your use of power, and explanation for it, make sense within the context of the show. From where I sit you are more trusted than just about all of the non-seer-cleared folks.

Also, I still maintain that Sylar is less likely to be one of the players with a big-time public role. I don't think Schmidty, MrW, or DT are Sylar based on revealing with significant roles on the show.

I can't verify that Grey is Ted, just that he did indeed get me with a heat attack, which sounded quite a bit like the radiation he said he was going to hit me with.

I was put in contat with CR by jeHeinz. I'm going to assume that he would not create a mental link PM ability with opposing factions himself. If CR had done it on his own I might question it.

This is just enough skepticism for me to not include him yet. That is just the kind of stunt a wolf would pull to gain trust if he had the chance, especially if he's the last one. or a lone agent like Sylar.

I thought a little more on Path and agree that he could have been bluffing on his first "death" - being dropped from air - while knowing this one would fail.

Sylar needs to kill to get his powers, unlike Peter. So Path is Adam Monroe, as far as I can tell. However, I don't have him 100% cleared of being Company. But if he was Company and had already been attacked, then he would have been taking a big risk with this play. I don't know what the % is of living through the second attack, but if he is the last Company member (could they really have six???) then that was a pretty sizeable risk to take.

I repeat what I said yesterday. I'm fine with being lynched if it proves what I've said is true, we have the numbers on our side (I'd be shocked if we didn't by now). Barring that, anyone who wants to scan me is more than welcome to, since I doubt I'll be night attacked at this point. I've proved about all I can.

Mauboy has not demonstrated a power, was a late reveal, has a character whose natural tie-in (father) is not in the game, and has played an uncharacteristic low-risk game. I'm going to need someone to either vouch for him or poke all kinds of holes in my assumptions to go in another direction with my vote today.

In fact, let's just get it out there now.

I'm not going to vote Mr. W right. Lathum at one point trying to point fingers at him for a suspicious reveal as Hiro. I do believe that Lathum was trying to get something else going because his own company was in jeopardy. That relieves Mr W for me, for now. Doesn't mean he can't have been switched tonight or any other night since.

I think we need to lynch a powerful role tonight as to make sure Sylar doesn't inherit the powers for himself. This will also allow us to make sure that powerful role isn't used against us if there was indeed a switcheroo.

Any thoughts on this? I'll be checking in throughout the evening, but I'm workin'.
