I think we (Baseball) need to not jump cross country like that. It takes too much time and we risk having to backtrack. I vote for something intermediary - like Dallas - and then move east from there if we have to.

I also doubt ardent would have one team so very far from "it" while putting the others relatively close.

I say Big D

Todd, I think everything west of Milwaukee is a waste of time. Plus we waste an hour searching any location we land in.

If we fly to Dallas, we lose an hour, then we lose another hour in our next location. We can skip Dallas altogether and land in the second location.

I say our best bet is to start south and move north, allowing the two other teams to move south.

My vote is we fly to New Orleans.

A 2 hour flight later, the group that doesn't like hockey lands in Atlanta. One hour of searching.

Total time: 5 hours.

Hey guys, NO is too far west -- go further east.

Wrong reply with quote. I intended to quote Toddzilla. Pass is not part of the baseball group so his comment did not figure into if the group went to New Orleans.

The group arrives safely in New Orleans, or as safe as they can. The six hour flight included a connection in Dallas. The group spends an hour searching the area.

Total time: 10 hours.

I'll wait to see the results of the New Orleans trip Pass.

How much time will we have left after the trip to NO Ardent?

Ardent sends us PMs about the trip results and I imagine doesn't post the results of our trips publically for a reason.

In the future, instead of giving away the results of our work and potentially helping the other teams, please keep the results between those in our group.

Thanks.

hmm. I think I misunderstood the game somehow. I apologize if I did. I did try to catch the gist of this game quickly since I usually only have a few minutes a day to do something like this with my son in the hospital. I thought the teams were to be working together. I will recheck the game rules. Apologies.

Maybe I'm missing something. Why would I not want to post the indication as soon as possible? As far as I can tell this only benefits the other groups in finding him, which is what we want. We want to find him ASAP so we can converge on the location and win the challenge. What am I not getting?

This is true. The football group is at 3.5 hours. However, the baseball group is now at 10. All three groups must reach Johnny93g before the 24 hour window for the task to be completed successfully.

The football group has 21.5 hours to reach him.
The baseball group has 14 hours to reach him.

FYI, Johnny93g did ask if he could provide clues as to where he's at, but The Mole locked that down.

Nice job with the flight to Atlanta. That seriously narrows down the target area.

I think the only possible states are:
Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

I think Nashville and Greensboro are the northern-most possible large cities left.

The group that likes football heads out of Milwaukee on Ardent Airlines. The trip is nonstop to Memphis, and takes 2 hours. One hour of searching is added for the group to search Beale Street properly.

Total time (for the group): 6.5 hours.

Here's an idea I have now that many of us are close together: What if a couple of us switched cities? Or we even moved in a triangle This could rule certain directions to move.

I think the goal at this point should be to eliminate entire states.

Again, I think the remaining possible states are:
Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

OK, as I understand The Mole, we do indeed ALL share in the prize money as it gets added to the pot.

However, the catch is, the winners of the challenge are exempt from taking The Mole quiz, right? In that case, we would want to keep the information to ourselves so our groups can win the challenge and not face elimination.

In the real life game, that provided the conundrum - was it worth it to you to potentially pass up the (real) money in order to guarantee yourself another day in the game, or do you risk losing for potential elimination but a larger jackpot? Admitedly, there is no prize at the end of the rainbow, so logic dictates that we forsake the possible money prize in favor of self preservation. However, for the integrity of the ogame, we should probably treat the prize as a "real" one and make concessions to build the pot as well.

I'd need to see Raven's agreement to this before I book the flight. The quote above isn't selling the ticket just yet.

I wasn't voting for Greensboro. That wouldn't be wise, as we have used the most hours so far, and we are the furthest away.

AE, can you explain the rules as far as Todd was referring to in post #190?

As requested:

It's the goal of the team to save Johnny93g. The first group to get there should not expect any benefits. As above, for the integrity of the game, the team should make all efforts to treat the prize as real.

So if all three teams reach him in time, the money gets added to the pot.
If any team does not reach him in time, no money gets added to the pot.

I got that part. Is that the only incentive to get there in time? In other words, are any teams exempt from The Mole quiz after this event?

Thomkal, I'm thinking we may want to go further south -- we've still logged the fewest hours, so maybe we should go all out and do Miami? That might help us figure out where it is north and south? I don't know my geography very well, but isn't Charlotte pretty close? What would we gain from it?

The only reason I had to go to Charlotte was the moved franchise locations. I think Miami is fine because I just took a look at Johnny's profile. Amongst his favorite teams are the Miami Dolphins. Since he was in our group originally before the Mole kidnapped him, maybe that's the link we need. So I'm willing to try Miami and see what happens and come back to Charlotte if we need to.

The group that likes football arrives in Miami just 2 hours later. 1 hour is added to search the area.
