TURN 2 REPORT:
HARRRRR! A lively passing o’ th’e tides, if ever there was one. Pirate lore o’ th’ day: “Th’ lobsters may be red, but th’ crabs make ye so.” Two d6 crews were pleased to take berths aboard Red-Eyed Ted’s “Insomniac Lemming” and Java Rob’s “Diseased Yak.” Offers:Given the fine prospects serving with The Brotherhood, another d6 crew has made themselves available for Turn 3, and will join the pirate who offers them the most gold. HARRRRR! die rolls break any ties. Remember, this be a RECRUIT action and is separate from any other one. The owner of the “Maggie,” a d6 ship, has parted with the vessel for the tidy sum of 11g. Noting that “Ravenbeard McNasty’s gold is as good as Davy’s, but his reputation ain’t,” the seller sold the ship to Davy the Cunning. Offers:Quest Dueling Tournament Eight pirates (seven of The Brethren) participated in the dueling tournament. The best duel of the day took place in the semifinals between Pinkbeard and Lazy Eye Quinn, and Pinkbeard went on to win the tourney and the +1 dueling sword. Quarterfinals:Remember to list a mandatory Drunken Debauchery action if you have one for Turn 3. Also note any crew losses or ship damage, as well as accept or decline any trade offers. PM me if ye spot any errors. = = = = = The results: Iron Foot William (31g) Cruising d4 Boarding d4 Raiding d4 Plans: Fishing Village [1] Dueling d4 Trade d4 HARRRRR! d6 Ship "The Wandering Raider of the Seven Seas" d4 -2 Holds: [3g][empty] Crew d4 Next Drunken Debauchery: Turn 7 Turn 2 Actions: 1. Recruit d4 crewmate (1g) 2. Trade foodstuffs (and accept) and aquire the "Maggie" (10g) = Ye were offered and accepted 20g for yer cargo. Yer 10g offer for the “Maggie” was rejected. 3. Minion of Sterling Silvers = Raid on ye olde fishing village using decent {3} plans = Raid 14 (3+1/1+0/3+2/4) vs. Defense 14 (4+4+4+2) = A narrow victory! Both ships took damage. No gold was plundered, but guano amounting to 4g+3g was taken and divided between the two ships. = = = = = Ravenbeard McNasty (30g) Cruising d4 Boarding d4 Raiding d6 Plans: Fishing Village [3], Harbor City [6] Dueling d4 Trade d4 HARRRRR! d4 Ship "Syphlitic Sea Bass" d4 -1 Holds: [6g][2g] Crew d4 Next Drunken Debauchery: Turn 3 Turn 2 Actions: Action 1: Plan Ye Olde Harbor City Raid = An excellent plan has been devised [6] Action 2: Raid Ye Olde Coastal Town using decent {3} plans (Master of Java Rob = Raid Ye Olde Coastal Town) = Raid 26 (3+6/2+1/5+4/5) vs. Defense 12 (4+2+4+2) = A glorious victory! The "Syphlitic Sea Bass" took damage. 23g was plundered, as well as foodstuffs amounting to 6g+2g+1g. The latter goes into the hold of the “Diseased Yak.” Action 3: Trade = Ye’ve been offered 12g for the first cargo and 6g for the second. Do ye accept? Yer 11g offer for the “Maggie” was rejected in favor of Davy the Cunning. Random Event: Eyes a-goggle at all of that plundered wealth, your purser has run off with 5g. Ye can spend an action hunting him down, with an 80% chance of catching him in Turn 3, or ye can wait, but each turn ye wait reduces yer chances of finding him by 20% until the trail goes cold fer good after Turn 6. = = = = = Torstein the Unholy (22g) Cruising d4 Boarding d4 Raiding d6 Dueling d4 Trade d4 HARRRRR! d4 Ship "Ivy Wisp" d4 -1 Holds: [empty][empty] Crew d4 Next Drunken Debauchery: Turn 4 Trade offer accepted: 4g Turn 2 Actions: 1. Cruising for Luxuries (quest) = Found the “Shelly Baker!” But Boarding 7 (3+1+3) vs. Defense 13 (3+6+5) goes poorly, and the “Full Corset” takes damage and a crew loss. The “Shelly Baker” escapes! 2. Trade and offer 10g fer "Maggie" = Yer offer was rejected. 3. Quest: Lost to Lazy Eye Quinn in the quarterfinals of the dueling tourney. Random Event: A fisherman with an old grudge against the captain of the “Shelly Baker” tells you of its typical trade route. Note:
A word about the pace of the game...I wanted to get out of the gate quickly, so Turns 1 & 2 were turned around a bit faster than typical turns. This pace may prove difficult to keep up on my end, but if you have any thoughts on pacing from the player's perspective, sing 'em out here or via PM. Thanks...HARRRRR!
