After the shocking events of yesterday, people gather tepidly. After brief frustration centered at Mauboy's poor decision, the gang quickly piles upon DaddyTorgo. Without much resistance, he admits he works for the Company, and slices his own throat.

DaddyTorgo was Nathan Petrelli, working for the Company!

After the exciting results of the day, killing off yet another Company member you are curious as to what may lie ahead. You wake up and follow your routine, turning on the news. Nothing but gumdrops and lollipops though as your hear stories of good samaritans and politics.

Guess not much happened overnight.

Day/Night 8 has begun, votes and actions are due at 1 PM EST on Thursday, 3/13.

Schmidty has and keeps gaining multiple powers, he didn't vote which means Zero night actions.

noone was killed last night.

Up to this point Sylar has seemed to get kills on even-numbered nights. I think that is as likely an explanation as anything else on Sylar not getting a kill last night.

Remember, Schmidty is claiming a very public role. He declared it late, but it is hard for me to imagine a "Heroes" game that doesn't include Peter. He, even more than the cheerleader, was the focal point of Season 1 on the show (imo).

Hmm, I'm wondering if Sylar gets the one-time power when it has already been used? If not, I'm wondering why he would target Mauboy.

Fundamentally, Sylar needs to get down to four players. There are several players that are going to be tougher to night-kill (me, Path, Schmidty) so why waste the day-kill on someone that he could get at night?

MrW, do you have any information that you can share on other players? I know you have been publishing your lists on "Not Sylar", but I think we are past the point where secrecy is the best policy. Obviously you know better than I do the risk/reward in publishing your powers, but you could potentially help build trust and provide information we can all interpret (instead of just you) by going public.

If not on Day 8, then at what point would you disclose info?

Another note - Schmidty would not have needed to kill Mauboy to get his power, as he had already absorbed it the previous evening.

Obviously you can disregard this if you think he is bluffing, but take a look at all of his reveals of powers over the course of the game - do you really think that he was making up powers? Do you think Sylar is acquiring powers without killing?

I'm going to need one hell of an argument to vote for Schmidty today.

Add Jackal to the list cleared by the seer and we are continuing to tighten the vice on Sylar.

I think we have, at points in this game, worried about conversions but I've never seriously considered the idea that Sylar could convert someone. So we should be 100% able to trust our seer clears as not Sylar. If this is true, I think it is almost mathematically impossible for him to win.

The thing I need to weigh with announcing my power is whether the risk of Sylar taking it outweighs the importance of having it known. At this stage, I'm still sort of feeling like it does.

I don't have any special information about anyone. I knew that a couple of people weren't Ando (they're already dead, as I recall). I knew that SnDvls was Ando. He's already dead. Other than that, I'm just playing a vanilla game of WW.

If your power is such a danger for us, and there is no vouch whatsoever on you, then it makes sense for us to lynch you rather than risk your being killed at night. The only real candidates I don't know anything about are you and clap (and Neon to some extent).

Man, sorry for the lack of a vote yesterday.

I left work early last night because I had a seizure, fell and cranked my head on the floor. I have epilepsy but hadn't had one in ages. I didn't take my meds two days in a row, and boom.

I've been asleep since I got home last night at around 2am. I've still got a big headache, so I'm probably going to lay down again soon.

Thomkal observed him in a trance the night before he died, if I recall correctly.

Two thoughts on RendeR = Sylar.

3. Jackal - Neon vouches as inactive on night of kill (was that a Sylar kill? I think it was ...), RendeR scanned as good
4. Path12 - no vouches on ID, but Grey (hero) says he attacked him with his power and Path lived, supporting Adam Monroe claim
5. Grey - RendeR scanned as good, Path vouches for use of power
6. Schmidty - has anyone scanned him yet?
7. Neon - has anyone scanned him yet? Has demonstrated power by initiating chat with Jackal
8. Chief Rum - has demonstrated power by chatting with RendeR
9. MrW - unscanned
10. RendeR - viewed in trance by hero Thomkal

Ten players left, three of them scanned as good (not Sylar, not Company) by RendeR.

I think we've been pretty fortunate that the kills have been largely on people that were not 100% trusted.

hoopsguy General Manager Join Date: Oct 2000 Location: Chicago	Clap, if you can find the post numbers that would be really helpful. Normally I'm pretty good about trudging through these looking for that kind of stuff, but I'm getting pretty crushed at work lately ... even when I'm at home, sadly.
