Wow. Thats a huge kill for the Mafia. Well guys, we are already two villagers down, and if we fail to lynch a mafia member today, we'll go two more down once they kill tonight. We need to get the odds back in our favor.

Heh, well 2-4 villagers to start out is fairly normal and not alarming. It's losing the witness that is a killer.

Did Mr. Wed. give off any signs that he was a seer, or was it just a lucky kill by the mafia?

Only reason I can see to kill him, other than random, is to give legitimacy to this quote:

Not really sure where to go here. My first thought was that it might have been just a random selection from the group that voted for jeff, and since RealDeal got lynched on the first day, taking out Mr. Wednesday reduces that group to two.
My second thought was, well, wait, no: killing somebody who voted for someone who actually IS a mafioso simply draws attention to their target. So I'd be inclined to think, at least until better information presents itself, that jeff is probably okay. Just some initial thoughts. |

Well, just got online and I'm not sure where to vote today. After reviewing the thread, I have no information to go on besides last nights votes. Going to think about it some more.

It just sucks that it feels like a day 1 vote except we already lost 2 people.

Another thought, anyone hiding behind the "vote realdeal and then blade" in the first two days would be a candidate to me for being part of the mafia. Since they know who the other mafia members are, and if Blade is actually a villager, it would be a good scheme to hide behind as "trying to get rid of any drama" while taking out two villagers in the process. Just some thoughts though.

I have nothing to go on, but I have got to make an official vote, and I doubt that I am going to be around before the end of the voting.
So I Vote SackAttack |

I don't think so, it is the perfect way to blend in. No one else that can be linked to them as far as voting patterns go, and it looks like a completely random vote. It really is the perfect way to deflect attention this early on, I always look strongly at the "lone" voters on day one.

interesting. I think Sack is actually helping us. Why would you throw a vote his way. I'd guess he's a villager with what he's given us so far. So with that being said. Vote Bearcat729 |

I've been hoping someone could give us something to go on. I've been delaying my vote hoping to hear something of substance. I've got flag football coming up at the top of the hour, though I'm not sure we'll hear anything in the next couple of hours.
I'm going to go with blade6119. I really don't have a reason, but no one has come up with anything better thus far. VOTE Blade6119

I've still got very little to add from a discussion point of view.
No real feeling on anyone thus far. To be consistent, I'll repeat my vote from yesterday. Vote Fouts. I'm definitely able to be persuaded, though. |

Right now I'm leaning towards bearcat for voting for Sack who seems to be helping, but I'll hold off on an official vote till a little later on to see everyone's views.

What is the deal with protecting Sack? Am I missing something here? All I can see that he has done to "prove" he is a villager is Vote Realdeal, threaten Bug, say it sucks that Realdeal was just a villager, but that we are probably better of without him(agreed). And not much else. So how exactly is Sack appearing to be a villager. I highly suspect Sack, Illinifan, and Sndvls at this point.
Vote SackAttack Something just doesn't seem right here.

After thinking on it for awhile, I'm gonna vote for the quietest person in the game. I'll give everyone an hour to start posting some thoughts. How else are we going to target the right person?
Even though we lost a witness, we still have more important roles out there (and maybe another witness). I would suggest you hold your roles close to the vest, we don't want to lose another important role this early. |

It seems pretty suspect that dubb is so eager to get rid of someone who is trying to help, whatever little amount that may be especially since a lot of people are being quiet, myself included because it's pretty much anyone can be a mafia right now. I don't think we should be trying to off people who are helping. I'm really suspicious of that. But dubb is helping by so I don't want to vote him off because we could lose a potentially helpful villager so....
I'm gonna have to vote bearcat

You're right in that I haven't done a thing to prove I'm a villager (although I am). However, for the sake of clarification: My vote for RealDeal was solely based on the drama going on in Werewolf IX and having no desire to see something similar spill over into my first Werewolf experience. As for Bug...I've been threatening him for weeks, even before I joined Werewolf. That's more of an inside joke between him and me than anything else. So your suspicion of me is based on a vote for RD - in which I'm not alone - and my griping at Bug because my Dodgers came perilously close to choking away a 21-game lead. Pretty flimsy basis for suspecting me of mafia ties. |

I'm gonna back off bearcat, seems like it was just a random vote.
unvote bearcat vote dubb He just seems way to focused on getting someone who is trying to help out of the game.

True, but that's like trying to prove a negative. "I can't prove you aren't one, so I'm going to vote for you." I have to run off and try to conduct an interview for my journalism class. I hope to be back to read the analysis before the final deadline, and my vote may certainly change between now and then, but in the interests of self-preservation: Vote Bearcat729. Nothing personal. I may be back in 20 minutes, I may be back in 3 hours. Hopefully it'll be somewhere in between. Last edited by SackAttack : 08-15-2005 at 06:38 PM. |

I've done some reflecting, and now I'm curious here. You're citing my vote for RealDeal, but after looking at the list, you voted for his lynching as well. So other than my jibe at Bug, what logical reason exists for you to vote for me? unvote Bearcat729. Gonna hold off casting my final vote for a while longer. |

It's particularly unfair with role-describing PMs in a game which is indicated to have some unrevealed twists. Part of the fun is for there to be a possibility of people faking roles. If you're to prove yourself, you need to use game events, voting, and similar arguments to do it. <return to the grave>
