Fla. man denies cocaine found in buttocks is his *| accessAtlanta

BRADENTON, Fla. — When sheriff's deputies allegedly discovered a bags of marijuana and cocaine between a man's buttocks, they said he gave a quick explanation. Manatee County deputies said Raymond Stanley Roberts told them "The white stuff is not mine, but the weed is."

Deputies stopped the 25-year-old Wednesday in Bradenton for speeding. Officers said they smelled marijuana and searched him. That's when they allegedly found a bag of marijuana between Roberts' buttocks.

Officers then discovered another bag in there; the report said it contained 27 pieces of rock cocaine.

The Bradenton Herald reported Roberts was arrested for drug possession and has bonded out of jail. The person who answered Friday at a phone number listed for Roberts said it wasn't his.

So tomorrow has to be the only day of the whole year that there's no MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL/College Football/College basketball right?

I guess that's a good enough reason to get drunk.

I think it works for Natalie Portman.
Both Demi Moore (GI Jane) or Sigourney Weaver (Alien 3) looked pretty good.
There's this model, Eve Salvail, who had a bit part in "The Fifth Element" (she played one of the aliens when it was pretending to be human to get on the shuttle) who looks good bald (though I've got mixed feeling about the tatoo of a dragon on her head).

Wrong.

You can watch the Troy v. Middle Tennessee grudge match on ESPN 2 tonight at 8:00 PM EST.

Edit: That's still a good enough reason to get drunk, though.

If only had I moved to Akron, we could have done this once every other week or so.

It'd have been beautiful.

By "it", I mean the singing, of course.

So, in an accidentally recorded conversation, California gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown called his opponent Meg Whitman a whore (i.e., whoring for votes).

They're politicians. Of course they're whores.

The apparent outrage over this baffles me.

I'm ill as a hornet today. For everyone's sake, including my own, I'm hoping it's a day where I don't leave the house until heading to HS football late this afternoon & that my phones & emails are quiet.

Otherwise, I might be held responsible for anything I say/do but that may not be enough to stop me.

My daughter's school had breakfast with Dads this morning. A few observations:

They had us park at the borough building a few blocks away and shuttle bus over. School buses are not made for grown men.

Like many other schools I'd imagine, they are all about no junk food, no candy for class parties or birthdays. Today's menu: coffee and donuts.

When did the good majority of elementary school teachers become hot? I don't remember any of my teachers being even remotely attractive.

At the school I went to, and my dad taught at, probably the majority of teachers were of a similar age. It is possible that we just caught an aging class of teachers. And the staff at your daughters school is at a much younger part of the cycle.

Anybody who visits ESPN.com will see this on the front page, but for those who don't there was a beautiful story about the trapped miners in Chile, mainly one who is a soccer hero down there.

Yep, it's the weekly hype post for my son's school HS football webcast. Darned if it isn't pretty random at times so this seems like the right thread

Tonight there's technical challenges at the venue to boot but with some luck you can watch as Athens Academy visits Social Circle. Pre-game starts at 715, live play-by-play begins at 730 with The Voice of the Spartans Houston Gaines joined by Will Loveless Spartans Webcast

Random didn't begin to describe it.

Easy 42-7 win but a hell of a night for the webcast ... down to only 4 staffers since most of the crew had SAT's this morning. Hell of a thing.

Got a grand total of 45 minutes sleep last night. You win again insomnia.

And I just spent a few hundred dollars to upgrade my computer, so OF COURSE my monitor would die on me today.

I feel your pain on both of those, though, the insomnia has kind of gone away the last couple of months, but, still creeps its ugly up now and then. Just got a new system a couple of months ago and sure enough, about a month later, monitor goes bad.
