First half thoughts today:

Matt Ryan's MVP season being derailed

Someone forgot to tell the Cowboys defense they would suck this year. 68 total yards for the Titans.

Cassell is not a starting QB. I know the Vikings want to take things slow, but they shouldn't. See what you have in Bridgewater right now. There is a chance you'll have a very high pick next year and it'll probably be a good idea to see what you have. You have to know Cassell isn't leading you anywhere.

I haven't seen a lot of it, but my God to the Giants look horrible.

That looked like Watkins almost sort of threw the ball at the pylon and didn't have control.

yeah you can see why he's the backup-he led a good drive but got in the red zone and couldn't do anything right (although if Ellington had turned around earlier it would have been an easy TD). Also disappointed with Patrick Peterson's play today.

Detroit scored easily on their first drive of the 3rd quarter to go up 7-6 but its been all Carolina since then. Stafford tried to launch one to Megatron that got intercepted, and they fumbled on a kickoff return, Carolina's kicker ended up making the fumble recovery. Carolina leads 24-7 and it looks to be over. That's three turnovers for Detroit today. Carolina has 6 takeaways in two games so far and haven't committed any turnovers of their own yet.

Kelvin Benjamin had a number of drops today, a couple of them pretty inexcusable. He also had one very very nice catch, but definitely not the same flash that we saw in week 1. Cam went to Greg Olsen a lot, with a lot of success, and got Cotchery and Avant more involved than they were last week too and both looked reliable.

The Browns still don't have much on offense, but Pettine's done a good job getting them to play hard and smart.

Determining possessing and a catch and at the same time trying to see where his body is in relation to OOB is more difficult in that instance cause the field of vision is shortened. The official can't widen it cause they can't leave the back line/goal line.

Seems like they often choose to just let replay sort it out by calling it a TD in situations like that.

Every time Bart Scott speaks the rest of the CBS crew looks at him like they're wondering why the hell he said that.

It's almost as if the first week isn't completely indicative of how the whole season will go.

Love to see Cleveland get that win.

Sad to see that the Lions only put up 7 points.

Why have rules if they aren't going to follow them? Harvin steps out of bounds on his 51-yard TD and the booth didn't review it.
