I'm getting a little drunk tonight....I had one of those awesome days at work..where you're covering someone else's shift, you feel like you're gonna pass out from heat, and there's a huge rush of customers. I need to unwind.

Some cheap Brandy and PBS for me tonight. We have...

8PM: 'The 49th Star: Creating Alaska,' Alaska's journey from Russian territory to becoming America's largest state.

9-11PM: 'The Blair Decade,' British Prime Minister Tony Blair's rise to power.

I'm not drunk right now, but last night... man... let me just tell you that there are some advantages to having a flatmate who not only brews his own beer (and very seriously, I might add), but also has a beer tap setup in our lounge room.

roomate or housemate. Many people will call someone a roomate even when not literally living in the same room.

Ahh ok. We use housemate as well, but roommate is usually reserved for a literal roommate., but I think the reason why flatmate isn't used in the States is because I don't believe you guys ever call units/apartments "flats"?

We do, and I have heard "flatmate" used before.

yeah, im sure some people here use it. But "apartment" and "roomate" will be heard roughly 10,000% more than "flat" and "flatmate"

I'm finishing up here helping out with the network at my friend's startup, then it is time to get things rolling!

working out pretty damn good at the moment, just enjoying the Piston's 2-0 lead over the Cavaliers and especially enjoying my Military Special Rum.

It was a buddy of mine's birthday this week, so a group of us went to an Indian restaurant in downtown Austin. I guess one of their signature drinks is a mango and ginger infused martini. I had a few of them, and now I can't get the taste of raw ginger out of my mouth, no matter how much mouthwash I use or number of times I brush my teeth.

You aren't the one who can't get the taste of raw ginger out of their mouth. Which is amazing since I had lamb vindaloo. I figured that would have burned anything out or overpowered the ginger, but no dice.

Last time I had a bad taste left in my mouth, I insisted on a comp'ed out pineapple juice.

Between the pineapple and the freeness, it worked quite well

I hear ya amdaily... I need a drink badly. Preferrably some sort of hard liquor but I don't have shit in my refirgerator I was considering getting some wine coolers from Walmart but decided not to. Anytime I have liquor in my system I feel the need/urge to have chips so I passed.

Hmm... I think I'm gonna buy some Tito's vodka tomorrow before I go back to work. I should seriously take advantate of my 4 day weekend.

Yup, it's almost like a 5 day weekend because I don't go into work until Tuesday at 10pm.

I think you and I are the only people in this thread anyway. Bust out with your stories amdaily, I'm here.

Started with Pinnacle grape vodka (you won't find better; and yes, I know it is French!), then some MGD's, but right now, cheap E&J Brandy. Good stuff, considering the price.

The stories involve love, you know, real true love.

Like that person you meet totally randomly. The one whom find everything you say is funny and/or intelligent. They actually pick up your phone calls, and make you feel a bit uneasy as you dial in their number.

The one whom you want to lye next to while watching an overly long movie; the one whom you find yourself falling asleep thinking about night after night, even when they are miles away.

That'd be a pretty great feeling...

Ahh yeah... warm fuzzies and the anxiousness-kinda feeling you get right before a date and the excited feeling you feel in the pit of your stomach when you see them approaching you... yup. I remember feeling those when Ant and I were dating.

Than vegan perhaps, I see nothing wrong with milk/cheese/etc and it will never leave my diet.

But the whole meat thing, think of all the waste it leaves behind in the body. Hardly a moral issue in my mind, I'm just concerned that the damage it is doing to me.

As for the former, yeah, sort of. I finally felt that again, for the first time in some two years. She totally convinced me of it as well.

Then she mysteriously leaves and a few weeks later is fucking some Ecuadorian...

Sort of destroyed my trust in humanity, don't know if I'll ever be able to trust again.

I think it would be a great idea to spend some time in drug rehab, I mean with real pot heads an drug fiends... to give oneself a real perspective on problems out in the real world.

Anyone wanna come with?
