If I get t olevle 5: spell choice:

1). If new spells are added to my list to choos from take, any spell that appear to do a mega tone of damage, such as Fireball or Lightning Bolt


2). If new spells are added and no mega damage, look for Stoneskin and I want that. Otherwise...

3). If no new spells are adde,d get Heal again. I think we could use it.


If new spells are added, no damage, no stoneskin, wait, and I'll see if I can log on once or twice to choose a spell.

Room 11:

You enter a door. As you walk through it, you hear chants of "One man enters. Nobody leaves!"

You're in a stadium of sorts, with fans sitting high above you.

The DJ is there. He says, "Welcome to the Arena! Who wants to fight today?"

He explains that this event is for only ONE player. As a team, you must choose one of you to fight whatever he has in store.

The crowd screams for their favorite player of the team. Will you give him to them?

You cannot tell what or who you will fight. But you can prep with heals, exchanging items, etc before you begin.

Let me know who will fight. As soon as you decide, I will run the battle.

ntn, my gut says that you should take this fight. You are 6th level and I am 4th. Plus you have more HP than I do now and at max we are about the same.

Adventurer's MIGHT be better figthters at lower levels than rogues but since you are 2 levels above me that might not matter anymore. So you wanna do it? I'll give you my ring if you do. Dang I wish I was halthy or I would volunteer for it easy.

A towering Minotaur strides into the arena. He carries a large battleaxe and... Is that a health potion?

"I am Salmanesh! Brother of Balaghash. You will not make it past me."

The crowd loves it.

And then you attack.

Room 12:

You enter a small utility room - bare cinderblock walls, a table in the center. On the table has been built a makeshift rack - as in the torture device. And strapped to it is a grey bearded elf.

Above the elf stands a tall man wearing an executioner's hood.

They both turn to look at you when you enter, surprised to see you.

The elf's eyes light up. "Help me!" he says.

The executioner says, "What? I thought the DJ was diverting you guys through corridor B. Ah, well. Go on through if you must. Don't mind this coward!"

"I'm not a coward! I just ran away from a completely unwinnable combat in the last Crawl! That makes sense actually. I was looking out for the DJ's investment in me."

"Yeah, right! Seriously, guys. Good luck in the Crawl. I'll be done with this guy soon."

The elf pleads with you. "Please help me! Get me out of this mess and I can help you win. I know where all the secret passages are! And which direction is fastest!"

Your choices:

Attack the Executioner
Slit the Elf's throat
Pass on through the room

#1 will take too long anyway. Passing through will assure the elf dies AND improve our time. But if we kill him the executioner might give us something or might might attack us anyway.

You walk up to the elf who continues to plead with you for help.

Ntndeacon unsheathes his rapier. The executioner's eyes widen as he thinks you are about to attack him.

But then you slice through the elf's bare neck. Choked gargles come out from him. You can't make out the words, but you think he's trying to say something. It's probably not to wish you luck in the rest of the Crawl.

"Oh shit, man!" The executioner says. "I wanted to do that! Get the hell out of here!"

Your fame increases. You move onto the next room.

Lucky Room #13!

A blackjack game is going on. An unruly, drunk dwarf sits at the table. A large pile of gold sits in front of him. Underneath his chair is a small locked box.

On the other side of the table is the dealer, also with stacks of gold in front of him. He greets you and asks if you want to play a couple of hands.

"I know you're in a rush, but I deal really fast. It won't take much time." he says.

The dwarf scowls at you. "These assholes don't look like they can play cards anyway."

The dwarf is so drunk, you imagine that the specialist could steal the box if one of you sits down to play a few hands. And you might win a little something while you're at it. He gives you a wink.

Your fans watch you through cameras mounted on the walls. You can see them in TV monitors. They encourage you to play some hands.

Choices:
Pass on through.
Play a few hands, but don't try to steal the box.
Play a few hands, and try to steal the box from the dwarf.
Attack the Dwarf.
Attack the Dealer.
Try to kill everything in the room and take all the loot you can find.

Cf cheats. The dwarf notices and draws a sword on you!

The dealer calms him down, but you must pay 100gp to the dwarf to settle the dispute.

While this is happening, ntn tries to steal the box. He succeeds!

Inside the box is a small earring and 200gp. The earring appears to be magical. Maybe it will help?

Let me know if any of you wants to wear it.

You finish playing cards and move on. The dwarf gloats at taking money from you.

You move onto the next room:

Room 14:

You enter a small room. In the center is a pedestal on which sits a crystal orb.

You totally want to take the orb, but it is connected to the pedestal. Still, you have the ability to use the it to your advantage.

Your choices:

Spy on another team (indicate which team you wish to view).
View the upcoming room.
See how many rooms are left before the finish line.
Ignore the orb and continue through the room as quickly as possible.

You approach the orb. Abe carefully places his hands on it and closes his eyes. You see a faint image in the orb of a cloaked woman. Her skin is tight and grey. Abe mouths his question to her.

You see her nod and reply.

She explains that she cannot see the exact number of remaining rooms; however, there are approximately 20 rooms total in the Crawl.

Room 15:

You move on into the next room.

This room is empty save for a door across from you.

You inspect the door but find no handle. However, there is a small hole in the middle of it underneath the following inscription:

"Coax the door open with your sharp wit and magical tongue."

What do you do?

That doesn't do anything to the door, so you then cast a spell at the door while CF tells the following joke:

When is a door not a door? When it's a jar.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Nothing happens until ntn stabs at it with his rapier. One stab sends the tip into the hole which opens the door!

You move on.

You move through the door and into a short hallway that ends in another door. The door is locked. You hear movement on the other side of it, and realize that you may be in for a battle.

Let me know if you wish to cast spells or take any other action before picking the lock and moving into the next room.

I'll process that at noon tomorrow.
