Look! There is an Auburn defensive play! Look! And Farley shows he has the IQ of a rock again!

I hate Farley. Despise him after last week. But because the refs didn't do their jobs last week, it's no reason to take it out on him and Auburn this week. Where was that call on the Alabama sack earlier in the game? Where was it after the Julio Jones TD catch? Farley did nothing on that play that deserved a 15 yard flag and it ultimately cost the Tigers 7 points and may have ended this game. The ref who made the call should be walked off the field right now. That was pure, 100% retribution for their own incompetence last week in the Georgia game.

The Alabama defense is showing some real discipline. They just aren't biting on any of the smoke-and-mirrors. This is about to become 28-0, and it all comes down to one team having discipline and the other does not.

I'm giddy as hell 'Bama is wood shedding Auburn, but it just hammers home how critical those two losses were.

'Bama will eat running QBs alive due to having to deal with Tebow. It's the passing QB's that will give them issues this year, see Mallet.

We are halfway to BCSgeddon. Can you imagine the howling from the Big 10 and SEC if TCU and Boise are 1-2?
(not to say Auburn can't comeback, they already came back once this year from 17 down)

As a Wisconsin fan, I won't howl. I'll just shake my head at the complete stupidity of the system. Although, in fairness, I'll still shake my head even if Auburn and Oregon are 1/2. I'm hoping all 4 unbeatens lose.

Do they plan on 'Bama turning the ball over that much? Without the TOs, this could be 38-7 at half.

Nope. Two drives, two stops. It is not a good defense, but they have made the stops they have needed to make all year. Those were critical stops, but the offense needs to score here or they are not going to have the time to make a comeback (mainly because Alabama will score again). |

I don't really have anything against Auburn, but I don't want them going to the championship game if there is a 75%* chance that they are going to have to vacate the title within a year or two.

That's as gut wrenching of loss I have experienced watching 'Bama. It was 'Bama's season in a nutshell having the ability to hang with anybody, but not having the instinct to beat the team like they should have. McElroy getting hurt was just salt in the wounds. Out of the rivals I hate, Auburn I have the least respect for. Add this to it with what I will consider the forthcoming stripping of their season and it just turns my stomach to see this.

Seems on the low side. I'm not sure what makes the most sense for those who just root for chaos. Sure, on the surface, Auburn losing would seem to aid the chaos cause. But a vacated national championship - when everyone saw it coming halfway through the season - might shake things up in the SEC and college football in general (as long as it doesn't take 5 years to happen.) |

Exactly what are they supposed to do? Here is what Cam Newton did today in the second half: 9-11 for 119 yards and 2 TD passing 13 carries for 50 yards and a TD rushing He's the unquestioned leader of a team who just ran the table in the SEC. He's the unquestioned Heisman winner. I was cheering for Bama for about 3 quarters. (this is only because of how Auburn acted last week, normally I would cheer for everything but Nick Saban) But in the fourth, I started cheering for them. What a gutsy performance. By the entire team. From the LB who never gave up and stripped Ingram to Newton being clutch on 4th and 3 with the game on the line. I have to admire Auburn and how they played. The other stuff? I'm pretty sure his dad is scum. I'm not sure if Cam is or not. I'm pretty sure every team in the SEC has money change hands on a yearly basis. It's not a matter of IF someone else in the conference will get caught again. . . it's who and when. All I know is that Cam the football player is a hell of a player and he deserves most of the plaudits he gets for his work between the lines. |

Arizona up 16-14. I think the dream scenario for me at least is BSU versus Auburn and BSU winning because it would shut a lot of people up in a hurry.
