Place is going to be rocking. Friend of mine reminded me of that Denver game when John Elway tried to get the crowd to be quiet. Didn't work so well.

That was a long, long time ago. I don't think there is any mercy today with all the silent counts and headsets and guard taps and qb foot stomps. I don't think visiting teams did stuff like that back then.

Still, I love rocking stadiums.

Oh, I know. It's not relevant to today, which is why it's fun to look back on it and see what a night game at Arrowhead looked like when Elway and a referee tried to tell 80k people to be quiet.

Open up the gates to what, the parking lots? (Checks, yep.) Guess I'm used to the Patriots stadium where they prohibit early tailgating, but the lots are still open since it's also a shopping mall, and the main problem has always been the gates to get in to the actual game.

Even the gates opening time is a bit of a sham, as people often bring pickup trucks and park in long lines an hour or so before the parking games open. They just sit in the back of the trucks, drinking and hanging out with everyone around them, before the gates open and actually allow them to park. Most of them will be a few beers in before they even park, pull the grill out of the truck and get started cooking.

That doesn't hold a candle to Packer fans, they get the party started while on the road to the stadium.

I was watching Sports Center at the gym this afternoon and they said that it won't be as loud in Kansas City tonight because people will be wearing gloves and scarves over their mouths so the cheering will be muffled.

Sounds like a challenge.

So, ended up staying home since my wife was sick today.

Seems like a pretty good start for the good guys. Hill has become something special. It's a great thing when Jeremy Maclin becomes a third receiving option behind Hill and Kelse.

How is that d-bag not ejected from this game? Two different shots to the head, that time on the Sproles before he even caught the punt.

Why isn't a guy like Tannehill wearing knee braces? I don't know if that fully prevents something like this 'cause it looked like a hyper-extension from the front but why isn't that asset better protected from this risk?

The 49ers are embarrassing. Nearly 200 yards from your RB and you can't hold on to a double-digit lead in the 4th.

They should make the Rams & 49ers play on the week before the Superbowl. Losing team has to keep their entire coaching staff & front office for the next 2 years. Winning team gets a bonus pick at the end of the first round.

And the losing quarterback has to sign a year with the Browns

I honestly think the browns win before the rams or 49ers. The rams had a shot at turning around quickly until Fisher got his extension.

Wonder if they had some sort of deal where he wouldn't be subjected to being the coach with the most losses in NFL history or something.

Seems like the extension was some sort of golden parachute. Fisher did something or knows something or agreed to something behind the scenes that got him taken care of.

Sources told ESPN they believe the deal includes a team option for the Rams, who still could part ways with Fisher after the season and owe him only one year of salary.

From a story on his extension. He only had that job for four years, it felt like he'd been there an eternity, but I guess that's because of his Titans stint that seemed to last forever.

Obviously the Rams situation has changed, but I still don't think the Browns are going to be good any time soon. They don't have a QB and there's not one worthy of a top pick next year. Couple of young receivers that might be OK, pretty awful line that somehow sucks despite having the best LT in the game. Few playmakers on D and they probably add Garrett. Just don't see a massively promising turnaround in the cards just yet

I thought Fisher's extension was agreed upon after week 4 or something and they held news back. It does make some sense that the Rams wanted some protection just in case a miraculous turnaround happened and they didn't want to have to go 5 years after the season was over or something.
