How do you pick up a flag on that play? Jerry Jones call down to the crew?

Ten yard punts are always a key component to winning football games. They should've just went for it.

I think Mike was right on that call, but the referees want to actually want to live tomorrow.

So apparently Dez Bryant can come on the field and argue with the refs while Dallas is on defense? And it doesn't even warrant a mention from Fox?

Defensive holding on possibly the game deciding possession in successive series in your own redzone? Yep, that's Lions football.

I don't care who wins.. but it's apparent what's going on here. They call a defensive holding when you can see the DE getting held on his way to Romo.

I'd say Dallas is in the lead in terms of benefiting from officiating.

Ends up being a big break for Detroit. If Stafford holds onto that, it's 3rd and ~10. Double possession change = new set of downs.

wow, guy recovers the ball at like the Lions 20 and doesn´t fall on it ... That would have basically been game over.

Because the referee's did the exact opposite of what he predicted? It'd be less annoying if he just gave his opinion in an "I think that's PI" capacity, instead of saying "the refs Will stay with the call on the field" all the time. All his constant appeals to his authority as the NFL's director of officiating do is prove how close and debateable all these calls are and subtly undermine the on-field officials credibility.

Detroit Lions(Super Bowl Era) Playoff Record:
1 win, 11 losses. Average score: 30-18. We find a way to lose. If there's not a way, we'll make a way. Still a good season by our standards, but we have some really cruddy standards :P |

Cowboys 8-0 on the road, Packers 8-0 at home. The ol' irresistible force meets immovable object

Still a relatively young team. Will be interesting to see if this is their ceiling with Caldwell coaching.

For the last couple years, I've rarely watched anything outside of Steelers games...and those are no longer "must see". But I flipped this game on during the 2nd half, nothing going on today at home...why not Then I'm reminded why I watch less and less NFL. I don't understand it anymore. I used to. I'm 38, so it's not some "back in my day...". But really, what the hell just happened? I'm not a conspiracy theorist, and don't prescribe to the idea the officials favor one team. I just think there's too much gray on every single call now.

All my teams lost this weekend - Bengals, Cardinals, and Lions. Sad face.

Head ref Pete Morelli was instructed to make sure the Cowboys win, that's what happened. Cowboys-Packers is a marquee matchup and that's what the NFL wanted. The LB made contact with the Detroit receiver and didn't even look back for the ball. That's PI and picking up that flag was laughable.

Also told the Lions to punt it 10 yards rather than go for it on 4th and 1 in Dallas territory. The refs sucked that game for calls on both sides. |

This will be the Cowboys first post-season trip to Lambeau since the 1967 Ice Bowl.

That game made me sick. The refs should be ashamed.

Welcome to the NFL.. it's why I watch less and less. College is so much more enjoyable to me. It's apparent that the refs have a major factor in deciding NFL football games more so than they ever have. You can pretty much call offensive holding on every play and I don't think I've ever seen a ref call PI and then go and pick up his flag. Even the post game crew said the same thing. Either you saw PI and made the call and threw your flag, or you didn't and the flag stays in your pocket. If the game was in Detroit, would he have picked up his flag? |

So is Christie a closeted Cowboys fan or is Jerry bankrolling his presidential run?
