The 2037 NFL Preseason:

I have 61, I cut K Simmons

Week 2 – At Cleveland – We lose 17-13, no injuries

Week 3 - New England – We win 20-17, no injuries

Week 4 – At Cincinnati – Rough. We lose 13-23, no injuries

Rookie Lookie #2:

3.28 – K Rickey Brotherton, Duke, 61/73; 66/73
4.10 - FB Ashton Kish, Clemson, 39/49, 43/52
4.28 – WR Max Vander Esch, Texas, 23/40; 24/36, CUT
6.28 – CB Bob Hull, Syracuse, 40/40; 45/49
7.28 – OG Lester Dolezal, Arkansas, 16/44, 20/39

No pot growth by the very underrated K Brotherton. Yay Kish! Not a great fall by Vander Esch, but good rise by Hull. The expected drop by Dolezal.

UFAs:

CB Tommy Curry – 29/48; 32/37, CUT
SLB Daniel Higginbotham – 25/49; 29/43
DE Perry Bright – 33/49, 37/51
CB Ron Bownes - 20/45 , 24/39,
RB Alexander Ding – 25/41; 26/33, CUT
WR Cornell Jellison – 35/44, 35/39 special teams stud

Drops by Bownes, Curry, Higginbotham, rise by Bright, drop by Jellison, Bright is one of three 50+ from this draft. Good stuff!

I need to cut 7:

RB Ding
WR Vander Esch
RT Wagner
FS Mattos
CB Curry
WILB Edeson
NT Major

Here’s my starting roster!

The 2037 Carolina Panthers:

A few folks dropped, OG Montano to 48/48, DE McKendrick to 55/55, DE Meraz will start. NT Tae dropped to 56/56. WILB Lenard dropped to 55/55. SS Spencer rose to 63/63, from 60/60, I am starting at RB Kim at 44/44.

Here’s our top rookie:

I know you probably don’t want to see a boring K, the first to head off, but here you go. He’s in the 90s for distance, but just 64 accuracy.

I’m ready for the regular season!!!

The 2037 NFL Season:

Can we get back to the Super Bowl and win? Last year we had the top seed at home and lost to the Saints. That’s our first time losing with the top seed to making it to the Super Bowl.

Week 2 – At Cincinnati – Uh oh for reals. We lost there in preseason by 10. Can we show up this time? Since it’s not preseason, yes, 31-24. Fiste 20 of 34 for 228 and 3:1, scores by Jackosn on 9 for 113, Wellons and Davis. Four picks on the day, a game winning PICK SIX by CB Alston, picks by Spencer, Caiden and Hennessy. FF by Howells rec by CB Cam. 5 KRB by Montano, light KRB day

Week 3 – SF – They did very well last year, but we have them at home. They score…31 on us the road from the WC, but we hang 51! Rush scores by Sanchez and Fist,e who was 19 of 32 for 244 2:0 ad puled in the fourth for Higginbotham who was s4 f 7for 59 and 1:1. Catching that was Jackson 9 for 139 and 2 scores, the other aerial TD grabbed by Sanchez. 2 picks y Hennessey 1 RET for a score. 3 KRB by Montano and Planish. That was my first complete gamin a while.

Week 4 – at Chicago – Another rough game for a winning record NFC team. But their qb retired an they are 0-3. They want to make this a get right game, can we stop them? Yes we can, 27-19. Fiste is 27 of 35 for 240 and 2:0, and a rush score too. Scores by Jackosn and Davis. Pick by Spencer, 3 KRb by Parr and Planish

We are 4-0, and are leading the NFC South over the 3-1 Falcons

Week 14 – At Dallas – We’ll need that two games up since we are in their house today. We win barely 21-20. Fiste is 25 of 32 for 293 and 1:1 hitting Kim for score, fumrec score to give us the win by Julio Baskin. Just one sack, 3 KRB by Fest,a, light blocking day

Week 16 – At Atlanta – This is our last away game of the year…they are 9-5 and comfortably in the WC spot. They will likely show up hard. They beat us 25-17. Week 17 – Pittsburgh – Always a rough match, even at home. We win a low scoring running, defensive AFC North game the way Pittsburgh likes it 13-6. Fiste is 20 of 24, 212 and 1:0, and Jackson has that score. 2 picks by CB Downs, one by Alston. Just one sack, 4 KRB b YFesta, Montano and Garza

The 2037 NFL Playoffs:

Wild Card Weekend:

Since we beat all of the playoff teams in our place or away, save Atlanta, I really only want the Eagles to upend the Cowboys and the Bears to hold serve against the Falcons. I’m not bothered by Seahawks or Commanders at home.

Results:

Neither team lost. The Falcons over Bears 29-28
The Cowboys over the Eagles 21-10
The Commanders won on the road 22-17

We host them next week

Chargers over Chiefs 24-18
Jaguars over Steelers 27-10
Raiders over Patriots

Divisional Champ Weekend:

We host the Commanders. We…win 30-19

Rush score by Fiste who is 22 of 35 for 320 and 3:2, Jackson 14 for 213 and 1 score, others by Pedraza and Montanez. Pick by Spencer, Cam and Alston, 1.5 sacks by DT Quincy, 3 FRB b Montao and Garza.

Also:

The Falcons won on the road against the big bad 26-16

Raiders over Bengals 21-17
Chargers over Jaguars 34-14

The Conference Championship:

We host the only team to beat us, the Falcons. We lost at home last year to the Wild Card Saints, they know us. Who will win today? Out is their stud RB. They have a 0s QB, but two 60s WR, just like Dalton and Legette and Thielen that I inherited. They KNOW us. They show up. We win by just one, 31-30.

Fiste is 21 of 27, 298 and 4:1, Jackson one score, Pedraza two, Davis one. FF by Lenard, rec by CB Cam, just one sack, 3 KRB by Parr.

Also the Chargers also won at home 22-10 over the Raiders.

The 2037 NFL Super Bowl:

Your AFC Champion 11-6 #3 Seed San Diego Chargers

Vs

Your NFC Champion 16-1 #1 Seed Carolina Panthers

This is 5th Super Bowl appearance and we e 2-2, with losses to Ravens and Chiefs, and victories twice over the Bills.

Who will win today? We edge them 30-28 in a good Super Bowl.

Fiste? 18 of 24 for 261, 4:1.
Jackson? 8 of 169 and 2 scores
The other two by WR Davis and TE Zhang.
SS Spencer? Pick
FF bY Tae and Keats; recovered by Spencer and Downs
1 sack bY Breeden
5 KRb by Festa!

Hopefully we can come back next year!

League Awards:

Super Bowl MVP
– QB Harold Fiste

All-Pro 1st Team:

WR Carson Jackson!
WB Tyler Breeden!!

All-Pro 2nd Team:

K Ricky Brotherton!!!

Welcome back Jackson! That’s Breeden’s first All Pro! He was drafted in the same 1st round. Were SS Spencer and Hennessey robbed of All Pros? A rookie Kicker with an All Pro? Good stuff!

Rookie Lookie #3:

3.28 – K Rickey Brotherton, Duke, 61/73; 66/73, 72/72
4.10 - FB Ashton Kish, Clemson, 39/49, 43/52, 45/52
4.28 – WR Max Vander Esch, Texas, 23/40; 24/36, CUT
6.28 – CB Bob Hull, Syracuse, 40/40; 45/49, 45/49
7.28 – OG Lester Dolezal, Arkansas, 16/44, 20/39, 20/39

Not a bad bit of depth with Hull’s rise, good job Brotherton.

UFAs:

CB Tommy Curry – 29/48; 32/37, CUT
SLB Daniel Higginbotham – 25/49; 29/43, 29/43
DE Perry Bright – 33/49, 37/51, 37/51
CB Ron Bownes - 20/45 , 24/39, 24/39
RB Alexander Ding – 25/41; 26/33, CUT
WR Cornell Jellison – 35/44, 35/39, 37/39, special teams stud

Meh. Bright is a lightbulb.

Stats:

Throwing that Ball:

QB Fiste – 395 of 546, 4553, 8th most, 33:10, more picks than usual, 7th most, QBR is 109.6. 5th best, 329 sacks

Not bad, but not amazing.

Running that Ball:

RB Kim – 223 for 989, ypc of 4.43, 4 scores
QB Fiste – 124 for 527, ypc of 4.25, 2 scores
RB Sanchez – 136 for 463, ypc of 3.40, 3 scores

Not great for Kim, 13th most rushing yards, or Sanchez.

Catching that Ball:

WR Carson Jackson – 147 for 1857 yards, led the league, 22 scores led the league
WR Pedraza – 45 for 603, 2 scores
WR Davis – 57 for 580, 5 scores
TE Wellons – 45 for 500, 2 scores

Lighter normal year with Wellons. Pedraza and Davis fine here. Stud year for Jackson

Blocking that Ball:

OG Montano – 46 KRB, 1 pancake, 12 sacks
C Festa – 42 KRB, 2 and 5 sacks allowed
OG Planish – 37 KRB, 2 and 3 sacks allowed
RT Garza – 25, 2 and 4 sacks

Kicking that Ball:

K Brotherton – 37 of 42, long of 54, 42 of 49 PAT.

Yay All Pro, but that’s a lot of missed PAT.

Punting that Ball:

P Allen – 76 punts for net avg of 39.72, lower, 26 in 20, lower too.

Is Allen at the end of his career?

Rushing that Ball:

WLB Breeden – 10 sacks, 6 TFL, 6 blocks, 7 hurries and 14 QBKD, 3 FF
DE Stutts - 7.5 sacks, 2 TFl, 6 blocks, 9 hurries, 14 QBKD
DE Meraz – 6 sacks, 2 tfl, 2 blocks, 3 hurries and 8 QBKD, 2 FF
NT Tae – 4.5 sacks, 3 hurries, 6 QBKD
DE McKendrick – 3 sacks, 4 TFL, 8 blocks, 4 hurries and 6 QBKD
SILB Keats – 135 tackles, 2 sacks, 8 TFL, 3 hurries, 7 QBKD
SLB Howells – 114 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 blocks, 1 QBKD, 3 FF, Fumrec score

Breeden led my team with sacks, and DE Stutts in hurries and they were tied for QB knockdown rate. Down year by Tae, and McKendrick now that he’s not starting.

Covering that Ball:

SS Spencer – 143 tackles, 9 tfl, 1 block and hurry; 6 picks, 1 pick six, 9 pasdef, 44 FF
FS Hennessey – 6 picks, 1 INT RET Score, 9 pasdef, 2 FF
CB Alston – 3 and 15 pasdef
CB Downs – 3 and 5, 2 FF
CB Caiden – 2 and 3

Alston led team in pasdef. Spencer and Hennessy were both LEADING THE LEAGUE IN PICKs!!! How did they not get All Pro? Spencer led my team in FF too.

Team Awards
:

Offensive Player of the Year: WR Carson Jackson – He is back! After a Sophomore slump last year, he led the league in TDs with more than 20 and yards too. He was worth that multi-1sts with a Super Bowl win in year three and two All Pros already.

Defensive Player of the Year: WLB Tyler Breeden - From the same draft and round as Jackson, he notched his 2nd double digit sacks and won his first All Pro. Good stuff Will LB!

Special Teams Player of the Year: CB/PR Joshua Downs – Dude had a PR RET score for us. Good job Downs!!! His PR average was 2nd best in the league among 10 PR people.

Rookie of the Year: K Rickey Brotherton: We’ve had many recent All Pro rookies like Jackson and Alston. This guy just did the same! Welcome to the team rookie!

Heart Award: TE Dillion Zhang - H
e won us a game on a FF that WR/RET/Gunner forced from Jackson FF, recovered it for a score. We won that game! Great!!

Let’s try to win back to back Super Bowls next year!!!

The 2038 NFL Offseason:

Before I head out, I have 53 on my roster, and retiring are TE Montanez and LG Montano. I score an 87.

Tix – We sold just 98.7% of tix, so I drop them a bit

Staff Draft:

Leaving next year are DC Carver and Head Trainer Cabral. Do I want to keep Carver?

DC:

Carver - He’s 90 INT, 60 in motivation, player dev, playcalling, 50 interviews but 40 scouting, 20 youth dev and 0 discipline. True 3-4, 63 years old. I feel like there might be better folks out there. He’s bad in three areas, and one of those is scouting. And 50 interviews isn’t exactly a strength. Other than smarts, his only good scores are down in the 60s. But he’s been with us for 13 years, loads of institutional knowledge. And we just won a Super Bowl.

Which True 3-4s are better?

I am only looking at DCs that are the same or better as his 60 playcalling since that’s my default:

Leyton Vander Esch - Age 52, 90 playcalling, 80 INT and youth, 70 interviews, 60 scouting, bad player dev, motivation and discipline, but those are probably covered by HC. Good at LB. Better at Scouting, playcalling by 30 and interviews.

EJ Speed – Age 42, secondary focus, 60 playcalling, 90 player dev, 80 scouting, 70 mot, 60 INT, 50 youth, 40 interviews, discipline. Same play calling, way better scouting, slightly worse interviews, just two bad stats to Carver’s 3 and Vander Esch too

DeShawn Barbe – age 34, secondary focus – 80 interviews, 70 youth, 60s and 50s everywhere else, one bad stat, 10 development. Same playcalling, stud interviews with 80, but same scouting at 50.

That’ it, stud interviews, scouting, or playcalling? Vander Esch is also better at interviews at 70 and scouting 60. Barbe is the most well-rounded with just player dev weakness and just 50 scouting Vander Esch’s studly playcalling and interviews too but horrible motivation, dev and discipline. I’m really not feeling Speed’s interviews of 40 since that’s how I draft. Barbe there is 80 and Vander Esch is 70. Those are left. Who has the better scouting? 60 to 50, Vander Esch. I’m leaning Vander Esch since he is better at where I need improvement, although if motivation and discipline aren’t covered by HC then that’s not strong. I hire Vander Esch!

Head Trainer:

I can rehire Cabral. But there is a better one out there:

Deron Mayo – NE Head Trainer – age 49, str 100, con 80, int 60

Done!

The Draft Class is Revealed:

I am obviously drafting 1.32, what does it look like? I need to get a stud RB like Taylor again. Also I am about to be getting a huge cap hit with WR Jackson and WLB Breeden in the 4th years, although I can just 5th year option them or let them go, so I cannot afford one in Free Agency.

This is also a one QB draft at the top named Deron Meyer with 8.7 rating and As Scouted. At RB there are two in the 7.s - 7.4 Devon Anderon, Hard to Read and 7.3, very underrated George Hutchings. Just two mid 6s. at TE a 5.8 and two 5.7s, just one 6.0 WR, rough, one 5.4 C, two OGs, and one 8.1 LT and 7.2 RT for Parr and then 5 in the 6s. Not great for Montano though. Also stud 4.3 P Kirk Suzuki since Allen is dropping off at 60/60 and 14th year vet and had a down year last year, 5 6s DE, two 7s DT, 2 lower 6s, if I need to cut Howells, just two OLB in the 6s, and then 6.8 Fitzsimmons can be SLB with Hard to Read, 3 ILB, not needed, one 7.3 CB named Liberman with hard to read, three high 6.s, 6.9 and 6.7 S, again light class.

Tag:
Who can I tag? LT Parr at 50/50 is free, as is CB Alston, I won’t tag, we’ll head to FA!!! Because my cap is about to explode!

2038 Hall of Fame:

I forgot to give you this. Four inductees, WR Jaylen Waddle, QB Mahomes, CB Sauce Gardner from the Jets and CB Akayleb Evans from the Texans.

The 2038 NFL Free Agency:

I have on my roster 39 signed. I have draft of 7, no comp picks. The Colts have tons of Comp picks. I have cap space of 10 mill with 43.41, so 33.3 for signing.

Day 1 –

I have free:

TE Zhang, LT Parr, CB Alston, LT Baskin, NT Quincy, RB Sanchez, SLB Park, RB Mullins, FL Hughes, C Emmer, WLB Di Pietro, FL Davis.

Just as a baseline prior to extending Rookies, what do the starters want:

FL Davis – 49/49, age of 8th year, wants 3 years of 20.17 cap hit of 5.89
LT Parr – 50/50, 7th year, wants 14.37 mil, 3 years, cap hit of 4.14.
CB Alston – 53/53, 5th year, wants 58.35 over four years for cap hit of 10.92

Parr is cheap, Davis is doable. But…

Draft P Kirk Suzuki

Rookies Coming Free:

WR Jackson – 4th year vet, 80/80, cap hit of 14.49 mill, wants 5 year deal of 190.09 mill with a cap hit this year of 36.72. A cap hit raise of 22.23

WLB Breeden – 4th year vet, 78/78, cap hit of 5.42, wants 171.53 mill, 5 year deal at cap hit 26.73 a total of 21.36

I can do one with my cap space of 33.3, but both is 43.59.

I made a mistake last off season, I bet if I had left TE Wellons wait until now, he’d be cheaper like all TEs in the 50s. Who can I extend and save some cap space?

Other Extensions:

QB Fiste – 11 year vet, 73/73, cap hit of 61.87. Just wants two year deal of 118.98 for a cap hit of 60.31. I do it.

SS Spencer – 62/62, age 29, cap hit of 15.09, wants 2 year deal at 24.89, drop in cap to 13.48. Freeing up around 1.5

RT Garza – 60/60, age of 28, cap hit of 18.41, wants 2 year deal of 27.29 to drop to 14.92. Freeing up around 3.5 mill

DT Tae – Cap hit of 16.69, wants two years of 26.990 for drop in cap to 15.32.

If I cut DE McKendrick who dropped to 55/55 I’d save 11.23, done.

DE Stutts – 60/60, age 28 – wants 22.31 for cap hit rise from 4.69 to 11.15. Nope!

All of those extensions are done too. I now have free 62.76. I extend Jackson and Breeden and have left 19.08.

I resign Parr and have free 14.94. I’m thinking about keeping that free post-draft for draft maneuvering like for Fiste and Jackson for the two RB at the top. I also need to replace OG Montano, and I’m not sure that 5 mill would be enough and there are not many good OGs to draft either. Should I resign Davis at 8th year? No thanks, I’ll just draft depth.

I could resign RT Baskin for 1.69 cap hit, WR Hughes for 1.34 cap hit. Both for my free cash.

I skip it.

I head to Day 2!

Day 2 – Any good cheap for 5 mill?

RG Derrick Redd – 64/64, 5 year player, wants 14.32 mill for 4.01 cap hit this year. I c

I offer Redd 5 mill cap hit.

Day 5
– Redd signs for less for his home team. I offer one year deal to 10 year 59/59 vet named Morgan Lucherne, 4.5 mill

Day 10 – He signs

I head to the draft!!!

The 2038 NFL Amateur Draft:

1st Round – At 1.1, the Falcons take QB Meyer…not good. RB Anderson heads out 1.9 to the Dolphins. I could trade up and grab the very underrated 7.3 George Hutchings. At 1.10 is held by the Cardinals, and they want this year’s 1.32, 4.32, and 2039 1st and 3rd. Just one extra 1st and a 3rd seems doable. I grab him. See you tomorrow!

2nd Round
– My staff here like LT Degley, 5.9, hard to read. Degley looks like Parr, the best is DE 6.2As Scouted, Khari Gentile. I like him for here. OG Flores? He’s pretty green. I do Flores

3rd Round - I want to draft P in 3rd round. I grab the ultra stud.

5th Round
– My staff like S Roger Jennings, who is 4.4 and hard to read and top one. The next is As Scouted and better bars, Mahaffey. The very underrated CB Epperson? DE Suazo looks good this far down. But not a position of need. I grab him though, BAP.

6th Round – I need a good WR and two TE. My staff like TE here, Jessie Bergeron who is 4.1 and overrated. TE Izzo the same rating 4.1. I grab him instead.

7th Round – My staff here like S Kelvin Mahaffey, who is 4.3 and As scouted; I take him.

The 2038 Carolina Panthers

1.10 – RB George Hutchings, Delaware, 57/67
2.32 – OG Roy Flores, Northwestern, 28/60
3.32 – P Kirk Suzuki, Mississippi State, 89/96
5.32 - DE Rich Suazo, Florida State, 34/51
6.32 - TE Chuck Izzo, Louisiana State, 27/40
7.32 – SS Kelvin Mahaffey, Louisville, 24/40

Flores raw. Hutchings not. Wowzers Suzuki. Suazo a solid starter or depth there at the back of the 5th.

The 2038 Late NFL Free Agency:

Day 1 – I need cash, with 7.33 cap space, so I cut P Allen to free up 1.82 and RG rental Luchene for 3.05. Now I have free 12.19 mill with 44 on my roster.

I offer these UFAs for three mill and bonuses:

OC Maxwell Galloway, 14/60
LT Myron Gwyn, 17/48
RT Dusty Brodie, 19/43
RB Mercury Stacy, 36/49
TE Darrin Goldsby, 26/44
WR Lee Jensen, 23/41
DT Luther Rose, 34/47
WLB Courtney Eilers, 27/46
SILB Ezra Bailey, 27/43
WR Horace Jefferies, 13/25 – stud KR/PR

I end the day,

Day 2
- RB Stacy and WR Jensen join! Competition for C Galloway, TE Goldsby and OT Gwyn.

Day 3 – WR Jeffries, SILB Bailey and WLB Eilers are ours. Loads of competition for TE Goldsby, they pulled off Gwyn. I massage my offer by another 50k bonus

Day 4
– C Galloway, TE Goldsby and LT Gwyn join

Day 5 - DT Rose and RT Brodie sign

UFAs:

OC Maxwell Galloway, 14/59
LT Myron Gwyn, 17/44
RT Dusty Brodie, 12/40
RB Mercury Stacy, 37/46
TE Darrin Goldsby, 26/44
WR Lee Jensen, 21/36
DT Luther Rose, 35/46
WLB Courtney Eilers, 28/46
SILB Ezra Bailey, 28/39
WR Horace Jefferies, 13/25 – stud KR/PR

No minuses by Eilers, or TE Goldsby, drop by Bailey, Jensen, and a few others

Ready for a little training camp?

The 2038 NFL Preseason:

I have on my roster just 54 and cap space of 1.42. I head to camp.

Week 2 – At LA Chargers – They want a repeat of the Super Bowl cross country. We win 34-21, no injuries

Week 3 – Kansas City – They drafted a stud Qb last year at the 1.1 spot. We win 23-13 No injuries.

Week 4 – At Indianapolis – We win 19-13. No major injuries

Rookie Lookie #2:

1.10 – RB George Hutchings, Delaware, 57/67, 57/60
2.32 – OG Roy Flores, Northwestern, 28/60, 34/62
3.32 – P Kirk Suzuki, Mississippi State, 89/96, 95/95
5.32 - DE Rich Suazo, Florida State, 34/51, 42/54
6.32 - TE Chuck Izzo, Louisiana State, 27/40, 30/38
7.32 – SS Kelvin Mahaffey, Louisville, 24/40, 30/40

Hutchings busted a bit to just 60 even though he was very underrated. Flores rose a bit. Suzuki a stud. Rise by Suazo. Minor fall by TE Izzo.

UFAs:

OC Maxwell Galloway, 14/59, 20/52
LT Myron Gwyn, 17/44, 19/34
RT Dusty Brodie, 12/40, 22/36
RB Mercury Stacy, 37/46, 38/38
TE Darrin Goldsby, 26/44, 29/44
WR Lee Jensen, 21/36, 22/31
DT Luther Rose, 35/46, 41/56
WLB Courtney Eilers, 28/46, 33/45
SILB Ezra Bailey, 28/39, 26/33
WR Horace Jefferies, 13/25, 14/21 – stud KR/PR

Galloway bust, but still fine as a backup. Big bust by Gwyn, Stacy, drop by Brodie, Jensen, HUGE rise by Rose,

NT Tae fell to 50, I cut him and sign 2nd year DT Tyson Jean to his spot. 33/48

I have 54, I cut:

CB Patton

My Starting Squad:

The 2038 Carolina Panthers

There we are! As you can see, Fiste rose to 75/75, FB Kish fell to 40/42 in year 2, Kim is still starting and I refreshed, I’ll check week one to make sure Hutchings is making those carries. Parr fell to 49/49, Flores is starting at OG, DT Jean, pass rusher at DT, CB Hull rose to 53/55 and is starting, CB Cam busted to 48/48 and is nickel, SS Spencer is down to 58/58.

I forgot to see what 59/59 CB Downs wants. It’s 4 years at 49.56, current cap hit of 2.66, rise to 9.75, I have cap space after cutting Tae of 11.1. I agree

Here’s my top rookie!

If we actually use him with the right number of carries, he could be a stud, assuming he plays up to 60/60 but that’s a drop. He’s great at speed, strength, securing the ball, and 50s 60s okay In hole recog, elusive, hands, route running, and catching in traffic and endurance. Not great in blitz pickup, adjusting to the ball or defeating jammers

Here’s my best rising 2nd rounder starting for Montano Roy Flores. He’s green. His run block and pass block are both solid, and I the mid 70s or high 60 as is strength. His scheme is okay, but not the most endurant starter ever. Nice value at the back of the 2nd!!!

Let’s head to the penultimate season of the decade!!!

The NFL 2038 Regular Season:

Week 1 - At Atlanta – We’ll start away at the 1.1 draft pick QB just taken, 55/60 Deron Meyer. This could start being a loss. Check Week 1 to make sure that RB Hutchings is getting majority of carries. We win 21-15. 2 rush scores by RB Tracy, Hutchings was 15 the most with just 39 yards, Fiste was 17 of 29 for 238 no scores or picks, Jackson was 7 for 119. 2 picks each by CB Downs and Hull. Strip sack by Breeden he recovered, light block day.

Week 2 – Indianapolis – The Colts arrive. They were in the last few playoffs. We score little, but beat them 19-10. The blocking was good today, but Hutchings just 8 for 52, and Kim 12 for 60. We gotta stop splitting our carries or leading with Kim. Fiste is 21 fo 29 for 250 even and 1:0 hitting Jackson 10 for 106 and 1 score. Picks by Spencer and Hennessey, 0 sacks, 4 KRB by Festa, Flores and 3 by Planish.

Week 3 – Seattle – We win a shoot out, 31-29, Hutchings 8 for 43, 1 rush score, same as Kim with 26. Fiste is 24 of 29, 146 and 2:0 hitting for scores TE Izzo and Jackson, pic six by Hull for the win, just one sack, 3 Krb by Planish, light blocking day

Week 4 – At Dallas – Oh uh…we won here last year, away, can we do it again now? Yup, by a FG, 23-20. Fiste 29 of 41 for 350 even and 3:1, Wellons 6 for 102 and score, one each by Predaza and Jackson, pick by Hennessy, 1.5 sacks by Howells, 3 KB by Parr, light blocking day.

Week 7 - New England - We’ve got to get this stuff back. We do and steam roll them 37-10. We don’t have as many carries by Hutchings as we need, with 6 for 39 vs Kim’s 16 for 59. Why not? The 2038 NFL Playoffs:

Can we win the rough and rare back to back Super Bowl?

Wild Card Weekend:

I am rooting for the WC Cowboys over the 49ers and Commanders over Tampa Ba . I don’t care about the other.

Results:

Chiefs over Jets 34-21
Pats over Titans 30-16
Dolphins over Ravens 22-21

Just one close match, ALL WCs won, if they can off the Chargers…

49ers over Cowboys 20-9
Packers over Seahawks – 25-24
Bucs over Commanders 40-14

Nasty Bucs! Both teams I wanted out are in.

We host the Bucs.

Divisional Champ Weekend:

Can we show up against them…? Oh yes, we showed up hard and the never did, 36-16.

Hutchings 18 of 104, Fiste is 24 of 33, for 327 and 3:0, 2 scores by Goldsby 1, by Kim, Pick by Hennessey, just two sacks, 3 KRB by Flores.

Also:

49ers shut out Packers 22-0

Pats on the road against Dolphins 35-13
Chargers win 34-14 over Chiefs.

We host the 49ers.

The Conference Championship:

The Niners arrive. Can we send them home losers? We do, in a low scoring 17-13 game. Home field!

2 rush scores by Kim, Fiste is 22 f 27 for 258 and Jackson 9 of 113, pick by Spencer, just one sack, 3 KRB by Parr…weird.

Also the Chargers knocked out New England 38-10 and just nailed them. That sets up a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl! Can we win then too?

The 2038 NFL Super Bowl:

Your AFC Champions 14-3 #1 Seed San Diego Chargers

Vs

Your NFC Champion 15-2 #1 Seed Carolina Panthers

Can we get the ROUGH back to back Super Bowl win against the nasty Chargers? Or will they get revenge from last year’s Super Bowl to win? Let’s find out at the same time…

They get revenge in a CLOSE 30-29.

Rush score by Kim, Fiste is 26 of 38, 2:1, Jackson is 9 for 120 and 1 score the other by Pedraza, no TOs, just one sack, but by Breeden, 6 KRB by Planish,

Rookie Lookie #3:

1.10 – RB George Hutchings, Delaware, 57/67, 57/60, 61/61

7.32 – SS Kelvin Mahaffey, Louisville, 24/40, 30/40 30/40

Hutchings and Flores don’t fall, good job. Neither does Suaza. At 1.9 RB Anderson was 75 so I wish we had traded one more spot up.

UFAs:

OC Maxwell Galloway, 14/59, 20/52, 20/52
LT Myron Gwyn, 17/44, 19/34, 19/34

Rose fell.

Stats:

Throwing that Ball:

QB Fiste – 411 of 539 for 4670, 2nd most, 36::10, the most, 116.2, the best

Yup! Great year by the 11th year vet!!!

Running that Ball:

RB Hutchings – 222 for 1109 – finished 9th most, 5.0 yards ypc, 6 scores
RB Kim – 177 for 635m ypc of 3.59, 3 scores
QB Fiste – 83 for 352, 4.24 ypc, 4 scores

Way to many carries for Kim I am thinking about swapping OCs the offseason to another non-spread offense.

Catching that Ball:

WR Jackson – 126 for 1428, 6th most, 11 scores, 2nd most
WR Pedraza - 78 for 1228, 13th most, 7 scores, strong year!
TE Wellons – 63 for 618, 8 scores
WR Jellison – 54 for 553, 3 scores

Blocking that Ball:

C Festa – 55 KRB, 3 pancakes, 6 sacks
OT Garza – 36 KRB, 2 sacks
OG Planish – 36, 2 and 3 sacks
OG Flores – 25 and 1 and 7 sacks

Returning that Ball:

WR/KR Jackson – 1 KR RET TD
CB/PR Downs – 1 PR RET TD

Two people with returns!!!

Punting that Ball:

P Suzuki – 66 punts for net of 43.98, 37 in 20!

That net average is nasty good and 2nd best in league and more than 50% in 20? Nasty good too!

Kicking that Ball:

K Brotherton – 35 of 44, long of 54, 52 of 57 PAT, long of 50 4 times, 2nd most in the league.

Sure I’d like to get those PAT numbers up, but longs are great here

Rushing that Ball:

WLB Breeden – 8.5 sacks, 5 TFL, 1 block, 10 hurrie sand 9 QBKD, 2 FF
DE Stutts – 6.5 sacks, 3 blocks, 4 hurries, 8 QBKD
DE Meraz – 5 sacks, 2 tfl, 6 blocks, 12 hurries, 5 QBKD<
DE Petty – 4 sacks, 1 tlf, 4 blocks, 9 QBKD
SLB Howells – 117 tackles, 3.5 sacks 4 TFL, 7 QBKD, 2 FF
DT Rose – 3.5 sacks, 1 tfl, 1 block, 4 QBKD
SILB Keats – 116 tackles, 3 sacks, 12 TFL, 1 block, 4 hurries and 5 QBKD, 2 FF

Breeden led in sacks, Meraz in hurries and blocks, Breeden and Petty in QBKD, Keats in TFL, Keats was 2nd in the league for TFL.! 2 people in the league had 20+ sacks.

Covering that Ball:

FS Hennessy – 8 pick, 2nd in league, 1 pick six, 5 pasdef
CB Hull – 4 picks, 9 pasdef
CB Downs – 3 and 19, 2 FF
CB Cam – 3 and 5 pasdef 2 FF
SS Spencer – 143 tackles, 6 TFL, 1 block, 1 pick and 5 pasdef

Downs led team in pasdef.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: WR Neal Pedraza
- Loads of great choices! Four won All Pro. This is the first two player 1k receiving year in a while, and Pedraza’s first 1k season in 6 years as a pro. His 1228 yards were 13th in the league as the team’s 2nd player. Great stuff Neal!!!

Defensive Player of the Year: FS Edwin Hennessy
– He has led our team in picks each of the three past years. Nasty stuff! He has huge pick numbers, but All Pros go to SS not FS, when they give two, and the lack of tackles, just brings them down in the awards committee. I have never had an All Pro award with an FS in this dynasty, from Holland to Hennessey despite great stats.

Special Teams Player of the Year: P Kirk Suzuki
– Sure, Kirk is a rookie and had two great RET folks, but he was 2nd in net average and more than 50% In the 20! Great stuff Kirk!

Rookie of the Year: RB George Hutching
s – Our first 1k rushing game in years, and in many games tied or Kim had more carries and cut in, still a Top 10 rushing yard season!!!

Heart Award: TE Darrin Goldsby
– Rookie Free Agent, led team with 21 special teams tackles, and was good for catching too at 31 grabs for 300+ yards and FIVE scores! Nasty stuff Darrin!

Can we get back to winning the Super Bowl next year and reach it a 7th time?

The 2039 NFL Offseason:

Before I end the season, I have 53 on my roster. The only two older ones are Fiste 11th year and LS Bryan 10th year. 9th year is just Garza and Spencer. They all come back!

Dallas finishes their move to Fort Lauderdale. I score 72.

2039 NFL Hall of Fame:

We get another in!

WR Xavier Legette
– Four All Pros, 2 rings, Stats: 983 for 13217 yards, 100 TDs even. 81% vote Welcome!!!

Also making it are C Cyrell Humphrey, good news for Festa that they can. Although he had 7 All Pros.

Tix – I dropped TIX price by a few bucks last year after we didn’t’ sell out, and we sold less, just 86.6. I drop them massively.

Staff Draft:

Do I want to keep spread offense OC Keion Zeidan since I only have two WRs and not enough carries too many splits with Kim. Should I try balanced? I don’t want to under-emphasize passing of Fiste to Jackson or Pedraza. So no to smashmouth. I think I did Air Coryell or Erhart=Perkins. in between and got good results.

OC:

Here is Zeidan: 10 player dev, 40 youth and motivation, 70s elsewhere from playcalling to interviews and scouting to INT. That’s why I hired him, very strong at everything save growth and you and motivation. Age 60, QB focus.

Here are the ones free. All of these are Balanced. Since his playcalling is 70, I’m looking at those.

Javonte Williams – Age 38, RB, 90 interview, 70 playcalling, 60 scouting, discipline, youth, 50 dev, just two weak in youth 10, and INT 30

Jason Myers – WR, age 47, 80 interviews, 70 playcalling, dis, play dev, 60 INT, 50 scouting and youth, one bad mot 20.

Nick Chubb – JAX AC – age 43 RB – just 60 playcalling, no weaknesses. 80 youth and INT, 70 player dev and mot, 60 scouting and interviews, 50 dis.

Who do I like? The well rounded but just 60 playcalling Chubb, and 60 each in scouting and interviews?? The amazing interviews of Myers and but just 50 scouting, the studly interviews of 90 with Williams, but two weaknesses and one is smarts. I prefer the interviews and scouting of Wiliams over Myers. Williams or the well-rounded Chubb? Williams is better than Chubb at playcalling, 10, same scouting, interviews of 20. But everything else is Chubb’s. I do Chubb. Let’s se what happens

The Draft Revealed:

We pick 1.31, but not the 1st or 3rd. I have two comp picks in the 3rd. This is also a one QB draft with 8.3 As Scouted, Lee Hanson. I still need an LT for Parr, any free? Just one, 6.7 as scouted Jumbo Wilson. 6 RTs. No 6s in C or OG. 5 6s RB, one stud 5.4 FB named Davis Blake to replace my 2nd year bust. The top TE is 5.7 and not invited to the combine, overrated, one stud 7.1 WR, one 6.1 Light…just two Des, three 7s Dt and two low 6s, three sixes ILB, two OLBs, I still need FSs and nickelback… NO safety higher than 5.7, just three low 6s CB.

Tag: I have coming free LS Bryan, DE Stutts 56/56 who wanted too much, and then ILB Lenard that busted to 55/55. I don’t tag them. Also free are DE Petty, and Mateo good rushing rotation

I head to FA!

The 2039 NFL Free Agency:

I have on my roster just 42, and cap free of 27.80. 18 for late FA.

Day 1 –

Here is what those free want to resign, just for the record:

LS Bryan – 1 year, 1.83
DE Stutts – 9th year, 2 years, 9.25 cap hit of 4.3, reasonable
DE Petty – 44/44, 5th year, pass rush specialist, wants 8.45 for 2 years at 3.82
WILB Lenard – 7th year vet, 55/55, 3 years for 12.31, cap hit of 3.58 reasonable
FS Hennessy – He wants 7.66 mill for 2 years, cap hit of 3.49.
CB Cam – 8th year, 48/48 – wants 15.5 for three years, cap hit of 4.58
DT Jean – 3rd year – 43/48, pass rushing, wants 2 years , 6.6 for cap hit of 2.93.

Not bad

Here’s my rookies coming free:

SILB Keats – 79/79, 4th year, cap hit of 2.77, wants 132.22 over 5 years for cap hit this year of 25.50.. He is the 2nd best ILB in the league, but SILB is less important than WLB and SLB in 3-4. Has stats in three years of starting are: 294 solo tackles, 94 assist, 8.5 sacks, 29 TFl, 1 block, 10 hurries 19 QKDB, 1 pick, 10 pasdef, 4 FF, 2 rec for scores. Not bad stuff, but do I want a 25 mill cap hit in my SILB spot? In year one? I could let him go and see if he wants to sign for less. The 3rd best ILB is 20.45 mil so that’s not wrong. I could just cap him and then use him as a proxy. Or I could draft a replacement. Or I could see if he wants less like Stutts. If not I could sign him then. This is a cap hit rise of more than 22 mill.

Also free rookies:

DE Meraz – 50/50 – cap hit of Wants 31.36 for 4 years, cap hit rise from 2.07 to 6.15

QB Higginbotham – Wants 3 years at 19.56 , cap hit rise from 1.91 to 5.41. I offer him in a trade, what do folks want? Arizona offers my 3.31 back, and my 5th for their comp 6th. I do it.

I have these coming free this year:

QB Fiste – Cap hit 65.19, Wants two year extension to increase to 70.79 and 121.55 cash. Rough. I cannot lose 5 mill of 18 free. I’ll let him go and resign in Day one.

RT Garza – 10th year, 62/62, cap hit of 14.85 wants 2 mill of 25.80 raising to 15.35

SS Spencer – 10th year, 58/58 cap hit of 13.65, wants two year deal of 29.71, a drop to 12.11

LG Planish – 9th year, 69/69, wants 2 years at 23.31 mills, a cap hit drop from 14.86 to 13.77.

SLB Howells – 65/65, 9th year, cap hit of 21.96 wants 2 years for 29.36 to drop to 18.19.

FL Pedraza – 52/52, 7th year, cap hit of 7.8, wants 3 years massive rise to 55.11 to cap hit of 17.33 nope

I extend Garza, Planish, Howells, Spener and resign LS Bryan and WILB Lenard. That leaves me cap of 27.94. Should I resign Hennessey or Petty? I have on my roster now 43. Would there be a better FS Than Hennessey for around 3.5 mill cap hit? I’m still waiting on a better than 43/43 FS. I have free 18 mill, I could grab some good one year FAs that are older and then keep cap free next year for Fiste/Keats. Or just extend Fiste and keep free 13 mill for FAs. I don’t wanna risk not being able to sign Fiste for cap, but also be cap appropriate. I extend DT Jean, but not Hennessey, I want to see if there are better for his cost. I have free 15 mill for FA

Day 2 – Let’s see who’s free!

FS:

Any cheap or am I offering Hennessey?

FS Octavio Robertson – 56/56, age 30, wants just 13.38, three years, cap hit of 3.9. The best FS out there.
FS Lewis Hershberger – 54/54, 5th year vet, wants 3 years of 13.79 for cap hit of 3.89.

I like Lewis loads, since he’s young. I offer him 4.5 mill cap hit

WR:

Should I bring in a replacement now WR for Pedraza and cut him? That would leave me 10.5 mill, or 5 if I wanna resign Fiste

WR Alvin Drury – 59/59 – age 28, wants 33.83 over 4 years cap hit of 6.500. Cheap. Younger, ideally a 6th year vet would be younger. I could offer him 7 mill and 3.5 left for extending Fiste in 2nd FA and be at around 8.5 mill.

WR Marquis Gillis – 55/55, year 6, age 27, wants 2 years at 14.17, cap hit of 6.33.

I prefer that Drury wants a longer term deal, but Gillis is cheaper cap hit, but still likely 7 mill offer.

I could offer Drury 7 mill cap hit, and then cut Pedraza for 5.99 free, so mostly pay for it, and 59/59 is better than 52/52.

CB:

Any good cheap FAs for nickelback for CB Cam? Or I could draft le Alton, Downs and Hull the last few years.

CB Conrad Doles - 6th year vet, 54/54, age 28, wants 3 years of 16.8 mill, so a cap hit this year of 4.85.

I could offer 5.5, and if he signs I’d have space to extend Fiste. Or I could just ignore and then try to draft nickel, just like the three mentioned above. He’s not good in picks, just 36. I offer him.

Will we sign Hershberger and Doles?

Day 10
– It looks like I made an offer to Drury. He accepted, I cut Pedraza. He comes in at 61/61, much better than we thought!!!

Day 13
– They sign! I have cap space of 14.15 mill. See you at the draft!!!

The 2039 NFL Amateur Draft:

I have open both 2 backup QB slots, starter FB since Kish fell, backup OG, starter LT for Parr, starter DE for Stutts or backup, stud DT since Rose dropped to 51/51, backup LB, backup CB, BAP since I don’t have a 1st round.

2nd Round – At the 1.31, FB 5.4 David Blake is undrafted. But this is probably too high for FB. My staff like FS Jude Helms, who is 5.0 and overrated, but looks good for here too.

I got a trade offer from the Chiefs for this pick. They’re offering their 3.21 and 2040 3rd and 2041 7th. Since this is my top draft spot, I wanna see who is free.

The top ones left are 6.7 ILB Renaldo McKibben who is very overrated and 6.2 hard to read ILB McMorris. McMorris is a stud, this is where I got SILB Keats. I can move him to WILB for Lenard or trade Keats.

3rd Round – Will Blake be on the board by 3.31? I doubt it, he’s a stud, in order to trade for 3.3 with Buffalo we need to offer our 3.31 and future 3rd. Done and drafted.

The 3.34 arrives. Who do I like? Is there a starter quality LT there? A good starter DE for Stutts? DT?

My staff here like OG Xavier Salsman who is 4.8 and very overrated.

DE Jude Shaaf, 5.9, underrated is left. He is the best on the board until 5.3. DT? The tops are all overrated.

QB Nolan Threatt is 5.8 and very underrated, I do need a backup. The next best is 5.4. He’s weak at accuracy, securing the ball and 2 minutes, but okay at everything else. Since he’s very underrated, I do it.

The 3.37 is here! My staff now like OG Winston Moreno, who is 4.8 and overrated. Schaaf still on the board but he’s not much of a pass rush specialist, I grab him.

4th Round
– The 4.31 is here! My staff still like OG, here Elliot Bhardwaj. He is 4.6 but overrated. What about CB? The best left is CB Sebastien Peppers with underrated at 4.7. Not great bars though. CB Corson at 4.6 also underrated strong at picks. DT Gabriel Kosowski is a pass rushing specialist DT< I grab him.

5th Round
– We traded 5.31 but have 5.40. My staff still like OG here but OG Griffin Ricci who is 4.6 and very overrated. No thanks. Is Corson on the board? Yes, I grab him.

6th Round
– Who do my staff like here? OG Christopher Ekuban, who is 4.5 and…underrated. I grab him,

7th Round
– My staff here like OLB Kenny Howard, 4.5, overrated. I like LB here, sure, but there is a very underrated 4.5 LB from WVU named Emmett Ferrier Itake instead.

The 2039 Carolina Panthers Draft:

2.31 –ILB Irving McMorris, Duke – 51/71
3.3 – FB Davis Blake, Wisconsin – 54/71
3.34 – QB Nolan Threatt, Notre Dame - 32/45
3.37 – DE Jude Schaaf, Utah - 36/48
4.31 – DT Gabriel Kosowski, Texas Tech – 31/39,
5.40- CB Hassan Corson, Michigan – 31/32;
6.39 – OG Christopher Ekuban, Oklahoma – 19/39
7.31 – SLB Emmett Ferrier, WVU - 25/39

McMorris great for there, but Hard to Read means he’s a gamble… but I think that’s worth it. Blake looks nasty, but is, again, Hard to Read. Very underrated Threatt and underrated Schaaf hopefully they’ll grow. Nobody deep with 50+ stuff just my top two in the 71 spot.

The 2039 NFL Preseason:

I have on my roster 59 at playbook deadline with the new balanced schema, hopefully our new RB will do well. Also a studly FB for the blocking! I cut Lenard and move to WiLB.

Week 1 – At Las Vegas – We are in the Hall of Fame match, we lose 13-20. No injuries

Week 3 – Jacksonville – We win 16-10. Low scorer. O injuries.

Week 4 – Tennessee – We win 20-10. No injuries

Rookie Lookie #2:

2.31 – ILB Irving McMorris, Duke – 51/71, 54/68
3.3 – FB Davis Blake, Wisconsin – 54/71, 59/65
3.34 – QB Nolan Threatt, Notre Dame - 32/45, 31/38
3.37 – DE Jude Schaaf, Utah - 36/48, 45/55
4.31 – DT Gabriel Kosowski, Texas Tech – 31/39, 31/37
5.40- CB Hassan Corson, Michigan – 31/32; 36/39
6.39 – OG Christopher Ekuban, Oklahoma – 19/39, 25/45
7.31 – SLB Emmett Ferrier, WVU - 25/39, 32/35

McMorris fell 3 pot, Blake 6, both hard to read, you get it, fall by very underrated Threatt, but large rise by Schaaf. Slight fall by Kosowski, rise by underrated Corson, rise by Ekuban, ouch by underrated Ferrier,

UFAs:

CB Arturo Dubuisson – 23/46, 25/38
OG JC Hopkins – 8/50, 12/43
QB Randall Winsor – 27/43, 31/46
RB Kenneth Ralston – 36/45, 35/42
FL Morris Sluder – 28/39, 27/37

Ouch by Arturo, Hopkins, rise by Winsor! Slight tumble by Ralston and Sluder

I need to cut 5:

WR Jensen
RG Dolezal
CB Bownes
TE Izzo
RB Ralston

Here’s my starters!!!

The 2039 Carolina Panther Starters:

There we go! Fiste dropped to 70/70 by 5, RB Hutchings rose to 66/66, TE Wellons to 57/57, Drury is 60/60, RT Garza dropped to 51/51, LT Parr to 42/42. Planish to 64/64, DE Suazo starting, along with Meraz, and DT Jean. SLB Howells dropped to 60/60, McMorris starting in WILB, CB Doles dropped to 47/47 and is nickel, SS Spencer down to 56/56. Jellison is slot, all of my stud special teamers and good backups are there.

Here's McMorris:

Here’s my top pick near the back of the 2nd. He’s currently 54/68. Stud in run and diagm special teams and okay at zone, physical, pass rush and bad at picks and stringent and man to man. Strong where taken!

Let’s turn to my trade to the top of the 3rd for FB.

A strong inside option with good strength, blitz pickup, route, run block and securing the ball. He’s okay in adjusting to the ball, hands, catch in traffic, pass block and bad at speed, hole recon,

Ready for the final season of the decade?

The 2039 NFL Regular Season:

Week 1 – At New Orleans – Uh oh… we beat them 20-13. Fiste is 24 of 34 for 275 and 2:0, Jackson is 10 for 137 1 score the other Hutchings. FF by Downs, rec by CB Doles, zero sacks, light blocking day.

Week 2 – Denver – We thump them 44-10. We rushed for 5 TDs, 2 by Kim, 1 by Hutchings, Fiste and Jackson, Fiste is 28 of 35 for 270 and 0:0. Pick by Caiden, and PICK SIX by DE Bright!!! That would be something to see, 2 sacks by Doles, 7 KRB by Festa, 3 by Flores

Week 3 - Green Bay – Uh oh… They really push us and Fiste around, but we win 20-17. Fiste is 29of 40 for 290 and2:…3 picks. Nasty. Jackson and Drury each with 9 catches and 90ish yards, Drury a score and Wellons. Pick by Howells, just one sack, 4 KRB by Parr…weird, 3 by Flores

Week 4 – San Francisco – really uh oh. Win today and we’ll have the tiebreaker. We lose 23-22, uh oh. RB Hutchings is 12 of 128 and rush core by Kim, Fiste is 20 of 32 for 259 and 1:0, and connected with Wellons 5 for 101 and Jackson score. FF by Howells and Breeden, rec by Spencer and Downs. 1.5 sacks by Rose, 5 KRB by Festa, 4 by Planish

We are 3-1 and lost to the 49ers. Atlanta 4-0 in front, and 5 other 3-1 teams in the NFC right now

Week 5 – At LA Rams – We thump ‘em 40-10. Hutchings a rush score, Fiste 20 of 25 for 3:1, 312 yards, Jellison is 4 for 119 and 1 score, Drury 7 for 110 and another, the last by Wellons. Pick by FS Mahaffey, FF bY Suazo, rec by DT Rose, 2 sacks by Meraz, 4 KRB By Festa and Planish

Week 6 - At Seattle – Another cross country, can we show up like last week? Nope we don’t show up like last week, but at least we win, 28-23. Hutchings is 16 of 91 for 1 score another rushing by Kim, Fiste is 21 of 31 for 246 and 2:0, Drury both scores. Pick by rookie WILB McMorris, 2 sacks by Breeden, 4 KRB by Festa,

Week 7 – At Atlanta – They are 5-0 after trading for the top pick last year and then grabbing the stud QB. Just like us with Fiste, they were one game away from WC last year. This could be a tough assignment moving forward. We lose and don’t even show up, 10-27. Fiste is 24 of 37 for 242 and 1:3. Ouch. Score bY Jellison, no TO, 1.5 sacks by Suazo. 3 KRB by Planish, light day. Are they going to own us like the Saints for years and win the division?

Week 8 – New Orleans – This is NOT the get right game opponent I’d choose but at least it’s at home. We win comfortable 24-13. Hutchings a rush score Fiste is 20 of 28 for 273 and 2:1, Jackosn 11 for 130 and both scores, no TOs, 2 sacks by Breeden, but light sack day. Seven KRB by Festa, 5 by Flores,

We are 6-2, with losses to Atlanta and SF. Atlanta lost and are 6-1, Phily is 6-1, Green Bay 6-2, we beat them, SF 6-2 too,

Stats:

Fiste – 193 of 268, 2022, 4th most, 13:8, not great.
RB Hutchings – 99 for 485, 5; Kim is 79 for 409.
Jackson – 783, 2nd most,
7 sacks by Breeden, 2.5 off leader, all above him are DEs. 5.5 by Suazo
C Festa has 32 KRB and is leading the league by 4, but 9 over Cs.

Obviously, moving from spread to balanced has dropped Fiste’s stats, we’ve got to get Hutchings’ carries up. Jackson still gonna Jackson.

Week 9 – At 6-1 Baltimore – Rough against team that’s always tough and also playoff perennial. We win 25-23. Ugly win, but I’ll take it. Rush score by Hutchings, Fiste is an efficient 22 of 26, but for just 179, no scores or TOs. Pick SIX by Hull, Safety to give us the win, 2 sacks by Suazo, 3 KR B by Plainsh and Parr.

Week 10 – Arizona – 1-7 – We have Tampa Bay next week, trap game? We thump them 44-7, but…Fiste si questionable for 5 weeks. Week 11 – BYE BYE BYE

Week 12 – At 6-4 Tampa Bay – We…almost…win, 32-34. In subbing for Fiste, Threatt is 34 of 46, 404 and 2:1. Week 14 – At 8-4 Washington – Rough for Fiste, let alone Threatt. We win 27-21. Hutchings is 17 for 115, rush score by FB Blake, Thrett is 30 of 39 for 372 and 3:0, Jackson is 12 for 153 and score, Drury 89 for 108 score, and the other TD by TE Eades. N oTOS, just two sacks, six KRB by Festa, 3 by Planish and FB Blake,

Week 15 – At 6-7 Las Vegas – Can Threatt win this week too? Yeah 24-10. 2 rushes bY Hutchings, Threatt is 19 of 30 for 264 and 1;0, Drury four for 102, score by Hutchings, pick by Carson, FF bY Breeden rec by Hull, just one sack, 4 KRB by Festa, 3 by Planish

Week 16 – 8-6 Tampa Bay – We win 35-20. Rush score by Hutchings, Threatt is 29 of 38 for 388 and 2:2, not great ratio, Jackson is 15 for 210 and both scores, strip sack and rec SCORE by Meraz, just two sacks, 4 KRB by Planish and Flores

ILB Keats questionable

Week 17 – At 10-5 LA Chargers – Uh oh, Super Bowl rematch but with Threatt as QB. They knock us out of AFC South competition with the Falcons. 31-23. Threatt is 37 of 46 for 426 and 2:1, scores by Drury on 114 yards and Jackson on 102. No To,, 1.5 sacks by Breeden and Jaen, 4 KRB by Festa, light elsewhere

We have lost the NFC South officially: but we clinched a WC

RB Kim is questionable, Fiste probable and will start.

Week 18 – 15-1 Atlanta – Uh ohh… we show up and win a shoot out 33-31. Fiste is 23 of 28 for 286 and 3:1, scores by Drury, Wellons and RB Stacy. Pick six by Hull for the win, just two sacks, 4 KRB by Flores, 3 by Parr, 5 by Planish

The 2039 NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons – 15-2, Winner, #1 seed
Carolina Panthers – 13-4, #1 WC
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 8-9
New Orleans Saints – 3-14

Ready for another WC run like the years in the abyss of the Saints?

The 2039 NFL Playoffs:

We’ve never made it deep as a WC.

Wild Card Weekend:

We are at 11-6 Green Bay in winter. We win, but Howells is doubtful. 20-18.

Fiste is 22 of 34 for 323 and 1:1, and a rush score, Jackson 8 for 108; Drury 5 for 103, score by FB Blake. FF by Spencer rec by Doles, just one sack, 3 KRB by Festa

Also:

Ravens over Colts – 23-13
Chargers over Patriots – 38-28
Jets over Chiefs – 38-23

All 10 point wins or more

Commanders on the road over 49ers 34-27
Eagles over Vikings 31-11.

The Commanders were a lower seeded WC, so we get Philly next.

Divisional Champ Weekend:

We…win 38-21!

Hutchings 15 for 113, 1 score, another by Jellison on a reverse, Fiste is 21 of 29 for 282 and 3:0. Drury is 5 for 146 and 1 score the other two’re by Jackosn and Wellons, picks by McMorris and Hershberger, FF by Breeden recovered by Higgenbotham, FOUR sacks by Suazo, 2 by Breeden and Meraz. 4 KRB by Garza

Unfortunately, the Commanders couldn’t also win on the road and Atlanta beat them 41-9. Ouch. That sets up an all NFC South Conference Championship

Also:

Jets over Texans 41-34 on the road
Ravens over Chargers 30-28

So if we win the next game, we won’t be trying a third Super Bowl v the Chargers

The Conference Championship:

This is our first time even making it this far as a Wild Card. And I’ve never made it to eh Super Bowl in our 6 appearances not as 1 seed. Just once in 7 times we didn’t make in out of weekend 2. I am rooting for us and on the road too the Jets, since we lost to the Ravens in the Super Bowl once.

Ready?

They KNOW us rough, and won at their place earlier. We win, 20-15 low scoring but OG Planish is out for the Super Bowl. Fiste is 23 of 31 for 315 and 2:0. Drury I s 8 for 122 and a score, the other by Jackson. Pick by Hull, just 2 sacks, light KRB day

But…the Ravens defeat the Jets 35-28.

That sets up….

The 2039 NFL Super Bowl:

Your AFC Champion #2 Seed 13-4 Baltimore Ravens

Vs

Your NFC Champion #5 Seed 13-4 Carolina Panthers

We have the same schedule despite our massively different seeds. Can we win the final Super Bowl of the 30s? Can we revenge our Bowl loss to the Ravens? Can we win our first Super Bowl as a WC? Will we win our 4th Super Bowl and get back to a winning 4-3 record? Let’s find out………NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

We….BLOW THEM OUT 39-3.
Stats?

Fiste – 17 of 24, 146, 1:0 pulled for Threatt in 4th.
Jackson an even 10 for 100, the score
Pick…SIX By CB Doles; pick by Downs
TWO FUmrec scores by Hutchings, who on special teams was FF by S Johnosn and another by DE Shcaaf, an FF by Breeden
3 sacks on the day
5 KRB By Festa, no one else more than 1

Nice! We’ve made it to three SBs in a row, and won two. Can we get back next year and win the rare Back to Back? We earned that Super Bowl against great teams the entire time, from Green Bay in winter, to the #1 seed Atlanta with just two losses, and the Super Bowl winning heavyweights Eagles, and the Ravens.

Hull the only multi-pick player. Down year here all up and down the block.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: OG Butch Planis
h – Dude just won his first pro bowl for us and himself too! Was 3rd in OGs at KRB. He did it with a run blocking of just 62 and at the age of 31. Good job WV State alumni! Tons of great options or Drury.

Defensive Player of the Year: WLB Tucker Breede
n - This is his 2nd All Pro in five years, his third double digit sack season, and he also led my team in sacks, forced fumbles, and hurries and QB knockdowns too. Great year Tucker!!!

The 2040 NFL Offseason:

I end the season and no one retires. Our eval is 79.

The 2040 Hall of Fame
:

Two LBs, OLB Jordan Mcgee and Jared Verse, RB Norbert Rector and OG Mario Friedlander.

Tix – We sold out and I raise again

Staff Draft:

I extend HC Joe Brady and AC Harvey Gillispia.

Draft Revealed:

There is one QB at 7.8 named Mario Miller who is As Scouted. There is a 7.4 RB named Teddy Kinney, and then just three 6.s, light, two 5s FB, 5.8 TE named Winston Consuelo at hard to read, looks good bars, 6 WRs in the 6s, 6.1 OC, 6.1 OG, just three 6s OT, light, and we need a Parr replacement still. Maybe RT too since he’s 51/51 for Garza. Stud 7.3 DE, two 6s, three 6s DT, n o6s ILB< OLB a few, and 7.9 Vince Adderly is the best player in the draft, and very underrated…two 7s in CB, 4 6s, 3 6s S.

This year we are picking 1.32.

Tag: Tag here! Do I want to tag Keats? Cap hit of 29.9. No thanks, I also have coming free LS Bryan, RB Kim at 47/47, and CB Caiden. And De Meraz too.

We’ll see you at FA!!!

The 2040 NFL Free Agency:

I have on my roster 44 and 11.34 left on my salary cap.

Day 1 – I need to free up cash,

Resigns:

LS Bryan – wants 1.87 mill
RB Kim – 3 years, 13.99, cap hit of 4.09. Reasonable.
DE Meraz – 49/49, well rounded, wants 18.29 for 3 years, cap hit of 5.1
WILB Keats – 77/77, 148 mill, 4 years, cap hit of 28.22

Rookies that Want Extended:

K Brotherton – 71/71, cap hit of 2.12 and 18.38 3 years for cap hit rise to 5.27

CB Hull – 51/51 – cap hit of 1.92, wants 4 years 45,94 mill, cap hit rise to 8.75, nope!

Extensions to free up key space so:

QB Fiste – Cap hit of 66.44, wants 2 year deal of 56.51 to drop to 44.88 done

TE Wellons – 57/57, cap hit of 19.05, wants 3 years at 38.75, cap hit drop to 11.53. I hold off

C Festa – 62/62 – cap hit of 16.04, wants 2 years at 24.60 for cap hit drop to 12.73, done

LG Planish – Cap hit of 12.67, wants two years at 23.59, rise a bit to 12.95. Coming off an All Pro? Makes sense, done.

SS Kody Spencer – 56/56, cap hit of 11.42, wants two year extension of 25.12 to rise to 13.78, after he fell? I think I could cut him and resign for cheaper. With all of his All Pros, that feels reasonable on the 2ndary market. I resign.

RT Garza – 52/52, cap hit of 13.95, wants two year extension to drop that to 11.76. That’s too much. I’ll cut and resign and save 11.37

SLB Howells – 60/60 cap hit of 15.84, wants 30.28, 2 years, cap hit rise to 16.79. At 60/60 that’s probably feasible if I cut him. Done.

Dt Rose – cap hit of 1.39, 52/52, run stopping specialist, wants 12.95 for 3 years 3.5 mill, nope.

I am not offering a new deal to Parr.

I am extending K Brotherton but not Hull. I am resigning LS Byran, I have cap space now after rookies and Bryan and cutting Garza of 39.63, enough for Keats, but not by much. I would have free 11.4. so I don’t do it.

Day 2 – What does Garza want?

OT:

RT Garza –11th year vet, 2 year deal, 9.33, 4.41 cap hit. Totally reasonable.

I have free cap space of 29 mill, enough for a better RT and LT, in a not great draft. I could sign Garza and then also have 24 mill for LT. Any better RT/LT I could bring in cheaper? Next year is Hutchings, so a one or two year temp option might be better to leave cap space, or cheaper stuff I can cut. Since this year is bad for OT, it seems like FA needs to be our route.

Only 10+ year lower Garza stuff are cheap.

RT Kirk Davis – 6th year vet , age 29, 61/61, wants 4 years at 98.73 – cap hit of 18.76, pass block specialist, run block of 46

RT Nicolas Wang – 61/61 - 8th year vet, also 29 years old, wants 53.990 for 15.31, more well rounded with run block of 62, pass 75, str 61

Wang is 16 mil cap hit after offer and with an older body, sure, but doable.

There no budget LTs. Or even normal size young ones. I offer Wang 16 mill cap hit.

Any other things I like with my 13 mill? I could use a budget mind?

Nickelback/CB:

How about a cheap nickel? Doles dropped to 47/47. I cut him and free up 4.88 to chase his replacement

I love…

CB Arnold Neblett – 6th year veteran, age 25 so younger, 59/59, wants 3 years at 16.11 for cap hit of 4.64. I raise to 5.31 mill.

That’s me offering 21.31. I have free another 13 mill after cutting Doles. Should l hold off cap space for Hutchings?

There is a stud and younger LS out there named Andy Walsh with Long snapping of 92. I offer him 2 years of 4.85 for cap hit of 2.34. I have now offered around 25 mill, and have 11 mill left

Anyone else?

My two Des are 55/55 Schaaf who is better at run stopping than pass rushing and Suazo, 53/53, pass rush specialist. Could I sign one for cheap? Or a stud starter NT for Jean?

Do I want an older rental until I draft a replacement or a cheap starter or pricey starter?

At DT, Jean is pass rush of 77, str 59 and then nothing else, and Rose is run def, I could invest in just one, like Tae before he fell.

There is a cheap, older DT named Pete Halapin, 11th year, 71/71, wants two years at 9.89, cap hit of 4.63, three All Pros. He has run of 84, pass 63, and str 84, so Jean a bit better in rushing. He is the cheapest pass rush of his ability and would fall fast, but is cheap. And just a two year deal. We are lighter in DT/DE this year, normally a str of the draft.

I make Halapin a 5.5 mill offer. That’s it

I have offered 4. Will they sign?

Day 4
– Halapin accepts! Keats signs with Tennessee

Day 7 – Someone Is chasing Wang and is offering more, I up my offer by two mill bonus and 2 million more year 1 to front load it.

Day 8 – Wang signs!

Day 11 – Neblett signs too!

Day 13 – LS Walsh signs! I cut LS Bryan. I have free 14.53, so 4.5, but I’ll steer clear, and see what happens in the draft. See you then!!!

The 2040 NFL Amateur Draft:

OC Galloway our back up is 25/55, in his final year, 3rd year. Should I offer him for trade? The Texans need one badly, and offer me a couple of 7ths. Since Festa is 62/62 and he’s pretty green, even if Festa were to drop in his 10th year, I doubt my OC would start him. I wouldn’t want him too either. I trade for the Texan’s 7.28 this year and 7th next year,

I need starting LT, DE, backup RB, 3rd WR for Jellison, backup OC, backup rotational DE, stud DT, starting WILB, backup LB, backup CB and maybe rotational nickelback for Hull leaving this year.

1st Round – At 1.1, Cincinnati takes RB Teddy Kinney. Our pick arrives, there is a 6.7 DE rated named Chester Pate who is Hard to read. He is a run D specialist. My pass rushes for my DE are 66 for Suazo and 50 for Shaaf. His pass rush low and hard to readiness make me pass him.

I have a trade offer from Houston who is offering us a 5th 6th and 7th, for a 1.32? No thanks.

My staff like 6.2 hard to read RT Tyson Grasmasis who is a bit high for here bars wise. What about DT Sarratt? SLB Colbern looks good, around Howells levels, but Howells is still 60/60. This guy is better and the best player on the board by bars. 6.1 2nd C B is hard to read too, but Trevor Moskowitz has strong bars, but I just signed a cheap starter and CB Hull at 51/51 is my nickelback. He is okay mid bars at all coverage and picks. Trevor or SLB Colbern? Colbern could swap in for Howells and I could trade/cut Howells, and save tons. I need a backup CB and grabbing a starter quality here now is strong, like Downs’ish ness. He is better than Hull. CB Trevor.

2nd Round – I do like Colbern, and other than DE/LT none of which are here to drop to 2.32, and he won’t either, should I trade up for the early 2nd? A battery of WR goes, then TEs, then O Line and CB. No one with SLB needs is picking, and he is Hard to read. He is still there at 2.14, and now the 2nd best player on the board left at 6.3, Pate still there. The Browns want a future 2nd, not this one, and 3rd and 4th in 2041 and 2042. That would add some cash. This is not a deep draft, I’d prefer to trade up than out, but I like what Colbern offers. Colbern and future 2nd? Or wait until 2.32 and he WILL be off the board. I l let the Browns go, they grab RB, Bucs next, they make the same future 2nd offer and 3rd and the 4th too ,for a mid 2nd rounder. In real life you could offer this year’s pick, or in other games counter offer or just add picks for that offer. I don’t mind the 2nd losing, I’d just prefer it here, since I often get quality late 2nd, like Keats or Montano. That’s why I’d like to trade up. Like FB Blake last year. I traded up for that one. Or RB Hutchings. It’s weird that the AI sometimes grabs future and sometimes not.

Anyways, losing next year’s 2nd, and future 3rd 4th? Worth it for BAP SLB Colbern? His abilities are probably worth it, not a position of need, I could cut Howells. He’s about Howells quality. I am a 3-4. I do it.

2.32
- Will Pate still be there at 2.32? Nope, he went 2.21 to the Vikings. My staff here like S Alredo Husband, 5.0, not invited to the combine, underrated…looks strong, and I can cut FS 54/54 If that works.

LT or DE or WR slot are higher needs with starters now that I grabbed Moskovitz. DE Lee is very strong at pass rush, and weak elsewhere. He may not start, but he’ll rotate in possibly. LT Colon still on the board, he’s a hard to read 5.7 was top LT before, looks in the 50s in run and pass and strength. Any stud WRs falling here? All of the ones left are overrated. Colon looks okay, a bit high for here bars wise, FS Husband is strong, DE Lee very good at the pass rushing and the 4th DE on the board. I’d like to get higher quality LT here, better more well-rounded player than Lee or the best player Husband being a need. I am going FS Husband, it’s rare we get starting quality S this deep. I hope Lee will be on the board in the 3rd.

3rd Round
– Our 3rd rounder arrives. Is Lee/Colon on the board? Nope, neither, My staff here like WR Roosevelt Quigley who is 5.4 and overrated as is Holland. WR Stoney is 5.2 and hard to read. I grab him.

4th Round – Our next rounder arrives and my staff here like RB Christopher Heard, who is 5.7 ad very underrated. I want to grab him. But I don’t want to grab competition for Burroughs. DE Nate Mathews, very underrated is 5.5. I go DE.

5th Round
– Who do I like here? My staff like RB Logan Osborne a 5.2 very overrated player. Who else is frumping around? I also need a WILB. Who’s the best 5.1 Underrated JT Rowan. Bad bars though. Itake MLB Maurice Croteau.

5.35 is here. DE Green 5.8 As scouted best player left, BAP pick.? RB Brendon Uresti my staff like who is 5.3 and overrated. The top non-overrated or very is as scouted 5.1 James Hannah or 5.0 hard ot read Caleb Millet. Hannah has the best bars.

5.37, is Green there? Yup, I grab him.

6th Round – My staff here like RT Bryant Roberts who is 4.8 and hard to read. Any underrated or very LT I take a flyer on? The best LT is 4.6 Bernie McHale who is underrated. Maybe….he’s ugly but I grab him

7th Round – First Is 7.28 from my trade last year, my staff here like S Christian Dancy, who is 4.0 and hard to read. I already drafted S and didn’t have space for that, so no thanks. Who is BAP instead and fell? DE As Scouted 5.4 DT Mel Mahon is, but I have just signed NT Halapin and have full ranks. drafted two. He’s good at pass rushing though. I draft him, the best worst thing is to have too many pass rushing D line.

Our normally scheduled pick at 7.32 arrives. Our staff likes here S Dancy still. Who’s the BAP? OLB 5.2 hard to read Tywan Freese is the best on the board at his spot. He’s best at 3-4 ILB. I draft him.

The 2040 Carolina Panthers Draft:

1.32 – CB Trevor Moskovitz, Kansas City, 46/61
2.15 – SLB Joey Colbern, Virgina, 48/65
2.32 – FS Alredo Husband, South Carolina, 50/58;
3.32 – WR Harry Stoney, Louisiana State, 40/52
4.32 – DE Nate Matthew, Miami, 36/57
5.32 – MLB Maurice Croteau, Mississippi, 32/42;
5.35 – RB John Hannah, Louisiana State, 37/43
5.37 – DE Horace Green, Georgia, 34/48
6.32 – LT Bernie McHale, Utah State, 17/35
7.28 – DT Mel Mahon, Stanford, 33/46
7.32 - OLB Tywan Freese, Kansas State, 30/40

Moskovitz not bad, not great. Colbern good. Everyone down through DE Mathew strong stuff. Great depth save for LT McHale at 35, but he’s underrated and 6th rounder.

The 2040 Late Free Agency:

Day 1 – I have on my roster 57 signed, and cap space for 12.50

I move McMorris to SILB and he dropped to 65 potential from 68.

I offer these UFA 3 years, plus bonus:

OC Justin Nguyen – 34/61 – I offer more bonus due to that huge pot boost
CB Darion Ebett – 31/51
DE Jayden Khuu – 35/48

There are TWO 50+ pot UFas, but bringing them in could hit Hutchings’ carries more than I need too. I don’t want to risk that.

Should I cut SLB Howells and FS Hershberger now? I could move Howells to WILB,. I do so and his skills rise to 62/62 from 60/60. Good stuff. I’ll keep Hershberger, he’s a cheap and young option.

Day 2 – I revise my offers for Ebett and Nguyen

Day 3 - Khuu and Nguyen sign!!!

Day 5 – Ebett signs!

Here my three new UFAs!

UFAs:

OC Justin Nguyen – 34/60
CB Darion Ebett – 30/50
DE Jayden Khuu – 34/43

Khuu fall, Nguyen and Ebett one,

Preseason fun times…commence!!!

Week 4 – At Cincinnati – We lose 13-23; no new injuries

Rookie Lookie #2:

1.32 – CB Trevor Moskovitz, Kansas City, 46/61, 38/46
2.15 – SLB Joey Colbern, Virgina, 48/65, 56/66
2.32 – FS Alredo Husband, South Carolina, 50/58; 58/64
3.32 – WR Harry Stoney, Louisiana State, 40/52, 45/57
4.32 – DE Nate Matthew, Miami, 36/57, 43/53
5.32 – MLB Maurice Croteau, Mississippi, 32/42; 35/47
5.35 – RB John Hannah, Louisiana State, 37/43, 39/42
5.37 – DE Horace Green, Georgia, 34/48, 42/49
6.32 – LT Bernie McHale, Utah State, 17/35, 20/34
7.28 – DT Mel Mahon, Stanford, 33/46, 39/50
7.32 - OLB Tywan Freese, Kansas State, 30/40, 35/39, CUT

Ugh Moskovitz! No fall by Cobern, nice!! Hello Husband!!! Hello Stoney more!!!! Drop by Matthew, rise by Croteau, and Mahon to 50+

UFAs:

OC Justin Nguyen – 34/60, 41/56
CB Darion Ebbitt – 30/50, 34/42
DE Jayden Khuu – 34/43, 35/42, CUT

Drop by Ebbitt.

I cut these 7:

LT Gwyn with a 530k injury bonus
DE Khuu
DT Kaslowski
SLB Ferrier
CB Dubuisson
SS Dancy
OLB Freese

My starting roster!

The 2040 Carolina Panthers:

Here they are! I sorted depth by future. LT Parr my only starter under 50, save for SLOT Stoney, and he’s 57 pot. Fiste fell to 62/62 from 70/70. Hutchings fell to 52/52. FB Blake rose to 69/69. RT Wang is starting at 50/50 a drop in his first year. Flores started at 60 pot, rose to 62, then fell and is now 54/54. My staff like DT Rose over NT Halapin who fell from 68 to 61/61 as expected. Husband starting at FS over Hershberger, and they are starting at SS for Spencer who fell to 53/53. Hershberger rose to 67/67 from 54/54. Hull rose to 54/54 from 51/51 and is nickelback. I have to get LT next year, and then even maybe RG for Flores and RT for Wang. WILB Howells rose to 64/64!

Here's my good draft pick I traded up for since the other was a bust:

Here’s SLB Colbern! As you can see, he’s bad at picks, that’s it. Okay in the 50s and 60s at most everything else, save for physical pass d where he rocks the block. Enjoy the well rounded ness!!!

Ready for the first year of the decade? Let’s see if I can get a 62/62 Fiste to the Super Bowl and win back to backs?

Week 14 – At 8-4 Seattle – This HAS to be our get right game…if we want to keep our #1 seed and win the AFC South too likely. Rough spot for it. We win a close one 27-25. Fiste is 25 of 29 for 315 and 2:0, scores by Jackson on 10 for 198 and TE Wellons. Pick by CB Hull, Strip sack rec by Suazo who is 1.5 sacks and 2.5 by Breeden. 3 KRB by Planish, rush score by Hutchings. Great win for tiebreaker

Week 15 – At 9-4 New England – Wowzer Bowzer! Don’t get caught up by next week’s Atlanta game…we win an ugly, mistake defensively minded drive low scoring game by a point 15-14. Fiste is 21 of 35 for 227, picks by Hershberger and Hull. 2 sacks by Suazo. 5 KRB by Flores, 4 by Festa, 3 by Planish

Week 16 – 8-5-1 Atlanta – Tampa in front of Atlanta they are 3rd. We thump them 30-3…but…QB Fiste is out next week. He is 10 of 13 for 137 0:1 before being pulled for Winsor and he was 17 of 26 for 205 and 1:1. Jackson 10 for 134, score by Drury, Hutchins and RB Hannah the rush scores, picks by Downs and Carson, fum rec by DT Jean FF by DE Green, 2 sacks by SLB rookie Colbern and Suazo. Light KRB day

Week 17 – At 7-8 New York Jets – Can we keep up our wins momentum? Trap game? Tampa Bay is next week…they started Fiste…weird, we beat them 29-25. Stacy and Hutchings rush scores, Fiste is 28 of 34 for 298 and 1:1., Jackson the score. Pick SIX by Downs, pick by rookie Holland, just one sack, 3 KRB bY Festa and Wang

QB Fiste is back.

Week 18 – At 11-5 Tampa Bay – Rough – they have won the top WC and us the #1 seed, will either team show up today? Close game win by us 27-25. Fiste is 19 of 22 for 225 and 3:1, scores by Wellons, Stoney and RB Stacy. No picks, 2 sacks by Suazo, 5 kRB BY Planish, 3 by Festa,

The 2040 NFC South:

Carolina Panthers - 13-3-1, won, #1 Seed
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 11-6, WC #5 Seed
Atlanta Falcons – 10-6-1, WC #6 Seed
New Orleans Saints, 6-11

Three double digit wins and two top WCs and the #1 seed. We EARNED that spot…

Now…can we close with a 62/62 Fiste? He is still the 7th best QB in the league. Tampa Bay have 69/69 Monoz, Atlanta 59/59 Meyer at 9th.

The 2040 NFL Playoffs:

Who will win the first Super Bowl of the decade? We have the #1 Seed, as a reminder we have been to the Super Bowl the last three years and have won 2 of the last 3. Can we win the rare back to back one this year?

Wild Card Weekend:

I am rooting for Wild Card Vikes against the Rams, and then the Packers and Eagles to win over our divisional rival WCs. They are each 10-7 to our better records that know me well.

Results:

Texans against Bengals 23-17
Colts against Pats 35-34
Charges against Dolphins 34-21

Vikings over Rams 13-6
Falcons over Eagles 27-14
Packers over Bucs 26-10

Well two won!

We host the Vikings next week!

Divisional Champ Weekend:

We host them and beat them in our place earlier this year. We beat them 28-6.

Hutchings 23 for 114, rush score by Fiste who is 19 of 24 for 199 0:0. We had..>TWO PICK SIX by rookie Holland and one pick each by Carson and Downs. 3 KRB by Parr and Planish

Also:

The Packers defeated the Falcons 38-20.

Titans over Texans 30-17
Chargers over Colts 33-31

We host the Packers!!!

The Conference Championship:

We host the Packers who won the last two games by 18 and 16, they can win against us today….if we win we’ll make it to our 4th straight Super Bowl, where we are 4-3 and 8th total one. It’s not to be. The Packers win a defensive low scoring one score game 20-13.

Hutchings rush score, Fiste 19 of 38 for 232 and 0:1. No TOs, just one sack, but it was by Suazo, 4 KRB By Wang and Planish

Also:

The Chargers on the road knock out the Titans 28-24. Since they beat us two years ago, we won’t get vengeance.

The 2040 NFL Super Bowl:

The Packers win 34-20, another 2 or more score game, save for us. Good job Green Bay!!!

League Awards:

All-Pro 2nd Team:

OG Roy Flores!!!
DE Rich Suazo!!!!
S Lewis Hershberger!!!!!
K Ricky Brotherton

That’s Flores first as well as Suazo and Hershberger!!! When playing SS for Spencer, he was good enough statistically. That’s Brotherton’s 2nd All Pro in 4 years. Not as great for my usual of Jackson, Festa, or even Breeden, but not bad folks!!!!

Rookie Lookie #3:

1.32 – CB Trevor Moskovitz, Kansas City, 46/61, 38/46, 38/46
2.15 – SLB Joey Colbern, Virgina, 48/65, 56/66, 65/65
2.32 – FS Alredo Husband, South Carolina, 50/58; 58/64, 66/66
3.32 – WR Harry Stoney, Louisiana State, 40/52, 45/57, 50/57
4.32 – DE Nate Matthew, Miami, 36/57, 43/53, 52/53
5.32 – MLB Maurice Croteau, Mississippi, 32/42; 35/47, 35/47
5.35 – RB John Hannah, Louisiana State, 37/43, 39/42, 41/42
5.37 – DE Horace Green, Georgia, 34/48, 42/49, 50/50
6.32 – LT Bernie McHale, Utah State, 17/35, 20/34, 21/34
7.28 – DT Mel Mahon, Stanford, 33/46, 39/50, 46/50
7.32 - OLB Tywan Freese, Kansas State, 30/40, 35/39, CUT

Colbern started at WLB and Breeden at SLB weirdly. More growth of Husband. Green is now another 50 starter or strong sub from this deep draft. Six, one drafted fell. Very nice.

UFAs:

OC Justin Nguyen – 34/60, 41/56, 41/56
CB Darion Ebbitt – 30/50, 34/42, 34/42
DE Jayden Khuu – 34/43, 35/42, CUT

Nothing major here, but Nguyen gives me 7 since he didn’t fall too much.

Stats:

Throwing that Ball:

QB Fiste – 361 of 501, 4259 yards, which was 14th best, 35:8 6th best

Fiste is clearly falling.

Running that Ball:

RB Hutchings - 238 for 1061 9th best, ypc of 4.46, 10 scores, led the league
RB Stacy – 167 for 666, ypc of 3.99, 1 score
QB Fiste – 73 for 268 and 3 scores

You can tell Hutchings’ 52/52 form is true with a down 4.46 ypc. He was still better than Stacy

Catching that Ball:

WR Jackson – 106 for 1499, 9th best, 12 scores, 3rd best
WR Drury – 68 for 843 and 7 scores
TE Wellons – 64 for 721 and 7 scores
WR Stoney – 43 for 542 and 2 scores

Jackson drops as Fiste drops. Still not bad.

Blocking that Ball:

OG Flores – 43 KRB, 5 sacks allowed
OG Planish – 41 KRB, 1 pancake, 4 sacks
C Festa – 40 KRB, 1 pancake 5 sacks
RT Wang – 26 KRB, 9 sacks allowed

Rough opening year for Wang. My inner team all cleared 40 KRB!

Kicking that Ball:

K Brotherton – 35 of 40, long of 54, 44 of 49 PAT

Not bad on the FGs made and long. But PATs?

Punting that Ball:

P Suzuki – 76 punts for net avg of 44.43; 30 in 20

His net avg led the league yet no All Pro.

Rushing that Ball:

DE Suazo – 18.0 sacks, 2 TFL, 10 blocks, 10 hurries, 28 QBKD, 4 FF2, 2 Fum rec
WLB Breeden – 7 sacks, 5 TFL, 4 hurries, 10 QKBD, 3 FF,
SLB Colbern – 6.5 sacks, 5 TFL, 2 blocks, 7 hurries, 9 QBKD
DT Halaprin – 4.5 sacks, 3 TFL, 1 block, 8 hurries, 3 QBKD
FS Hershberger – 150 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 9 TFL, 3 hurries, QBKD

Suazo was 2nd most sacks in the league, 3rd in blocks, and 2nd in QKBD and led our team in it and ALL non-TFL Rush Stats!!!! Breeden 2nd in sacks, Colbern 3rd in his debut season. Hershberger led in TFL. DE Suazo and ILB McMorris led with 4 FF.

Covering that Ball:

FS Hershberger – 4 picks, 2 pick six, 15 pasdef
CB Hull – 4 picks and 7 pasdef
CB Carson – 3 and 4
CB Downs – 2 and 15
FS Husband – 2 picks and 11 pasdef

Hershberger also led my team in picks and pasdef too.

Who to give my awards too this time will be rough…

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: OG Roy Flores – Won his first All Pro, led my team in KRB, and looked strong while doing it!!! He only allowed 5 sacks.

Defensive Player of the Year: CO-WINNERS: FS Lewis Hershberger AND DE Rich Suazo
– I have never done this in my FOF dynasties history, but both owned all of our defensive stats. They led in sacks, TFL, FF, picks, hurries, QB knockdowns, blocks, tackles and pasdef. No one else got any pertinent defense stat. And they both won their first All Pro!!!

Special Teams Player of the Year: K Rickey Brotherton -
This was also close an All Pro K or a league leading net avg P. I went with the award, and since Brotherton was injured last year, this is really the third full season.

Rookie of the Year: SLB Joey Colbern – Shout out to WR Stoney and FS Husband. But when he was only one of three players with more than 5 sacks, and when he looked so strong out there, he was great, and already is fully developed. Good luck Colbern!!!

Heart Award: CB Hasan Corson – With a 40/40 and not even my dimeback, he still got three picks and four pas def. Great job!

Can we knock out the Super Bowl and who will come back…Fiste?

The 2041 NFL Offseason:

I end the season with a roster of 53; Fiste 13th year vet, and 11 DT Halaprin and SS Spencer, 10 is C Festa, LB Howells and LG Planish and LS Walsh. No one retires.

The Philadelphia Eagles move to Boise, just as a reminder.

The 2041 Hall of Fame:

EIGHT new ones. QB Joe Burrow and Josh Allen; RB Kurt Umanzor; DT Kai Vermeulen and Zach Harrison; DE Cyrus Shelby; OT Joshua Menon and Taliese Fuaga.

Our GM eval is 72

Tix – We sold out, I massage them

Staff Draft:

Heading out next year is DC Vander Esch and Head Trainer Mayo. I retain DC and HT Mayo.

The Draft is Revealed:

I could use a new injection of RB if we don’t resign Humphries since he dropped to 53/53. We pick 1.30. However, our OC/HC doesn’t always agree with me for depth chart stuff. I would have run the crap out of him years 1 and 2. Just like we did with RB Taylor. I need LT for Parr. That’s it. Also RT Wang fell and made a bad first impression. The draft is revealed. The top player is 8.4 RT Lem, and then two more down is QB Markus Draper, 8.0, underrated. One stud 7.8 RB named Alonso Herrara as scouted. Five low 6.s one 5.2 TE that wasn’t invited to he combine and is overrated too, 7.3 stud WR named Mason Odum, as scouted, 5 more in the 6s. Just two 6s, three RTs in the7.0s or 8s, and then 7 more in 6.0s. Light LTs though, the highest is 6.8 hard to read Artie Hoffbauer with good bars. Just two 6s DE, one 8.1 DT< and then one 6. Just one ILB at 6.8, three low 6s OLB, two stud 7s CB, two 6s. four low 6s S. Not a great draft for Defense like Line or LB or CB after a few at the top. Over 3 8.0 and 6 7.0s so everyone from 9 on up should be walking away with a 7.0 drafted leader. Since three are RTs, it’s possible they might fall later. I would love to walk away from this draft with a new Lt and maybe RT too.

Tag: I have free CB 54/54 Hull, DT Jean and LT Parr.

See you at Day 1!!!

The 2031 NFL Free Agency:

I have 44 signed, and cap space of 25.43.

Day 1 – Let’s see who wants what?

Free:

DT Rose – 53/53, run stopper, wants 3 years for 13.05, cap hit of 3.61. Reasonable.
DT Jean – 45/45 – pass rusher, wants 14.74 mill over 3 years, 4.18 cap hit. Reasonable
CB Hull – 54/54, wants 16.52mill over 3 years for cap hit of 4.62.

Hull is much more reasonable than last year. Hull is the starter/nickel with 59/59 Downs and 54/54 Neblett. I need to increase

Also free are RB Stacy, WR Jeffries, LT Parr, TE Goldsby, WLB Eilers and SILB Bailey. I won’t send them cash.

Key Rookies in Last Year:

P Suzuki – Cap hit of 2.27, wants extension of 15.13 mill, 3 years, cap hit rise to 4.4. I do it.

DE Suazo – 53/53, uh oh…cap hit of 2.03 mill, wants extension of 55.48 mill for 4 years for cap hit rise to 10.49. His pass rush is just 66, I think he had one great year. We’ll resign him next year if it continues

OG Flores – 54/54, dropped as we mentioned from 62/62, had a strong year last year, cap hit of 2.89, wants 5 year 64.04 mill extension for 9.74 this year, and if he were still 62/62, sure. Like Suazo, with a run blocking of 60, he outplayed himself, but if he redoes it, I’ll resign him at this cash next year.

RB Hutchings – 53/53, cap hit of 10.18, wants extension of 4 years for 50.13 to raise this year to 15.07. I kept my cap free this year but with a drop in year 3 in quality, I need more. I’ll let him run out and then see if we can do a budget friendly deal based on his ability.

Extensions:

FS Hershberger – 66/66, year 7, 28 years old, was signed as budget starter, rose massively last year from 54/54, really did well and won All Pro. Cap hit of 5.77, wants real money now of 3 years at 43.28, cap hit rise to 13.32.

QB Fiste – Cap hit of 28.55, wants two year big extension of 93.53 mill for 64.4 cap hit. Can’t do it. I’ll wait until next year too.

TE Wellons – 57/57 – 8th year, cap hit of 21.63 mill, wants two years at 32.26 for a cap fall to 15.58. If I cut him I’d free 20.65. Should I cut him and resign?

CB Downs – 59/59, 7th year, cap hit of 14.84, wants 26.46 for 3 years for cap hit 12.8. Done

NT Halapin 60/60 - cap hit of 6.08, will let go even though he wants 8.8 two years cap hit of 6.07 do to age of 34

SS Spencer – 53/53 – cap hit of 13.53, after I drafted FS Mustard and he dropped, and Hersberger rose, he didn’t start. I cut him to free up 10.74

WILB Howells – 64/64, cap hit of 16.37, wants two years at 17.35, drop cap hit to 11.5. Done

C Festa – 11th year, 61/61 – cap hit of 13.29, wants two years at 20.39 for cap hit of 13.10. Done.

LG Planish – 11th year, 61/61 – cap hit of 12.73 = wants two years at 13.39 rise a bit. Done.

I extend LS Walsh,

After that I resign CB Hull and Dt Rose. Do I cut and resign Wellons? I do. I extend Hershberger.

Day 2 – I have signed 44, and I have free cap space of 45.34

What does TE Wellons want? 3 years, 13.81 mill, cap hit of 4.1. I offer him cap hit of 4.75 mill. 30 mill left but i need to keep cap space for QB Fiste and Hutchings, Suazo, and Flores next year.

RT/LT:

Any better LT/RT than last year’s Wang? Any stud starting DE across from Suazo?

LT Brent Atkinson – 52/52, 12 year pro, wants 2 year deal at just 11 mill even, cap hit of 5.19. He’s an older cheap patch in case I cannot draft LT or we have a draft bust. He WILL drop, I get it, but he’s cheap.

RT Luke Singh – 64/64, 6 year pro, age 28 wants 55 mill for 15.45 mil cap hit. Pricey, but not for him. Cap hit rises bunches here to 19.39 next year and 20.67 next. Run blocking 62, pass blocking 92 str 16.

LT Toby Gaubatz – 64/64, 6 years, age 27, 136.73 for 4 years , cap hit of 26.01; run blocking of 74, pass 36, str 70.

I love bringing in Singh, since I have the cap space, but that would remove drafting RT for Wang, ditto Gaubatz. I have the space for Gaubatz, but he’s a pass blocking weak which could hurt All Pro. His cap hit would rise sharply to 33 then 36 and 40. Since I need to keep cap space for next year for Fiste et all, I just make an offer for Atkinson at 5.75 mill.

24 mill left

I need starter studs in the draft NT since Halaprin is an older cheap patch, stud RB for Hutchings if free, DE across from Suazo although DE Schaaf isn’t bad at 55/55 and LT/RT. If they are a cheaper older patch like Halaprin or Atkinson, I would love to bring in. I am set LB, WR wise with my great mid-draft surprise. I am set CB wise with resigning Hull.

Any great cap free young value? Anywhere?

What about…

OG Rufus Schuman – 75/75, 6th year vet age 28, wants just 42.45 over 3 years for cap hit of 11.84. He is cheap, and I could cut Flores. His run blocking is 77, pass 82, strength 67. Just like the cheap at the time OG Planish to replace retiring OG Robert. Pretty cheap for his age and ability. No weaknesses. Or do I like the cheaper OG Flores now and then can make a decision next year.

I only offer Atkinson and Wellons. I have 44, 46 after them.

Day 4 – I get a trade offer from the Lions for WR Drury and my 5th this year they are offering me 2.27 this year and 3rd next year. I would love to get back into the 2nd after trading away my 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the pick for SLB last year, but Drury is a bit pricey. And for a 1st i’d do it too.

Day 9 – Wellons rejoins us!!!

Day 12 – Atkinson signs.

See you at the draft!!!

The 2041 NFL Amateur Draft:

1st Round
– Here I need Lt like water in the desert. Hopefully 6.8 LT Artie Hofbauer is there, but he’s the best LT in the draft, so I doubt it. There are four RTs above him though. At the 1.1 heads stud WR Mason Odum to NYG. QB Draper 1.2 to Arizona, in the top 10 all three RTs in the 80s and 9s are gone, and RB stud went to Baltimore. I doubt Hofbauer is there. He heads to Houston at 1.14.

Who is there at 1.30? There are two mid 6.0s LT left in 6.4 Frankie Coreas at hard to read and LT Eddie Swift which my staff like who is as scouted. It looks like Coreas has WAY better bars. I grab him.

I have a bunch of picks on day 3 due to comps, as a reminder, I need backup RB, WR, TE, 2 LB, S for Spencer

5th Round – My staff here like S Chauncy Alegria who is 4.3 and underrated, I do it.

Who is here a few picks later? My staff like WR Fernando Nunez, a 4.7 overrated WR. No thanks. I do very underrated SLB 5.0 Myron Mauk.

6th Round – My staff here like WR Brenton Polson who is 4.5 and underrated. Since he’s underrated sure thing.

7 picks later, my staff like DT Ivan Chamberlain who is 4.6 and overrated, but there’s a 5.1 As Scouted DT named Elliot Goricki , he’s a run D specialist. I grab run stopping 4.9 ILB as scouted Moala

7th Round – Our pick at 7.25 arrives. My staff here like DT Watson. He is 4.5 and As Scouted and not great bars. DT Goricki still there, but I signed my run d specialist Rose back

I need RB so I grab the top underrated RB, named Colby Phinney

At 7.30 we pick and have the need for a 3rd TE, so I draft 3.9 as scouted Stan Duke

At 7.35 my staff like DT Watson still, is Goricki there? Nope, we grab him

The 2041 Carolina Panthers Draft
:

1.30 – LT Eddie Swift, Iowa State – 39/55
5.30 – SS Chauncey Alegria, California - 30/41
5.36 – SLB Myron Mauk, Pittsburgh – 31/41
6.30 – WR Brenton Polson, Carolina - 27/37
6.37 – WILB Brent Moala, Laval - 22/50
7.25 – RB Colby Phinney, Tennessee Tech – 34/35
7.30 – TE Stan Duke, Arkansas - 27/37
7.35 – NT Rolando Watson, Southern Nazarene - 29/39

It looks like we team picked again and saved. We have loads of under and very underrated we need to hit.

The 2041 NFL Late Free Agency:

I need to nail these UFAs since my draft was poor.

Day 1 – I have on my roster signed 54. I addressed every backup and need in the draft and grabbing NT Watson too.

I offer these UFAs three year deals and bonuses:

QB Charlie Mull – 35/52 – I offer him more as a QB
RB Mohammed Wasson – 31/45
TE Sedrich Imlach, 20/40
S David Bradham, 24/43
SLB Owen Redfield, 24/46

No rookie WRs have better pot than Polson

Any good non-UFAs to offer with my cap space?

DT Leonard Atiles – 2nd year, 22 years old, 49/52 -pass rushing like Jean, at 72 and 69 str. Wants 3 years, 8.55 cap hit of 2.31. Nice addition for Jean. But I really l need a stud. If I signed, I could cut Watson. I offer Atiles 3 mill cap hit

Day 2 – Bradham signs.

Day 3 – None sign, I increase offer for TE Imlach, QB Mull and RB Wasson.

Day 4 – Imlach signs.

Day 5 – Everyone else does too

UFAs:

QB Charlie Mull – 34/51
RB Mohammed Wasson – 29/39
TE Sedrich Imlach, 19/37
S David Bradham, 24/39
SLB Owen Redfield, 23/46

Mull the clear hope from here. Redfield didn’t drop in pot.

I head to the preseason.

The 2041 NFL Preseason:

Week 2 – Pittsburgh – We host the Steelers. We win 27-15, and no injuries

Week 3 – At New York Jets – We lose 13-17, but no injuries

Week 4 - Cincinnati – We…tie 21-21; no injuries!

Rookie Lookie #2:

1.30 – LT Eddie Swift, Iowa State – 39/55, 44/57
5.30 – SS Chauncey Alegria, California - 30/41, 39/46
5.36 – SLB Myron Mauk, Pittsburgh – 31/41, 38/42
6.30 – WR Brenton Polson, Carolina - 27/37, 27/38
6.37 – WILB Brent Moala, Laval - 22/50, 31/54
7.25 – RB Colby Phinney, Tennessee Tech – 34/35, 26/29, CUT
7.30 – TE Stan Duke, Arkansas - 27/37, 28/34
7.35 – NT Rolando Watson, Southern Nazarene - 29/39, 32/39

Swift still a bit meh, but I’ll take a rise there. Growth by Alegria, minor by Mauk, Polson, bigger rise by Moala, big drop by Phinney, smaller drop by Duke,

UFAs:

QB Charlie Mull – 34/51, 36/46
RB Mohammed Wasson – 29/39, 29/31
TE Sedrich Imlach, 19/37, 21/31, CUT
S David Bradham, 24/39, 23/29, CUT
SLB Owen Redfield, 23/46, 25/40, CUT

Big drop by Mull, sad but not unexpected. Ditto Wasson, Imlach, Bradham, and Redfield too

I cut these 7:

QB Threatt
RB Phinney
TE Imlach
NT Watson
SLB Redfield
S Bradham
CB Moskovitz last year’s 1st round bust

The 2031 Carolina Panthers:

Here’s muh starters and depth. Like last year all are 50 and more, save for LT Swift who is a rookie with 57 pot. You can see Fiste ebbed a bit more to 60/60, FB Blake from 70/70 to 62/62 in year 3, Hutchings rose two, LG Planish dropped three to 58/58, NT Atiles picked up in Late FA is starting, Howells dropped form 64/64 to 52/52, FL Stoney dropped from 57/57 to 54/54. C Nguyen rose to 31/61, NT Halapin dropped 7 to 53/53, DE Suazo is not starting, DE Mathew is.

Let’s look at my rook:

Here you go! He’s weak at run blocking, okay at pas s, strong at strength and weak at scheming.

Now the season will start!!!

Week 5 - At NYG – We win a ROUGH for our offense game, 28-12. Fiste is 12 of 20 for 108 and 1:1 and score to Drury. We had TWO PICK Sixs by CB Hull, one pick by OLB Freese, 2 sacks by UFA signee Atiles, bad and ugly KRB day.

Week 6 – Boise – We host the Eagles next. We double their score 30-15. Rush score by RB Wasson, Fiste is 27 of 36 for 312 and 2:1, Jackosn is 8 for 126, scores by FB Blake and WR Stoney. Pick by CB Coron and SLB Colbern, Fumrec b YDE Matthew, FF by DT Atiles, just two sacks, both by Atiles, 4 KR by Festa, light otherwise

Week 7 – Atlanta – Can we get back to splitting and not losing to them in tiebreakers? We are at home!!! We edge them 36-31. Fiste? He’s 23 of 31 for 288 and 3:0 Jackosn 8 for 101 and 2 scores, one by Wellons. Fum Rec RET TD for the win by DE Mathew, and another recovery by CB Downs, FF by DE Schaaf and Green, 1.5 sacks by Green, light blocking day, another

Week 8 - At LA Chargers – Can we sweep LA? They are a nasty powerful, recent Super Bowl winning team. Against us! Nope we lose 25-37. Hutchings rush score, Fiste is 26 of 40 for 299 and 1:2, ouch. Score by Wellons, FF by McMorris he recovered and S Husband rec by DT Mahon, 2 sacks by Breeden, 5 KRB by Festa, 4 by Planish.

At the break we are 6-2. Atlanta is also 6-2 and in front of us. Minnesota and SF are 6-2 too. At 7-1 in front of us all is the LA Rams we beat so have a tie-breaker with.

Stats:

Fiste – 2107, 4th most; 14:5, 9th most,
Jackson – 73 for 636, 11th; 6 scores
5 sacks each by Breeden and Suazo
Festa – 24 KRB, 3rd highest by position
