Wonderland Characters Part Two: The Dormouse
Master of Hypnosis and the Night If you see a Dormouse Taller than a titmouse Sweeter than an old grouse Odder than a small house If you see him turn and run For with you he'll have some fun For into your eyes he'll peer There you'll stay for forty years Fear his gaze and spinning eyes Or else you'll be petrified Old man Parker he did learn Found the Dormouse in his barn Aimed a gun between his ears But the dormouse disappeared In an instant he was gone Now the man's there every dawn And one more thing I should say That the mouse can fly away Teal umbrella he will raise Zoom away into the haze Dormouse wind, created gale On mauve waistcoat he will sail I forgot the greatest thing That the Dormouse likes to sing! His sweet humming takes not long Float away on his merry song And as you relish sweet songs from him You'll be another tea party vict--ACK! Last edited by CrimsonFox : 07-21-2011 at 12:40 PM. |

Can you say more about how the mechanic worked, beyond the auto wins, about who actually won a character if multiple people submitted?

Wonderland Characters Part III: The Mad Hatter
"The Eye and The Hammer" I know a Mad Hatter that gives you the eye. I don't know why he gives you the eye.. Perhaps you'll die... He acts like a fool while he swings this huge tool. "There are no rules!" says he with his large tool. He wields his huge hammer and gives you the eye. I don't know why he'd give you the eye Perhaps you'll die... The old hatter's party entices you in He'll pull out your chair and bow with a grin Then the hatter will wield an enormous wood hammer Which he'll conk and he'll squonk and then bonk him and slam her He wields his huge hammer and give you the eye. I don't know why he'd give you the eye Perhaps you'll die... And if you're unlucky he'll brew up some tea Dumb you must be if you drink the mad tea He'll serve you some tea and cackle and stare But you'll forget how you got in the chair As he comes up behind with his gigantic hammer That will bash you and mash you and bonk him and slam her He wields the large hammer and gives you the eye I don't know why He'd give you the eye Perhaps you'll die... And then the Mad Hatter conducts his unsong And you won't have long if you hear this death song He'll conduct the song as the pots come alive And the time will be short if you want to survive. As you're bruised and confused by the mouse and the hare Who distract and retract as you forget where you were looking just now until you see a hammer As it slams in your face with the force of a rammer And as you forget all your votes and your actions Your skull will explode from your head in small fractions Then he'll sip from his teacup and give you the eye And watch you die... Sure I will say I probably would do this differently if doing it again as it was probably too random, though I think it turned out ok anyway. First off, attack always took precedent over interactions. Attacks had a 50% of success, but dealed 4 damage if not successful. For interactions, each day, each character had a specific trait they looked for. For example, most HP, least HP, most missing health, weakest AP. Or a character related preference such as female character, male character, weakest character, strongest character, military type affiliations, evil character, etc... |

Chubby attacked me just to throw an attack on me to throw out a wolf on wolf vote. I intentionally helped kill cookie monster because I was pissed that cookie monster killed me. And it was only one damage so if anything it was another good wolf on wolf thing that might help either of us later. Unfortunately EF was the only one in the game doing vote analysis.

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAZY good intuition, Dubb. I've never seen you this good! Usually you're yelling at people.
Only thing you got wrong was "WHY" I took out muppets on my way out instead of voting for tyrith. I would have voted for tyrith if this was a normal game of werewolf, but not one with HP. I took out muppets because I was totally ineffective in this game and didn't get to use any of my abilties (except maybe the hammer a couple times) and just wanted to kill SOMETHING effectively. Hence, MUPPETS MUST DIE! (Yes I've already apologized to Autumn! ) |

That NK surprised me. I was starting to lose faith in him with his weird questioning of me, plus it wouldn't have taken much damage to knock him out other than whichever got the defense boost. |

I was so pissed at myself for alowing the Hulk thing to spook me into changing off Jackal. I felt confident that Chubby was a wolf and was going to be all over him the next day; then I got killed. By that time I thought Jackal was the other wolf as well (thought was floundering between JAG and he at the time I moved the vote to Hulk). Then I looked at JAG again and he just looked more like an over-zealous villager than wolf.
Good game village. Thanks for the game Danny, had fun once I got past the initial confusion. |

I was surprised as well, about my night kill. I knew I was going to start getting votes. Really I just wasn't able to have the time to be in game, and so my game was off. JAG, I just couldn't tell about you, you didn't seem your normal villager self, but then again you usually ping me hard as a wolf, so I couldn't decide what that was about. I figured the wolves would keep me around. A couple stray votes my way and I would have been a free kill.
Hopefully I'll do better next game, I just got overwhelmed with work at this end. |

Thanks I think I played this pretty well as a villager here. Not sure I was getting elected village seer while being a wolf good, but I felt good with my reads. I honestly just played it by ear and decided I wasn't buying excuses was just going with my gut. I was really surprised you guys let me go on as long as you did. Great game Danny. I think I have been harder than anyone on you in the past when some of your games didn't balance well and I think I owe you an apology for that and huge props for a great and fun game here.

And yes, that was a great performance. You managed to convince me to fake like I was going to night kill you in order to help prevent the wolves from killing you. I finally figured it out the last day and I think I had all the wolves nailed, but it was too late then. |

The wolves sadly never had interest in night killing me so I could use jaynes passive skill to save me. I guess I never cleared myself enough to warrant it and I always find a way to kill myself as a villager.

Nah, I'd rather have it end that than waste all day trying to convince people not to vote for me and die anyways. As Danny already knows, I made the decision that we needed Jackal and myself to be able to win. I just didn't see us winning 1 on 1 which was why I pushed so hard to try and save Jackal when he had too many votes. I originally submitted to kill Zinto last night but chnaged my mind when I came up with a good story to tell today: I was going to argue that Zinto was the last wolf and that he had cleared BK to gain trust, then kept him in the game linking himself too him "we're either both wolves or neither are" before finally killing him when it was time to win the game (how else would you think BK stayed alive that long) Who knows if it would have worked but I also thought I could stall since Grover had 3 HP and Oscar had 3 HP but 2 from his ability. I don't know who I would have killed tonight if I was still alive. I'll try to answer questions posted thru the day but feel free to repost them and I'll answer |

No, a night kill would not have worked either, but you would have got a message that would have made that clear, so there wouldn't have been any chance of wasting more than one kill.

What would have happened if you had picked DV as a wolf? Pick someone else I'm guessing? I couldn't NK mau or DV so if I had talked them into killing zinto (i wouldn't have NKd him tonight) I would have had to waste at least 1 NK. I'm happy I was right in guessing I needed Jackal with me to win. |

I definately factored in def/AP when attacking another wolf of being willing to take an attack because I knew it'd heal. also, I won McCoy that day which gave me a 3 HP potion I gave to Jackal. That helped a TON! |

Yes, DV was a neutral so he was the only who couldn't be a wolf.
Actually if you talked them into killing Zinto you would have won, even with a night kill block by Mau. Cause DV would have been out of the game and then it would have been 1:1. The key for the village was Darth night killing you because I'm pretty positive they didn't have enough damage to kill you in one night., especially since they thought Super Grover would be tougher to kill. You had 3 health each with 2 armor on Oscar for the day. Mau had 2 attack power, Zinto 2-4 (with Hercules) and Darth 1-5. My guess they did something like Mau and Zinto on Grover and Darth on Oscar. Unless he randomed 5, you would have survived the day. Then it would have come down to nking Zinto or Mau for the win as Darth expires. |

The only that really had a solid impact was the Hulk, and the village should have saw that coming. Hoops posted Hulk's exact abilities and stats day 2 and the villaege still decided to pile on Hulk knowing he had not attacked and it would be random. |

true. Yeah, I didn't think they'd be able to kill me in one night but I had no clue about DV "expiring". How much damage would I have done with Dick Solomon, could I have killed Zinto on my own or was his damage random? |
