I just finished my best ever round, a -3 69. The round included a chip-in, and my first ever eagle opportunity, followed closely by my first ever eagle.
My stats are level 12, handicap of +6 and 17-9-(7)-9. |

Im going to try to setup a match every night this week at 7pm. I will keep the room open until 7:10 and then we will start.
The double Experience event will be going on until thursday folks, and even at level 15 I was easily getting 2.5 levels every 18 holes.

Damn, anyway you can make it a bit later? I usually don't get home until 8. Maybe 1 or two night a late start?

7pm cst just in case you were wondering Marmel. I could, but my gf gets home at 8, and she would frown on this. We have a big enough group of players, that I am sure you could get some action at 8. The double exp events last from 7-9cst, and as long as you start the event, you'll get the exp
Also, would people be interested in a Fofc tournament? I am thinking about having a tourney where everyone submits their 4 best rounds via a screenshot. Another thing we could do is have a skins tournament. Make the stakes low like 1000 or 2000 a hole, and play like 9 holes or something. I think it would be a lot easier to schedule a skins tournament then it would be to schedule a strokes tournament played live.

I really wish it could be live...maybe give the group a specific amount of time to get together and play a round... The people that play 20 hours a day could get way too many opportunities to get a good score

I was actually thinking about breaking it into 2 groups. Levels 1-10, and Levels 11+ for the first type of tournament. The second type of matches would just be randomly seeded I think. The only reason I like the second tournament is cash is involved It would be really different to do the first type of tournament for money.

Or just have one tournament, and set the minimum level at 10. You can get to level 8 in one round of 18, at least 6 or 7.

I'm still having major issues playing the game, can anyone help me out?
Once in the world screen, everything is screwed up. Game freezes for a few seconds (very often), the icons aren't appearing, my character can't been seen on the screen, FAQ's list isn't there. Every once in a while, things will appear correctly for a half a second. I have to hover my mouse over where the beginners course icon should be, and catch it at the right moment when it appears. If I click while it's there, it let's me on the course. Once I get on the course, everything plays perfectly fine. My PC specs all meet the recommended. I have the latest directx drivers. My video card is NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 Pro. I tried downloading the correct drivers from NVIDIA's website, and I found the file that says it supports this model, but when I run the program it says it can't find any drivers compatible with my hardware. Any ideas? Last edited by Raven : 04-17-2005 at 10:39 PM. |

Okay, for the first tournament, it will go on from now, until this friday at 11:59pm cst. Send your screen captures to me at Airhogg at yahoo dot com. Include the level you were at when you took the first capture as that will determine which group you play in. I decided to alter the levels a bit. 1-13 is the lower level, and 14+ is the higher level. I think most scores start to come down around there. You can play alone or in a group, it just has to be all 18 holes, and a stroke match.
The skins match will take some more work, and I'd like some more input before forging ahead.

Just played 9 holes on Fensalir and WOW!!!! That course is 100 times tougher than the Alheilm or whatever they call it. The greens have so many different slopes. Yeesh.
545 yd. par 5 on one of the holes. Took me 4 shots just to reach the green and I'm LVL 15.

Here is an idea for a skins match, though it might be tough to get everyone together at the same time... 8 players split into 2 groups, Skin amount =x. Course = alfheim. Top 2 skins winners from each 4-some go on to play in the finals, Skin amount = 2x, course = Felsair. Edit: or for ease of scheduling purposes get 8 participants and have a single elimination skins tournament (like ncaa brackets where the skins match is just heads up). Take the first 8 sign ups, randomly seed people and see who wins (this is more like match play, but same concept.)

I love the second idea. Since you wouldnt have to play them all at the same time.
Im thinking that it might be fun to double the amount for each hole, each round. Like 1000ng the first round 2000ng the second round and 4000ng the final round. Although instead of 18 holes, 9 may work better here.

The double exp event is still on for 7 tonight, however they have changed the course it is being played on. Fensalir. Of course, you get alot more exp playing here, or so I have heard. Hopefully we can still make 4, but I must warn you, this course is quite difficult compared to Alf. Should be fun though, and it will be my first time playing here.

Nice game Marmel. That putt you sunk from way out yonder with three breaks in the green was sweet.

Im thinking that for tomorrow, if we have enough people we should split up into 2 groups of 3, instead of one group of 4.
I shot a +10 on Fensair, which is pretty good I think. I definately think Ill hit lvl 21 by the end of the week.

That was a good match Airhog. I am 83% to level 21 after playing some 6000K skins against a couple of 21 level guys. Held my own.

I'd be more inclined to play if we played 9 holes.
That being said, I may be home tonight and tomorrow night available to tee it up. |
