I was so excited about this years game. Now from what I have read the patch ruined the game!

The game itself seems solid, but I've noticed a lot of stuttering and low frame rate post-patch.

Some of the improvements are nice, but it's generally the same old thing with more problems. Wish I didn't purchase, especially with 2k right on the horizon.

One oddity, on the PS4, it tells me I can update the player faces... but when I go to the PS store there is nothing there.

They have the coach mode that I wished Madden had. I haven't actually used it in a few versions, but last time I did they had the option of actually watching the game from the coach's field of vision on the sideline, too.

Coach mode and sim mode is amazing in 2K and supposedly much better this year. I'm kinda amazed there is anyone who doesn't hate basketball and/or video games that hasn't played it

Patch has turned Madden 16 into a crashing, buggy mess. It just crashed while I was looking at the manage files page. Still no roster update. Still no face update even though I'm prompted to download it everytime I turn the game on.

I am saddened that this thread actually had me believing they'd succeeded in making crucial changes for once, yet seemingly still concludes with the exact same anger, disappointment and wait for a patch from previous years of the Madden Experience.

I believe about half what I read over at OS. The rosters are accurate, Aldon Smith is on the Raiders and what not. I did notice some speed changes, so it seems fine to me. Played our first game against the Seahawks, Russell Wilson threw 6 INTs.. although Foles threw 4 of his own (I'm not that good). We won 37-17 after being down 10-6 at halftime. Both Mason and Gurley each had about 80 yards rushing. I also had like 6 sacks and our defense was unreal. Some of the game is great.. other parts are meh.. I let the CPU do the progression stuff.. all I want to do is play the games. It's a game.. so I don't expect 100% accurate stats when playing games, seems a little goofy for Wilson to through 6 INTs though.. Lynch rushed for about 95 yards. There was like 12 total penalties.. which was nice. Up next we head to Washington. |

I decided to start a Raiders franchise.
First up was the Bengals, which we beat 26-24. Carr and Dalton both tossed a couple INT's, Jeremy Hill and Roy Helu both went over 100 yards rushing. My defense got seven sacks and a safety, in addition to the two INT's. I advanced to week two, to look at the confidence levels of LT's. Most seemed to be in the mid-50's. Not many above or below that level.

Week 2: Got absolutely destroyed by the Ravens. To the point that I had to take David Carr out to save his life.
Six turnovers, six sacks, 30-3 loss.

Spent yesterday tweaking my sliders for Pro and having good games with the setting below. For those of us that aren't wizards with the stick.
How I play Madden This part does have some impact as I play with some rules and only control players on offense. •On both offense and defense I go with suggested play and only pick a play from the 3 presented. (Strategy only) This stops me from using go to plays and gets me out of my comfort zone and making choices from plays that I sometimes don't like at all. •On defense I do not control any players or call audibles. The only interaction I have here is shifting the D-Line/LBers/secondary one way of the other. I will also have the Dline crash a certain way or edge rush and the secondary show blitz or bail. Apart from that I just watch. •Offensively I do not call audibles, which the exception of changing the side the play will go to. General game settings (CFM) Updated 09/12/15 tested extensively with patch and new rosters. Game 4 of current CFM with sliders below, coming off a 5 TD day against the Chargers in a wild 41-35 OT win, Bridgewater leads the Vikings in Denver to take on the Broncos in a heavy downpour. It was not pretty. I love that I lose like this sometimes, most fun I have had with Madden ever.

Started my franchise, 11 min quarters, All-Pro, default sliders.
Lost to the Raiders 24-23 with 5 seconds left. BUT! It played like a real NFL game. I fought for yards, settled for tons of short passes as the deep ball wasn't there, it was good. No one had monster numbers. I liked it. Only 1 penalty though, maybe I'll jack that up. |

Beat Washington 38-18 and there was only 2 INTs total. We have a deadly RB combination with Mason and Gurley.
Anyone have an issue with raising defensive holding to 55 and it always goes back to 50? |

Gotcha...haven't focused much on CFM yet, kind of waiting to see if any other patching coming soon...but have been still enjoying Play Now games and do still believe this is the best version in a long time. Really haven't changed any sliders, still default all-pro except for upping the penalty sliders. However, one thing I have noticed on default, don't believe I have seen one single fumble yet....will likely need to mess with that slider a bit.
I hope the people who develop the NHL game is watching so maybe they can take some steps forward at least in generating realistic penalties. |

It's definitely the best Madden in many years. I've seen two fumbles, one in each of my first two games. No injuries though.. but there is an injury slider - just don't know if I really want tons of injuries as I'm a bit weird when it comes to games and like the starters to play as much as possible. I don't mind some injuries, but I don't want half my team going down either. I've read that slider is touchy.
Think I'll play a few more games and then adjust if needed. |

In my test franchise, I lost Ryan Tannehill to a broken collarbone. But didn't see much in the way of injuries beyond that.

I have my slider at 60 right now and still haven't seen many injuries...at most one a game....will likely move that up too...I am not looking for a lot of long term injuries, more looking for the occasional player that has to come out of the game. I did lose one player to a groin tear, just sounds painful..... |

I might try at 55 to see what that does. I did lose Foles in a play now game but haven't seen one injury in my CFM. One thing I do wonder about.. is the CPU teams losing players in simmed games.

I modified BYU 14's sliders slightly - I had to raise the QB accuracy because in my first preseason game Kaepernick was throwing wounded ducks all over the field (...maybe that's realistic...), and I'm really happy with the results.
First two games of the season have both been close and not as interception-happy as my pre-patch/roster update/slider changes games were. Played the Panthers and Cam Newton was inconsistent, missing a few receivers on crucial plays, but making some big throws too. He only scrambled a few times - 3 maybe - but we were blitzing him all game so he didn't really get a lot of opportunities. We won 30-24. I got a little over 100 yards on the ground, and the Panthers had about 140ish.

Beat the Steelers, 23-20 in OT. Antonio Brown is a BEAST.
Had a PI call in my favor late in the game and we scored a TD shortly afterwards. Both QB's were injured for a series.. but that was it, raising injuries to 60 now and also lowering human tackling to 45 and raising CPU run blocking to 55 as Le'Veon Bell only had 44 yards on 22 carries. Other than that.. game has been a lot of fun. |

Week 3: Beat the Browns, 41-20. Ran for nearly 200 yards, only threw the ball 18.

Beat the Saints last night 26-20 on a TD with two minutes remaining (missed the extra point thanks to completely missing the right stick). We couldn't get the Saints off the field until we injured Brees on a sack putting him out for the rest of the quarter... Flynn (his backup) was 0-4 passing on their last set of downs.
I liked that the Saints could get nothing going on the ground but were killing me through the air by slowly marching their way down field and converting on a lot of 3rd and shorts - the reverse of what I saw against the Panthers. Also been experimenting with BYU 14's strategy of picking one of the 3 recommended plays from the first screen. I mostly like it and definitely called some plays I don't usually, but it's a bit repetitive in playcalling and I don't get a lot of opportunities to run it with Kaepernick... Might restrict it to 6 plays instead of 3. I don't limit myself on defense... The 49ers are bad enough on that side of the ball already.

No... default AP with penalties at 55, injuries at 60 and the other two changes I posted above. Also going to increase my accelerated clock from 12 seconds remaining to 15.. there is just not enough time with using 12 and I have to snap the ball really quick. |

I think I need to adjust the sliders after three straight games going over 200 yards rushing. Just beat the Broncos, 37-3. They didn't have Manning, who is lost for the season.
