No chance for Dallas. Facelift would have to give up on his boytoy Romo.

Peyton in Dallas would make no sense. They have problems, but a quarterback ain't one.

If youre gonna refer to the owner as Facelift, then go ahead and leave off that last unnecessary word as well.

WHAT????? Addai was a FA, wasn't he? And Bullitt? Didn't they just sign him to an extension? Who the heck will play SS then? Clark is a top TE, only got knocked because he got hurt last year. To me, you'd want to have a quality TE...they are security blankets to young QBs.

Brackett is probably the most puzzling of the bunch. You could see the hit the defense took when they lost their leader. But, Angerer did come on. Then again, if you are pondering doing a 3-4, wouldn't Brackett and Angerer make a great inside duo?

Ugh...I'm going to need to have a roster with me at all the games next year.

That's it....no more season tickets for me.

I have Stokley (long gone), Wayne, and Saturday replica jerseys and a Manning premier. Yep, I'm wiped out in a single season.

Will buy a Manning of his new team and a Luck when the Colts draft him. Be my first jersey purchases in 5 years!

I've always wanted seats in the front of the end zone. They are the same price as where we are now. I told dad this may be our best chance to request to move up. Deadline is next week so we'll know by then. Of the people in my area that had tickets, we are the only ones that renewed. We were there for Jeff Fucking George, we aren't going anywhere.

I think it's cute the Browns said they weren't going to pursue Manning. There was as much chance of him signing with the Browns as there was of him going to New England to be Brady's backup.

Too funny. Browns have to try to look relevant, don't they? Give them an A for effort.

Luck must be wondering what he may be getting into. Congratulations Mr. Luck, you have been selected number one overall by the Colts. Now they just need to sign another 45 players to field a team.

It came down to money and injuries. Everything I'm reading suggests they'll save a total of over $10 million on the cap (but have $38 million in "dead" cap space). The Colts have long had a very top heavy roster financially. Polian had paid 3/4 of his payroll to 1/4 of his players.

Brackett is the biggest surprise. He signed an extension just two seasons ago, but his injury last year opened the door for Pat Angerer to start. Angerer was one of the few bright spots on a bad defense. Brackett is north of 30, so that hurt him as well.

The same can be said for Clark. He's one of my favorite Colts. Never got his complete due compared to other tight ends but was instrumental to the Colts success. However, he's had concussion issues recently and had the hand injury last year. Tamme has shown promise as a backup, so Clark goes.

Both of those guys would be GREAT additions to another team.

Addai fits the Colts scheme well. He's an underrated running, excellent pass blocker, and solid receiver. But, he was never an ever down back and hasn't managed to stay on the field the past couple of years. Will be a good change of pace back someplace else. Colts ready for youth movement at RB.

Bullitt was Sanders long time backup and always did well when he came in. But, the second Sanders left Bullitt got hit with the injury bug. He's young, so I'm guessing they either don't want to pay him since his injury may keep him from being the player he once was.

Freeney is nothing but money. I find it odd that they would resign Mathis to a high extension and shop Freeney. But the cap number on them is about $7 million apart. Freeney is a year older, and most Colts fans will tell you that Mathis is actually the better player. Still, if this is a complete rebuild and the Colts are 2-3 years away from competing, why sign a 30 year old DE to a $12 a year contract? Freeney will get traded. Some contender would be wise to make an offer for him. He's not as solid as he once was, but he's still very good and could be used like Abraham is in Atlanta to keep him fresh. He's a constant matchup problem.

Very welcome. My Colts obsessiveness finally comes in handy!

If Manning ends up in Denver, I don't see them ditching Tebow. I could see situations where Tebow plays an H-back role in shotgun.

Or the Colts have decided to take RG3. He is more mobile and can throw hard. In 3 seasons he will be ready for a playoff run. In year 4 , well, we all know what happens to QBs in year 4.

Would be a huge surprise if they did that, but I wouldn't be upset about it. I still think RG3 will be a great QB.

So I can play it both ways in my head, but I'm interested to know what Colts fans think. After seeing the RG3 trade and knowing you probably could have got even more for Luck (let's say for sake of argument another second in 2013) - would you rather start over with Luck or try to win another SB with a hopefully healthy Manning and a defense that you could completely rebuild with a ton of draft picks in the next couple of years?

I wanted them to trade the pick and go all in with Manning. I don't think the team is as bad as everyone thought and they still would have been in the playoffs this season if he had played.

If my math is right, the Cardinals have an 80% chance, Broncos have an 80% chance, the Dolphins have about a 60% chance, and the rest of the teams combined have about a 50% chance.

Its more than uncertainty-they need likely three starters after giving up the most sacks in the NFL last season. They will probably draft one in the first round, and sign one or two in free agency. Not really what you are looking for if you are coming off 4 neck surgeries and near the end of your career.

Honestly, I would have liked to have seen one more run. Considering what the Rams got, the Colts would have cleaned up. Definitely enough to get some lineman and defensive help. Peyton could have easily made one more run. Sure, it would have hurt us 2-3 years down the line...but hey, we'll be rebuilding for the next few years anyway. Why not have one last stand? I really think it could have given us a decent chance.

Yeah I can see it both ways, if Luck is the next Manning then passing him up is going to haunt the franchise for a very long time, on the other hand I'm not sure empty cupboard is the way to go in today's NFL either. Not sure you want your rookie starting from day 1 and enduring a couple of very hard seasons to start his career either.

Of course there's a third option which would be Manning, Luck and you try and get the best of both worlds. Downside to that is you end up with an ugly Favre/Rodgers situation all over again, but I think Peyton has more class than that.

Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 Denver reports that the Broncos are now "95 percent sure" they will sign free agent Peyton Manning after he reached out to the team late Sunday night.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter also updated their Sunday night story to report that it's "highly unlikely" Manning will decide on a new team by Tuesday's 4PM ET commencement of free agency. So while the Broncos may believe Manning will sign with them, it doesn't sound like the move is imminent, and he's still in thought collection mode. Sources confirmed to Mort and Schefter that the Broncos and Cardinals are the two "favorites" to sign Manning. After a draining few days since his release from the Colts, Peyton is reportedly now "anxious to get some rest and return to his rehab and throwing regimen." Mort and Schefter also confirm a Denver Post report that the Seahawks and Chiefs are "no longer contenders" to sign Manning.
