Kwhit and the guys are looking for water. Our engineers are working on the engines. Doc prodded me, and now is getting prodded.
You're asking too many questions and my butt hurts.

Do locations have multiple status descriptions or just damaged and fully operational?

I'm requesting a phaser to protect the water supply this evening. Note that this is not a declaration of my night action - just putting this out there for the powers that be to make their determination.
If possible, I would prefer that my phaser status is not public knowledge - that only the sarge knows who he provided weapons to for an evening. But I would like the spawn to be working under the impression that there are armed men guarding the water supply, rather than just harmless me. If a person with a phaser is not attacked, then it is not used and can be re-allocated the next day, correct? |

i hope i get a phaser so i can protect those i put in the brig...im currently using it to house suspects i have, but eventually it will become a safe house from the spawn for our important guys.

if I read my role correctly I can only give out phasers to Security Chief, Security Crewmen, and Galley Master. Any one interpet my role as this? if so how do the other phasers get given out and can I take one myself? |

Scientist checking in, seems that water is in short supply on the ship. I believe I read that is what the away mission is for. Seems like we are making sound decisions already.
This is a little confusing so far, but hopefully after today or tomorrow it all makes a little more sense.

It's mostly getting the pacing down since some actions take place right away, when you are part of it when the actions are going down it's a little easier to pick up I think.

what exactly have i done in order to become a suspect other than start fixing the mose important item on the ship...the rules clearly say that once we lift off, no new spawn can be created, so my thinking was simply to get off the ground as soon as we can to limit the number of spawn that can be created. |

SnDvls - I would like to have a phaser (as Galley Master) in order to better defend our water.
Am I to assume that we are adopting a strategy of not voting for anyone today? While I agree that we are in the dark here and that it seems there are a number of roles, I'm not of the opinion that we are helping our cause by not voting. The act of voting generates pressure on people, who have to respond and thus provide information for us to act upon. By not voting we are allowing the enemy to diminish our numbers without gaining anything via voting patterns, rebuttals, etc. The importance of our roles is not going to change day by day, although perhaps some of the hidden roles will be revealed. |

I dunno... we could vote, but at this point, we'd be liable to have a typical first-day mess where everybody votes for someone different. I don't mind doing that, but the result isn't really going to do anything; nobody will be executed, and there won't be a whole lot to derive from the votes either.

Dola -- I would also think that a non-vote today isn't very helpful, but I can see Mr. W (among others)'s point. If people start voting, I'm all for it, but otherwise I'll stay put.

You were the one random one..lathum for what he did to me last game(that bastard ), pennywise and pass since they are privates on the away mission, and you were kinda random...i actually wanted to throw vince or raiders in there since i wonder about them, but i figured it was too soon for that...you were just a random one...sorry, everyone else had a reason..oy ujust happened to be a name i had read shortly before deciding...hell, i still dont trust ardent...im still deciding if i believe the clean bill of health he got, but putting the captain in the brig on night one, not smart. Sorry saldana...as for the others, its all circumstantial...nothing big, i just can throw 4 people in so i thought i would...might as well use the power i have

Can I get a phaser? After re-reading the rules, I don't think I can, but I'd really like one, as I seem to be a prime target for Spawn attack immediately.

As far as the phasers go I see 2 logical people to get them..
#1 KWhit--He is leading the away mission to get us water. #2 Whoever is protecting our water. I believe this is Hoopsguy? As for Blade getting one to protect the guys in the brig, I COULD see this as valuable later in the game(or if you can get more than 1), but for all we know right now you have spawn in there. I could see it going to better use in the hands of people attempting to get, or actually protecting our water.

I don't really care if we kill someone today, I see the benefit both ways.
That said, I do have at least one suspect, but I got nothing concrete enough to bother mentioning it or bringing heat on them. I'm probably wrong . |

RealDeal - order Bek to repair the engine room. He is the only engineer not currently at work and I can not order him because he is not part of the security personnel.

okay since you already have one then we need to think about if we give one to the other three. Do we trust them to have one now, or wait until a doctor or nurse clears them to help us later? so basically I'm the keeper of who gets a gun for 3 guys right? |

Also, I already have a 3-shot phaser so handing on to me is a waste.

I would give one to Hoops since he is the one protecting the water and is a high-value target for the Spawn.

After all having been out on the planet many times during this month long voyage there is a special tinge of anxiety as KWhit and his away team made up of dubb93, pennywisesb,
Passacaglia, and Marc Vaughan gear up to go to the surface. KWhit stays close to the ship has he sends each of the men out to two different places to look for water. Several hours later each of the men comes back. It seems like a success, but it won't be known for a little bit longer just how much more drinking water the team got. You will find out how much water you got later as I am at a work now and my formula for water is at home. I'll answer questions in the next post |
