Duke v Kentucky redux, except that Kentucky won't get that far

CBS is spending way to much time quibbling over the #1 seeds, who gives a crap.

's Okay talking heads, I think having Syracuse be a #1 over WVU was a mistake too, ain't nobody gonna be happy.

I really, really dislike the discussion on the #1 seeds before releasing the brackets. I know this is not a first-time thing this year, and I can understand the logic in drawing out the release of the other brackets, but I would much rather have discussion about the brackets as a whole than focus on four teams in a vacuum.

West Eastern State should have been at least a #13, maybe even a #12 in a weak year like this one.

Interesting to see UT seeded so low, not because I think they're actually better than that but because most projections had them up to a #4 or a #5 at worst.

From their reaction I think they felt they deserved a higher seed as well.

Not necessarily since the Syracuse bump down/Duke bump up might indicate a latest-performance bias.

Umm ... yeah.

Might work out well for R1 though, as they can play a little bit when they have some sort of chip on their shoulder

I see no chance for them vs G'town though.

If Syracuse handles Gonzaga (assuming they win), this is a pretty easy bracket for them, right?

It's funny, I remember over the years the shot of "name revealed and then team on camera going wild" only coming from the bubble teams. Now it's the small schools who already know they're in going nuts.

Ugh. Marquette is a really tough matchup for us. From what I have seen they have great guard play which can really neutralize our quick scoring guards.

and FU Seth Davis for assuming MArquette will move on to play New Mexico

Wow, as much as I didn't like Kentucky to go as deep as a #1 should, I don't see anybody in that region I'd pick over them except WVU.

The West bracket is total garbage, especially in comparison to the draw that Kansas has.

I'll be interested to hear the logic from anyone not sending Kentucky/WVU to the Elite 8 in their bracket(s).

Utah State getting the 12 in the South surely does it for Miss State and Va Tech.
