HR, on the current league editor, draft order screen - there is a grayed out Add button. Were you planning on making that available to add user-controlled supplemental picks or something of that nature?

Nah that is just the button for adding players or teams greyed out.

With historical modifiers enabled, I'm not getting any Wilt like 50/25 numbers, pretty standard averages actually. Should I be disabling this feature?

Probably best to close the game while testing that but it seems to be an admin thing.

3. It says failed to load; module could not be found.
Do I need to uninstall and then re-install? This might be an issue with me uninstalling the Demo after I installed the game. |

While I wait for your response, I thought this might be worth looking into:

Pretty good regular season record, nothing outstanding though. Kind of wondering why he always win CotY |

Uninstalling the demo after the install could certainly cause an issue. Wouldn't hurt to redo it.

brit - it seems the print to file button is trying to output what a college coach's card would look like - CW (conference wins) should be replaced with Playoff Wins

Ugh, going into the 92 draft I had the #1 and 2 pick before the lottery... Could have tried Shaq and Mourning side by side...
instead 4 and 5 so Jim Jackson and Christian Laettner. |

How does a player determine when to retire? Loss of skill, age, experience, or all of the above?
I've got to think it's age, not experience, right? Since a player doesn't accumulate a year's experience if he doesn't play anywhere. |

Loss of skill and age seem to be the factors. The guys that shrink to an orange/orange with age tend to go around 34, while I've seen a few guys hit 40 too.

Yeah, I asked because there was a guy that was 42 years old and Red/Red, and I wondered why the hell he was still around before realizing he was generated by the ABA starting

I just had an issue after having played 5 games. I was sending a guy to development, and when I went back to the Hot Seat all the data was lost. The calendar still showed the played games, but my record was 0-0 and the players' stats were erased.

Is it possible on the trade screen too highlight injured players in red? I don't know if it makes a difference but saves having to bounce back and forth between screens.

Any chance we could get an email reminder at the end of the season about declining player options, similar to the one we get at the beginning of the season for rookie options?

I'd say his team is constantly finishing above their perceived talent level and there are less teams at that time. Definitely seems like a few too many CotY awards though.

I've been testing out playing purely as a GM, with the rotation and strategy left up to the CPU. Small sample size, but doing this seems to result in my coach using an uptempo (10) gameplan all the time. For example my woeful expansion Bobcats average nearly 110PPG with me at GM and CPU gameplan and give up 116PPG. Sim the season again with me stepping down as GM and the same roster/coaching staff (and some non-dramatic CPU-controlled roster changes) and they are down under 100PG and giving up a little bit over.
I did the same test a few more times and saw similar results.

Same thing happens to me. I think that is why I always saw such high scoring totals with my 80's Celtics. I ran from 1976 until 2012 but didn't know if it was because I've only had 3 coaches during that time frame. Only had 4 seasons below 104 ppg in that time frame. |

I didn't play the old version, so this is all new to me. But is the deal that you can only add/deactivate leagues from the start of your universe?

So the first thing I thought of to do with this game was to re-live the glory years of ACC basketball.. I took over the Bullets in 1979 and my only rule is that I can only sign/draft/trade for players from the ACC. That isn't going to last long... in 1984 my starting lineup of Brad Davis (maryland guy from mid 70's), Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Larry Nance, and Ralph Sampson, with Mike Gminski as my 6th man, made it to the NBA Finals.
The top guys from the ACC weren't good enough to go as high as I was picking in 80-83 (Sampson and Worthy were both about 5th pick range, while I had 1st and 2nd those years), so I would trade down a couple slots, pick up future picks and get my ACC guys. This made it easy to trade up for Jordan who is first team all NBA his rookie year. So yeah... I'll come up with a new challenge after playing this out a short while longer |

Right now you can only add leagues at the start. You can deactivate a league during period after you run offseason by setting its last season to the last season played in the editor.
