I was barely interested in the acolyte after watching two episodes and I tried to watch the third and it just is not my cup of tea. I’m excited for the Mandalorian movie though

People need to understand that storytellers don't owe you anything. Now, the reverse is also true, but storytellers have no obligation to make you happy with content or timing or anything else.

Well, Disney does owe us something. They seem to be cancelling series left and right, and the content is not showing up in anywhere near the quantity that has been announced. Yet the subscription pricing keeps going up and up.

Can’t you substitute any profession or service in place of storytellers and say the same thing? Uber drivers, restaurants, landscapers, fashion designers, healthcare, etc. |

Yes, Disney owes us what we are promised explicitly and implicitly, but they don't owe us anything in terms of specific stories. Now we don't owe them anything either and can freely choose to watch or not, subscribe or not. It's a business relationship that too many people see as a betrayal of values. The stories don't belong to the consumer and there's no moral need to provide stories that appeal to anyone in particular.

Exactly. It's a business relationship and you can walk away any time you aren't satisfied, but they don't have an obligation to provide the product to your specifications.
