No, my argument is that when asked why he'd reveal when the wolves would want to kill him since they would know only he could steal the book back he said he hadn't thought about that and didn't realize that Telle had been the bearer of the Necronomicon.

Sure, he's just an arcane book collector. Nothing even remotely evil with that. Lots of people collect stuff but trust me, no way the Order of R'lyeh lets someone hold that book that's not being corrupted by it. Miss that kind of power? I think not. Clearly you're not trying to say that he was saying having the book didn't matter?

So, none of the three known good people thought you were the Arcane Collector Pass. That's not so good for your argument that it was obvious.

There's no use continuing this one. You're spinning so fast that I'm afraid you'll get thread burn.

The point isn't specifically Telle it's the fact that the books clearly had the book.

I would go back and pull quotes, but frankly I just don't feel like doing that right now. Suffice to say that once he started asking questions about majors and pushing Telle as the lynch I went back to the rules and tried to figure out where he might fit in, and that's what I came up with. It seemed clear he had some sort of role. That was just my guess. I wouldn't have mentioned it if he'd been up for lynch because I have no way of knowing.

Correct sorry. Keep in mind when pressed, Pass said he was joking about that part.

Sometimes I'm confused but I'm not confused about which one I believe is the wolf.

It sounds like you're putting words in Jets mouth -- all he said is he wins when the students win, right? Why are you pushing so hard for him?
I don't think I said I was joking about that -- my jokes are usually completely off-topic. I was joking about olie calling it obvious when I said that. |

Going out on an unpopular limb here, but I velieve Pass. The quote back in the 1400's about Alan not going after him and Alan telling the truth (something along those lines, not going searching at the moment), for Pass to make that kind of comment as a wolf would be plain stupid and he's not a noob. That would be something I might do to be sneaky, but even I wouldnt' because it would cleary be bad bad bad. I think he was just trying to be sly and say he's not worth killing, or not on the list of those to kill (villagers). Gut says Pass is telling the truth.

Here's the part that bothers me. Let's say Pass is a R'Yleh lovin' wolfy bastard. It's clearly stated in the rules that there are at least one of all the listed roles. He's got three of his fellow baddies gone. Why on earth do you assume ANY risk and make a fake reveal? Now is the time to bury yourself, and bury yourself deep.

So that one post wipes out all the inconsistencies since then? He was too good a player to make that truthful statement but a tactical mistake but he isn't a good enough player not to keep contridicting himself since then? I guess it's possible and I'm not trying to convince you you're wrong but I'm not about to buy it myself.

Contrarywise, if you're the wolf why do you blow your cover to counterreveal when you can just kill pass assuring he can't steal the book? I honestly can't figure out either motive but the preponderance of the evidence states that Pass has more inconsistencies in his story and since I don't trust either one of them, I'm choosing to vote for the more inconsistent.

It's like the part about thinking I was talking about Olie. It makes no sense. Read the posts. Everything I mention you have a tortured explanation for. Never the most obvious one. Maybe contradiction is the wrong term but you have either the wrong term, or the wrong idea of what was being discussed all the time.

I believe I just said contradiction may be the wrong word but you don't have a straight answer for anything and every explanation you offer requires a great suspension of disbelief.

And in ten minutes, I'm out running, then to figure out dinner, then spend the evening with lurker (my wife). I'll try to pop in and answer any questions, but if you really want something answered, best to ask now!

This post after all the pushing and shoving and cajoling I had to do to get people moving on EF and being proven correct. Really bothers me. Still. Add that to today's constant floundering around answers and meanings and reveals and frnakly pass. I'm not buying your story right now. You're normally a very straightforward fact by fact player. You lead conversations and you post page long derivations of what is known and what it could mean. In this game you've been evasive, accusitory and haven't really posted anything longer than a paragraph at any given time. I'm hoping Racer and Mrs. S take a good long look at you soon. You're making my guts churn every time you post. |
