The real question is how many more minutes would the refs wait to call a 5th on him? When I saw Plumlee and Kelly with 4 each at about 12 minutes to go, and 5 Creighton guys with 3 fouls at the same time, I bet a friend that 2 Creighton guys would foul out before either of Plumlee or Kelly. Glad Echenique finally made the move that proved me wrong at 2:45 (Plumlee had picked up his 4th at 14 or 15 minutes to go). |

Since I already have two votes (WTF?), I am going to wait to put my vote down to see how things shake out. I know it's only day 1, but I still don't like already having two votes this year!

19 players must be pretty close to what EF expected, so I would think most roles would be in the game. I imagine Dread Pirate Roberts is not, that would give the wolves something they could bluff and doesn't change the balance. Then maybe drop Grandpa and the ROUS? Or drop the Albino?

anyway, I think we have a lot of roles so it would be best to just assume they're all there. Four to five wolves, we've got plenty of work to keep us busy.

You can make a reasonable case for both, but in my opinion there are a lot of potential villager roles with scans, protections, and potentially even grandpa power that could be disrupted by the wolves coming away with the wheelbarrow. That and the fact that the powder has a chance to fail.

Oh, I missed that bit CW. That's true, that's a dead giveaway. I was imagining having to run around in circles if somebody used htat discussing whether they were just a villager. In that case the wheelbarrow seems more of a worry, for example if the seer was revealed and could get in a scan while being guarded.

I don't like having so many people on the wheelbarrow. If a wolf gets it and uses it against us, they'll be pretty hard to narrow down. If the Iocane Powder is used, at least the user and their alignment will be obvious. I guess we can just hope the wheelbarrow goes to a towny. :/

I think it's obvious that we have Miracle Max in the game, from the rules.
For story purposes, we have to consider Westley in the game for the village, and for both story and role, I believe Inigo and Fezzik must be in the game as well. For the wolves, as noted the Prince and Fezzini, I feel, must be in the game, and I also agree with the thinking that Rugen is too key a character to leave out (plus, he's the brutal). Where we're not thinking it through, in my opinion, is viewing their abilities, which can lead us to other conclusions. For instance, the Prince is looking for Buttercup. We agree the Prince is in the game, so I would think so is Buttercup. Plus, she's absolutely a key character in the game. Aside from Rugen being the brutal, IMO, since Inigo is a for sure character story-wise and he is searching for Rugen, that's another point for Rugen being in the game. Vizzini scans for Westley, Inigo and Fezzik. Same thing. The other roles, including the neutral roles, IMO, are less likely to be in the game as a result.

SELECT IOCANE POWDER
I can buy one or the other helping the village or wolves more, and use that as a reason to select that item, but really, I just like the concept of having this and engaging in a battle of wits, lol.

Wouldn't it better to start building a CoT for us to agree on 2 people to have the items and then we could establish views on them? Rather than everybody putting in claims for them and thus we'd have no idea who gets them (I assume)??

I'm generally not a fan of voting someone based on last game play or piling on the first candidate. Since it's early enough, let's see what happens with a third.

Packer, who I killed N1 recently. Three new players. And Mauchow. NOw, him I can understand. But for a D1 blind kill, I don't feel great about lynching the rest, so I'll be adding a new contender.
