Anyway.. if it's not on there, just add the band.

Yeah. I created that the day I created an account and was just going to add Led Zeppelin, but decided to add some more of my favorite bands. I really like the blend it creates on the station.

Good call! I was gonna create a Led Zeppelin Station and remembered you had one and gave it a try.... I've had it on for the majority of the day now!

What's the difference between sharing a station and just listening to it? Anyone know?

That wiki article says it was a hidden track -- I didn't realize you could hide tracks anymore. Anyway, looks like they hid it from Pandora -- they don't list it on that album. I added the band.

I think that "sharing" is just an invitation to someone else to listen to your station. Or maybe "sharing" just means that you're giving the site permission to let other people listen to a station on your profile.

If you guys think the FOFC Radio Station is a cool idea, but you're not sure if you want to listen to it all the time, you might want to check out the QuickMix feature. I've been using it this morning, with a lot of success. I mixed FOFC Radio, my own station where I've thrown in everything I like, the same kind of station by a friend of mine (where she's thrown in everything she likes), plus one of the Classical stations. I like it because first of all, while I like you guys and your musical tastes, I don't want to listen to it at the expense of listening to my own station; plus, it makes a seed that I don't like more palatable -- it plays 1-2 songs from a station before moving on to another station, but keeps the seed intact, so if I get a bad seed, it's not four songs from that seed in a row -- instead it mixes those four songs with my other stations.

Also, is Friday a good day to be adding new music? Or would Monday be better, since it's the beginning of the week? Or some other day? I only chose Friday since that's the day we started it, but any day works for me.

I don't think I've heard of any of those, except Eagle-Eye Cherry.

I think we'll work our way to Monday gradually. We did Friday the first week, Thursday the second week, so I was thinking Wednesday this week, Tuesday next week, then Mondays after that. Sound good?

We also still need to figure out if we're going to put a limit on the number of choices each person can have.

The first post in this thread has been edited, to more easily keep track of what everyone has added to the station.

I wouldn't call myself a Beatles buff, but I remember it was something from Rubber Soul. Don't remember exactly what right now, not even looking at a track listing.

Yeah, the monday thing works for me. I'm not sure about limiting ppl to a certain # of choices, but instead, how about starting fresh the first Monday of the month or something.

I'm currently listening to some jazz music... wow is it awesome!

I took Pass' tip and am listening to quick mix today. It's nice to have the shorter seeds and also get more of your personal tastes in the mix.

Okay, time to add more stuff. I still don't know what I want to add yet, though! Maybe that's because I never heard The Blow while listening, so it almost feels like I never added it.

That's kind of where I am. I really haven't heard much of my stuff come up yet, so I'm trying to figure out what to add by thinking of what is out of balance right now and what would best add variety, if that makes sense. For instance, the station right now comes off as very adult-alternative for me, so I want to stay away from that for my add......

I'll do another song, yes this is the correct spelling:

"Svefn-g-englar" by Sigur Ros.

Not trying to be deliberately obscure, but this is truly one of my all-time favorite songs.

Must've been. There was a Louis Armstrong song even included in that set of 4.

There were two versions of this. One was A Kiss To Build a Dream On, and A Kiss To Build a Dream On (Holiday). Any preference? I added the first one.

Well, I wasn't around so much on Monday, so whoever's around this week can add stuff. For my choice, Christmas is over, but Vince Guaraldi is still awesome. I wanted to add Peppermint Patty, but all it has is Peppermint Patty (Live) -- I hope it's as good.

Well, since I'm the only one to add anything last week, I'll just replace a song this week, so I don't have way more than everyone. I'll replace "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" since it was just to get things started. I'll exchange it with another older song, "Psycho Drama" by Rupert Holmes. I'm interested to see what happens with that -- if it gives a lot of crappy 70's singer/songwriter junk, I'll take it off.
