absolutely killer.

Since you include skipping commercial breaks...you can get through two football games quicker than two soccer matches doing the same.

If Brazil, Argentina and the Netherlands all make it through as expected, the round of eight doesn't look very interesting. The expected Germany/France match is great, but the other three will be very heavily weighted in one direction.

bad showmanship by the brasilian fans here booing the chileans carrying on the hymn like brasil does every game, i must admit ... And now the chilean ones do the same for the entire hymn apparently. Guess there really isn´t a lot of love in the air here

Somebody needs to beat Brazil here in their house. I like Brazil generally, they are usually a fun team to watch play, but this team is and era is different. I think the best chance of that happening is with another S American team.

Have they been dropping out the anthem music about 3/4 of the way through the whole time, or was that new.

The Semis? Nah, imagine the national emo-gasm they would have if they were knocked out today by Chile, in the Round of 16, in their home stadium!

Simply continuing after the allotted time for the hymn ends (it is never the whole anthem that gets played). Brazil does that every game since the Confed cup, i think Chile as well this WC.

good call here. Hulk merely got in front of the ball and had to stop and then went down without it being a foul. On the other end as well.

Brazil looking good early.

well deserved lead, chile looks shocked out there

not surprising that the lack of aerial prowess plays a part for chile.

Hulk needs to be replaced eventually, he has been shockingly bad all tournament. Maybe they could try him up front instead of Fred or at least play him on the right to get him in scoring positions, but on the left he is utterly useless.

Neymar has truly special talent. I have been sceptical, but he has won me over with the last ConFed cup and now theese games. He is not just a flashy player, the guy has an excellent feel for the game, works very hard as well.

If only he could cut out his rolling around antics ...

That turn of pace by Neymar is absolutely devastating, I'm in the same boat. Didn't realize how much of a complete player he was.

This really shouldn't be much of a surprise, Brazil were lucky to not draw with Croatia, could have gone either way against Mexico and Cameroon are terrible

I still think Brazil are going to poach this late, without needing a PK shootout

Julio Cesar may be terrible at crosses, positioning, handling, etc, but he is a good reaction shot stopper. So I'm going Brazil to win.
