One final thing, and I've been saying this every day since I started becoming prime suspect. When I'm dead, please consider how Ardent managed to be so sure of my guilt. It's one thing if he'd been a little hesitant, but no, he's POSITIVE.

I just don't buy your story, coder. I caught you in a lie. You know it. You're done. I can't believe you've lived this long.
I'm sick, and I'm not going to talk to you anymore. You're about to go on my ignore list.

Wanted to edit, but I changed my mind. He should be replaced if he's a wizard but deemed a suicide if he's a DE.

Having read everything, including AE's summary, Coder's defense, I'm not sure. But the final deciding factor is his reverse psychology which I'm not a fan of. Therefore:

another morning, another dead wizard, and another day full of anger...things are a bit different at the Wasted Wizard Inn tonight as you all sit around waiting for the Dementor to appear. Tonight he is preceded by several pearly white, translucent forms that glide into the room through the walls. The ghosts of blade, schmidty, and neon chaos have appeared and what was about to become what you hope would be a scene of death for a Death Eater quickly deteriorates into what strongly resembles a NAMBLA meeting. The ghosts of schmidty and neon sob uncontrollably on each others ethereal shoulders, and after a short time, float up the stairs together to one of the private rooms to do whatever it is ghosts do with one another. The ghost of Blade can be seen with the still living Desnudo, both also trying to figure out how to embrace each other since one is dead, the only discernable words through the tears are "I love you man", "No I love you man,'Yeah but I really love you man", "not as much as i love you man." All this time, the ghost of Lathum is trying to figure out how he can get drunk again, since obviously ghosts cant drink. After everyones noses are blown, hands are held and tissues are thrown away, you all remember that there was a point to tonights gathering....The Dementor has returned, and much unlike the past few nights coder stands like a man as it enters, inviting it upon himself. He glares at those who have cast votes against him, despite his continued arguments, "Maybe this will teach you all how a Wizard in the fight against evil should behave!" These are his last words as the Dementor is upon him, siphoning off the divine essence of the man. Coder's body hits the ground, and no one moves. Everyone is anxious but this final act of defiance has created more doubt that confidence. Finally, one arm, then the other is checked for the Dark Mark, and it is an anguished realization that you come to when it is apparent that Coder was nothing but a simple Wizard. Several of you dash quickly to his chambers, hoping beyond hope of finding some indication that he was actually a Death Eater, but none can be found.
Day 8 has ended. It is now Night 8, night actions due by 9:30 thursday morning. Last edited by saldana : 01-18-2006 at 08:46 PM. |

Here is a potential theory:
I actually see 2 potential routes to take in grouping DE. Either Group 1: RA AE Jeeber Taz - potentially Or Group 2: WVU/Thomkal Dubb Group 1 = all voted Qwik and then stayed off Sun Group 2 = If WVU was bad, then both Sun and WVU were on the block and the DE were losing one no matter what. That would have given Dubb a reason to go to Sun, the guy with the most heat or probability on him. If Sun survived via tie breaker or whatever that would give him a chance and WVU would look clear. Dubb reminded me that I could change the vote after the deadline. Maybe he wanted me to change it, hoping I would not choose WVU then both DE would survive. WVU was the first person to be replaced by Saldana, making him the most likely DE of the three dropouts. But then the cloak issue is a problem. Of course, the real cloak wearer (if not WVU) could have initially kept silent (very bad move) only to be killed before coming forward. It is just something to think about. Or you could just lynch WVU and test the theory. Actually, looking back, we should have lynched WVU right after the Sun debacle to ensure we were going down the right path. We ended up lynching 6 wizards that Neon claimed were the “bad” group. |

it was a quiet evening after the NAMBLA events of last night, and oh yeah, the death of another wizard at your own hands. Luck cant really be all this bad can it? There has to be some sort of curse causing the string of disaster after disaster. No one sleeps, just waiting for that which you all know will come eventually, unsure of what to expect after the raw mockery that the Death Eaters made of you the night before.
Again, a raucous amount of noise brings you peering out the windows to see who the unfortunate soul being used as a toy by Evil is tonight, secretly thankful that it isnt you. You see a form zooming back and forth zipping back and forth in the air, almost doing laps around the fountain in town square. It is hard to make out exactly who it is until you notice the emerald green Quidditch robes with silver wings on the shoulders. It is Eaglesfan27, dressed out in his professional quidditch uniform, and it is apparent that the Death Eaters are familiar with his former team, the Corning Cornish Game Hens, but not necessarily fans of them. As the body of Eaglesfan27 zooms past the windows and into fuller view, you notice his mouth is bulging, seemingly jammed full with a large object. as he smacks with finality into the monument centered into the fountain and his head splits in two as a melon would be by a cleaver, you see a glint of gold fly off in several directions. It appears that the Death Eaters stuffed as many as FOUR Golden Snitches into Eaglesfan27's mouth, resulting in his uncontrolled choking to death...the monument was just insult to injury. Nothing of note could be found in eaglesfan27's room except huge closets full of the emerald and silver paraphernalia and hundreds of boxes of tissues. it is day 9, lynch votes are due by 9:30 eastern. (sorry eaglesfan, my dad is a big fan too, had to do it...thanks again for helping out, you should try to play the next game) Last edited by saldana : 01-19-2006 at 10:02 AM. |

That really was not a nice thing for the DE's to do to Eaglesfan.
Gram, As for your wild theory about WVU/me being a DE, I think you need to rethink things there. No one has come forward about the cloak and surely someone would have when WVU first brought it up. WVU had the cloak, used it as he described, and from that point was just a wizard with no powers or abilities. I did not push for a vote on Coder the Wizard as others who voted for him did. I remain a powerless/itemless Wizard. As for Dubb, someone suggested that he was going back and forth on that vote for a reason, and I like that idea. I think he could be a DE who when it became clear that SnDvls was going to be the lynch victim that night, switched back to him in the last hour to make himself look like he was on the good side of things. The last four people who voted for WVU all turned out to be wizards, not DE's, and as I said in my previous post there had to be some DE's voting for WVU that day as they simply could not afford to lose a second of their number so quickly in the game. So your group 1 with the exception of Taz is looking pretty good to me right now. Raiders, Ardent, and Jeeber all voted for WVU, and looking at their voting records, both RA, AE, and Jeeber have not voted for a single DE. Coder also did not vote for a single DE, but as he said continously throughout the game, he was new and thus easily fooled. RA and AE don't have that excuse. Plus RA and AE have their final vote on the same person FIVE times. That is too much of a coincidence for me. Taz I don't have enough evidence on one way or the other though he did vote for 1 DE-Qwik. VOTE ARDENT ENTHUSIAST |

FWIW, it was pretty easy not to vote for a single DE (that we know of). Maybe I'm sympathetic towards Ardent since he's in the same boat. If you didn't vote for DEs at the beginning of the game, you would have that stigma. I think that if you look back, both times I was gone for the night when the "reveal" happened (actually, the first part of the game I was gone for the night well before the lynching, so it would be impossible to switch my vote to a DE. I don't think that that should necessarily be held against me. (Can't speak for Ardent here)
