I was rooting for Miami (tired of AL dominance & Saban has gotten his record) but looks like AL hasn't missed a beat.

Georgia-Clemson is a good defensive battle so far. GA hasn't choked like they are apt to do in big games ... uh oh, an interception just happened.

And, of course, the big news is the Razorbacks beat the Rice Owls and covered the 19+ spread. We didn't come alive until mid 3Q and really dominated in 4Q. Texas is next week.

EDIT: GA had 4 sacks in the last 2 series. Interception didn't hurt too bad.

Ukelele looks completely unprepared to be starting in a P5 conference (never understood the hype on him anyway). He's getting little help from his OL or his RBs but even when he has time he appears to have no clue what to do with the ball.

Clemson appears to be well short of the necessary players to be relevant this season.

The over- under on this game was 51.5. I know several people who put money on over.

Which never made much sense to me. Far too many questions about the Clemson offense for me to have bought into that.

*No, I don't bet college football, no way I'd risk money on anything involving rosters who are that immature mentally/emotionally.

It seems like a strange offense to have him play in to be honest. But since the pick six he’s absolutely seeing ghosts out there.

He doesn't appears to realize that he has more than 1, at most 2, receivers on the field at any time.

The OL play (a kind word for it) has done him zero favors but when he does have time he still looks clueless.

I swear I've seen at least 6-8 plays where 2 Clemson receivers are running the same route or end up next to each other.

If that was FSU, we get 2 personal fouls and an ejection out of that sequence.

GA had the momentum 3Q, seems to be shifting to Clemson on 4Q.

GA defense isn't swarming as successfully now.

And in the interest of fairness, they blew both calls -- the one they made AND they one they didn't -- on that play.

This is getting to the point where I’m questioning what the hell the Clemson coaches are watching. You have a massive athletic QB who clearly is overwhelmed by the situation and are playing arguably the best defensive line in the country, why on earth is he sitting in the pocket play after play getting crushed?

They looked uncharacteristically poorly coached.

Ukelele is getting no help on the field nor off.

I don't know about Clemson going on 4th in midfield with about 5 min to go. GA just needs a FG now. But Clemson should get one more possession.

Good game so far.

Twitter has pointed out a few times that Dabo did say he didn't want to coach anymore once players started getting paid.

From the looks of this offense tonight, he may have meant that.

GT loses to NIU. Illinois losing to UTSA. Montana still hanging on against Washington.

I think Ohio State exposed something in the Clemson O-line, and Georgia exploited it. I would love to think the Dawgs defense will be this good all season, but I am guessing catching Clemson early was probably a good thing. A big roll of the dice that paid off.

If the Clemson staff doesn't put forth more effort than they appeared to for this game, when you catch them may not matter.

And if they don't find someone who can do something offensively, that's a multi-loss team even in a bad ACC.

I can't even bother with #FireCollins.

He was bad but I didn't think they did him many favors with the playcallijg.

I still think they clean up in a bad ACC with that defense. They don't have to play UNC or Miami.

Either way, Clemson this loss should disqualify Clemson from the playoff. They may not play a ranked team till thr ACC Championship game.

What an absolute ass whoopin'.

Iowa was very good today. 23rd consecutive game the defense has given up less then 25 points. 2nd longest streak was 10, probably 11 now.

Offense is as advertised and the defense keeps putting out pass rushers.

It is now officially Hate week. F*ck ISU, cant wait to ruin your season.

Unless there are dramatic improvements in a hurry, I've got them losing at least 1, possibly 2, between NC State, BC (unlikely) and Pitt.

You may not have to do much to outscore them, grind it out and just hang around hoping for one break - a kick return, a defensive score, anything. And while none of those teams are particularly good, it may not take a particularly good team to beat what Clemson showed tonight.

I bet if they run the table and then take down whoever in the ACC title game, they'll be there, even in that crap league with their crap schedule. People will talk about "how improved" they are, even playing nobodies

Interesting back story of the Cy-Hawk trophy game between Iowa and ISU.

The teams were finally scheduled to play again in 1977 after a 43 year hiatus. These 5 dudes on a bowling team were drinking the PBR while bowling and one of the guys said there should be a trophy. So these guys created a trophy. They found out the Governor had a daughter at UI and one at ISU. So they went to his office and showed him the trophy and what there idea was and 2 days later there was a presser and the trophy was shown and the Gov presented tot he winner.
That 77 game had Earl Bruce as the HC of ISU. That game ISU came out in jerseys that said "Beat Iowa" on the front. Iowa went on the win.
This a very underrated rivalry. Every game is pretty close despite the quality of teams.

Jon, Tyler Goodson of North Gwinnett HS class of 19, who I mentioned to you a couple years ago (Lifetime ago?), was 1st team all B1G at RB.

Good example of how stars can be misleading sometimes. On the one hand, he was player of the year in the largest classification in Georgia (which is weighted toward productivity & success). On the other hand he came out as roughly a 3* by most.

Sometimes productivity is a better predictor than whatever the hell goes into star ratings.

On a team with a bunch of 4* and 5* guys right. He is just a spark plug.

Yep. Like usual, the offense is questionable. I heard rumblings throughout camp that the backup to Mertz was playing better. The o line still needs to gel. The RB transfer from Clemson looks decent.

I expect a 13-10 game when Iowa and Wisconsin meet up.

Tell you what if we arent 12-0 going into the champ game I may be disappointed.

Iowa has an O line that needs to develop and a QB that needs to make zero mistakes. And WRS that have to figure out how to get open. I am really happy we have 2 stud TEs.

Funny you mention this, but KF has adapted and let BF run the offense.

I like wht they are finally doing, KF has evolved from his early 70s offensive philosophy. but knows defense and a strong running game wins a lot of games.
