If you bet "Score in the First 90 seconds" of the game, you are cheering at +850. As you are if there was going to be a safety (+600).

And God only knows what the line was for "Safety being first score of the game"

Running towards the wrong end zone after the fumble recovery beats it.

Looks like first score being a safety was +115

Maybe if it was +1150, it'd be close. +115? No freaking way.

Considering it was 50 to 1 when it happened to Tom Brady.. you have a point there.

1st observation, was Namath drunk again (nice catch and continuation by the ref, didn't seem to miss a beat)? 2nd observation, what the hell was he wearing? I guess he heard all the talk of bad weather and thought it must still be 10 degrees?

I'm seeing 50 to 1 on the safety from seattle first.

source: Cousin Sal column so not exactly the best.

Remember, it was only two years ago that the first score was a safety as well.

Seattle may regret not being able to get seven points out of that Denver mistake.

Since Russell was airborne it is where the ball crosses the sideline not where it lands in the white. It was close but I think they got it right. Had he had a foot down inbounds he would have gotten the extra bit in the white and got the 1st.

Pretty sure this is a big series for the Broncos defense. Dont think Manning wants to be playing catch up already. Things going perfect for Seattle at the moment.

If you leap and touch the pylon it's a TD. Are the rules different in goaline?

only buck and airman would argue about a theoretical grounding play when anyone with eyes could see the eligible receiver in the vicinity

Yes. In short the goal line is extended and a TD is awarded if the ball is across the goal line extended if the player has a foot in bounds or if the ball or player touches the pylon.

I guess only being down 8-0 is not bad for everything going against you. Seattle will probably lose now, they needed to be up 16-0 by now
