I'm going to put a vote down now - have a conference call, then off to (rainy) Wrigley Field to watch some baseball.

Wait, that probably doesn't happen in Portal-verse. Um, I'm going to have to re-submit some tests of some sort for an as-yet-undetermined amount of time ... yeah, that is in flavor for the game, right?

Since I had to be nice to him all of last game, I'll switch gears for this one and put a 2nd vote on him ...

It seems that color does matter in some peoples eyes. I'm just a tester like the rest of you.. I think. My vote is a vote of retribution. When Julio hands you lemon chiffon, vote for someone else.

Last time getting to see the thread before departing for the day. I see my candidate is one of 5 in a two-way tie. No compelling reasons to move it elsewhere, so I'm going to hope that I blindly stumbled on someone compelling either today or in the coming days.

Good luck the rest of the way, hope that the first vote yields a positive result for us.

I never played the video game, so I am probably going to be a bit lost on the Portal related stuff. I tried to play a flash version but got bored rather quickly. Anyway, no clue who to vote for on day 1. As we know, these are always a crap-shoot. I guess if someone does not check in, then that will be the person who most likely gets my vote (although the odds of them being a wolf are pretty slim).

Unlike those who killed me in the Dungeon game, I hate deciding who should leave the game early. However, I find it easy to decide it shouldn't be me. I am vanilla, so I don't mind being in the running, but let's see who else should be in it with me.

Looks like GE, Jackal and me in the lead at the moment. I swore long ago I wouldn't vote GE for no reason after he left a game because of my blunder. So I will

You are doing so well after beginning today with some slightly challenged testers who don't know the difference between an Aperture Science Official Tester and an Aperture Science Official Party Cake and an Aperture Science Official Mary.

The following votes have been tabulated on the Aperture Science Official Radioactive Vote Tabulator and are locked in.

Have a nice day.

Narcizo - The_Jackal
KWHIT - Autumn
GoldenEagle - bhlloy, Narcizo
The_Jackal - Raiders_Army, hoopsguy, GoldenEagle

Who is voting for you because of the dungeon game, you did nothing but try to help me win by thinning out the competition. My memory goes much farther to a time when we were hunting a holy grail. That is where my pain lies.

Thanks. I was combining that with a Lemonheads reference (It's A Shame About Ray), but I didn't have the whole song title in that half, so it was a pretty poor reference, I guess.

Anyway,

VOTE GOLDENEAGLE

I want to see what happens with this things being a 3-way race, and with JAG and JR voting each other, GE is the only one who really makes that the case.

I didn't mean anyone was voting me for that game. I meant that nobody showed me any mercy in that game ;-) Still bitter.

This is more often than not my Day 1 strategy as well. But with the twist of not being able to change your vote, it would seem a different strategy is required.

Is this the case, or did the people who switched way before CF's post get their switch recorded?

Either way, bad news for trying to flush out wolves. With no vote switching late I don't know how the hell we are supposed to get anything from voting patterns. If this holds for the rest of the game I'm not a big fan. Hopefully more of a one shot or occasional deal

I don't think "no show" votes are a good idea, though I've certainly been guilty of them in the past. We leave them with no way to defend themselves if they have an important role.

Ugh - this is a bit of a jam. Would love to get some reaction from the three in the "lead". And Zinto - you are right - this will make voting pattern more difficult. I certainly have no info at this point to sway me one way or the other among the three. My other option is toss a vote somewhere else. We could at least figure out the tie-breaker mechanism if it remains that way.

I suppose I could also vote either JR or JAG and bring a 4th into the mix. Not sure what that would accomplish.

Autumn - you wanted to change your vote to The Jackal. That would have put him in the outright lead. Self-preservation only, or did you have another reason?

Just wanted to say, I did not recall anything in the rules about this and there is in fact nothing in the rules about this. It's possible this only applies for today or someone used an action to lock in votes, though I'll admit that's far-fetched.

Not saying we shouldn't assume we will be able to change votes in future days, but just getting it out there that we don't know that this will always apply.
