I went into a room with 8 ghouls! I started with 9 hit points. They hit me down to 5 hit points. I used a healing pot to put me at 30 hit points and then they proceeded to take me down as I slowly killed each one.

All said and done, 8 dead ghouls!!! And I gained a level, ding level 4!

Once again, almost no drops, just a simple garrote.

I was oh so close to being dead. I had killed 6 ghouls and was at 2 health, if either of the ghouls connected I would have been dead. Fortunately I managed to kill the final two ghouls without being hit.

You didn't pick any healing spells? I am surprised--healing spells are really useful in this game.

The potion is a nocturne potion. I just saw it on the djinni list and was wondering what it might be. Then it hit me. It's like an energy drink. It allows you another action during the evening phase...no sleep required. A little more expensive than the energy drink, though. It runs for 100 gold.

The chain mail, well, is awesome. It chain mail of blending. Better than chain mail for its protection, and allows you to ambush eligible creatures as if you were a level 1 scout in all combats. 900 big ones for this.

okay caught up now! And good news party members, I too got some XP from the monks in the church there and I'm now Level 2! Probably going to take the Floating Disc spell so I can carry all this stuff people keep sending me to ID.

And even better news my healing woes are over for now with what else the monks can do for us. Did anybody else have a nice room in one of the corner spots on the first level?

DT, I'm gonna get healed (I'll be at 8 hp then) then buy some herbs. If you want to throw some gold my way, I won't say no, but only if there's nothing in that nice djinni sale that doesn't interest you.

I picked up a Garrote. It's valued at 150 gold, it's not magical, but not inspected. I'm willing to trade it, but I need the gold so I can get a healing pot at today's sale. Anyone interested or should I just sell it to the Djinni?

Yeah, but I have a max of 40hp now and will be entering the second level soon, so I'm not sure 10 hit points is enough so I'm very low on HP already. Even a healing pot won't put me at full health.
