I noticed that when a signs with a school and has just three other schools on it, there is a comma at the end of the teams list. I have only noticed this when there are four teams, not five

In stage that have multiple rounds like transfers and assistant hiring I'd like to be able to advance rounds without having to go back to the hot seat screen.
On the schedule screen I think it would be nice if it would remember the filter you have set if you leave the screen and come back. I like to check the standings and polls frequently so I have always have to re-select my conference filter when I return to simming. It'd also be handy to be able to double click a team names in a recruit's top 5 so I can quickly get info (particularly coach ratings) of teams I'm recruiting against. Similarly I'd find it useful if I could double click team names when making my schedule or when viewing CPU team schedules. |

This came up over at fbcb-fofc ...
I'm William and Mary, 32 prestige cool in the CAA. I got a freshman that looked good and then had a REALLY good TC. So.. He has an odd dynamic now. I have two e-mails in my inbox. One that he's projected as a late 1st round pick and is considering leaving after the year is out. The other that he's willing to red-shirt. Maybe this is just a really fluky thing because of the good TC or whatever, but thought I'd bring it up since it seems counter-intuitive.

Speaking of draft projections, I've noticed some discrepancies between the e-mails I get about whether a player is projected to be selected in the draft and where that player actually is listed in the Pro Prospects screen - sometimes a rather wide disparity.
Is this a bug, or intended? It's a bit confusing to know which assessment to listen to. |

Looks like the draft emails never got the tweak I made so that should be fixed now. It also should no longer be possible to redshirt a player good enough that you are getting the draft email.

question : I just recognized that in my team snapshot that the tournament stats are way off, like if they only started counting at a certain point (i did reinstall and move the game in between, that maybe a reason )
question 2 : How again do i set my computer to correctly display stats ? (the old non-american problem) If i reset my location to US i get runtime errors ... Could you please, please try to make this work for international users ? small things : Could we get Tournament records ? Last edited by whomario : 03-09-2012 at 07:11 PM. |

While we are on small fixes I noticed my most recent recruiting class was ranked 41th* instead of 41st.
And while here, any training tips on avoiding academic suspensions? I just had a player with a 57 in academics get suspended. I know that isn't the best, but it seems players get suspended often. |

I also had guys with 5 academics go 4 years without suspension, in my experience it evens out ok.

I just lower suspensions to 50% and you still see plenty. I used to run at 80% but was seeing to many, I once saw a team with 4 guys suspended at one time.

One thing I've been wondering, and think it might be so, but could also be a coincidence. But when you "cut" a walkon and add a scholarship player, does it force your player testing the waters to "declare" even if he is ranked in the high 40's? |

Just had the #1 in the final poll be a #2 seed in the tourney. That seems like a stretch even with the crazy decisions at times by the committee. This is with the latest patch.

It's very RPI dependent from what I've seen. I won the Big East regular season and conference tournament with Villanova. Was 2nd in the polls, but 6th in the RPI. I got a #2 seed. The #1 seeds were 1-4 in the RPI respectively. |

Wasn't my team, it was the #1 New Mexico Lobos (35-3, 14-2) with an RPI of 3 and a prestige of 85. Not sure where to find their SOS.
Their RPI may be higher now as I'm in the Final Four. I only noticed this because my Georgia Tech team made it and played in the other semifinal. On the way to the Final Four, New Mexico beat teams with RPIs of 132, 20, 16, and 1. Funny thing, all of the losses were to #8 Nevada, twice in conference, the 3rd in the conference tourney championship. |

Currently no. In the previous version when recruits declared earlier in the season they would leave for sure if you filled the scholarship. Now however you won't have that scholarship available until they declare. I'll be looking for ways to make the spring signing period more important in the future so it will be possible to actually fill the scholarships of early departures. |

In this case I'd expect that their RPI would've improved during the tourney. I would have to look at it before the tourney started to get an accurate picture for how the seeding worked out. If you want to post the profiles of each of the #1 seeds along with New Mexico from the season info screen that might help. Should any of them have been ranked ahead of New Mexico in the poll? |

Extract the files to your install directory. When you start the game it should say version 2.2.34 in the bottom left corner after applying the update. Version 2.2.34 (03/10/12) ************************************************************ Changes: *The schedule screen will show team seeds after the game is played for conference and postseason tourneys. (Only applies to tourneys scheduled after the patch) *Added each of the postseason tournaments to the game filter on the schedule screen. *Added a player shooting report to the team recruiting screen. *Clicking a team in a recruits top 5 will take you to that team's coaching staff screen. *Double-clicking team names on the scheduling screen will show you their roster. *The schedule filter will be saved when you exit the screen. *Added the option to use folders.ini to specify a custom data folder. Just create the folders.ini file in the same directory as FBCB2010.exe and place the following inside the file with the target directory specified and then save it: [Settings] DataFolder="C:\temp\example" Fixes: *Removed the word "stats" from the team headers on the box score *Players from human teams should be highlighted in the stats leaders. *Print screen of box score should display name and record for both teams. *Hot Seat: Use remaining recruiting budget reminder will be enabled if you have at least $350 left to spend. *Team name listings on the box score screens will replace "-" with a " " to allow multiline names to fit better. *The recruit print screen shouldn't have a comma at the end of the top 5 schools list when there are less than 5 schools. *Schedule screen filter should save if you go to another screen like polls or standings then exit back to it. *Removed word Tourney from season results on team history to make sure there is no overlap to the next line. *Players that are at risk to enter the draft should not be willing to redshirt. *Early departure warning emails should better match the pro prospects report. *Added code to make sure there are no schedule conflicts with preseason tourneys. The 18th ranked team, in a solo league I am currently playing, was not selected to the NCAA tournament. They won the regular season conference crown, but lost the tournament title game. I'm chalking this up to fluke!

I'd point to the 6 losses against teams with triple-digit RPIs, though that's still a bit puzzling.
Also, curious that 1) an 83 prestige team plays only 14 home games, and 2) the Big XII apparently stinks (only 9 games against RPI 1-100 teams). |

I noticed that when looking at your recruiting list, once kids do not qualify, they continue to show up in when you look at a list of un-offered prospects, despite selecting the viewing of "qualified only"

You're probably in "Call List" rather than "Watch List". I've noticed that the Call List doesn't respect the qualified filter.

That was intentional to avoid confusion. I did however change it so non-qualifiers will show up in red or whatever color you have set to signify an unavailable player.

Man, three years out of 8, I've been knocked out of the tournament as the 1 seed, in the first round. This is post patch.
Wait, last time I was a 3 seed, so maybe more bad luck than anything Last edited by MrBug708 : 03-16-2012 at 06:00 PM. |

I'm thinking that's bad luck because honestly I've never seen that happen in my game usually if you are a number 1 seed you destroy the 16 seed actually the more that I look at it thats an extreme case of bad luck.

I've seen #1 seeds got knocked out a few times, and it happened to me last night. In my case, I suspect the issue was as much the seeding as it was the randomness of the results - I think the team I played was probably too good to be a #16 seed (and in fact, they made it all the way to the Elite 8 before getting knocked out by the #2 seed from that region).

Yea, I'm not sure how I feel about the upsets. I posted earlier in this thread how I got knocked out as a #1 seed. I've seen it happen a few times in my 18 year dynasty I have right now. Part of me says that's way too much, but I don't think it should be impossible obviously.

a minor thing thatīs been bugging me for a while now : When starting a game, all my starters are set to "high" pressure, should be on "normal" by default (like the bench guys are when subbed in or the replacement when a guy is injured)
also, how do you guys set "key players" ? I actually have tended to not select anyone, with the team iīm recruiting it feels the most balanced. Occasionaly iīll set a couple guys to try to discourage my PG from shooting too much (in general my PGs canīt shoot much but are great passers), but most of the time i try not to forcefeed guys. I also think i might have my most fun/spectacuar team right now. Leading the nation in Points, assists and FG%, 7th in 3P%. For some reason i never look at FT% much when recruiting, only 250th in the nation and that actually broke my neck the season before when i lost as a 2 seed in the 2nd round due to going 11-30 from the FT line ... Anyway, my team just score 100+ in all 3 games in the ACC tournament and my starting SG pulled off 2 Triple Doubles in the semi and the final (25/10/13 and 23/10/12) Hoping to win it all again finally after a 8 year drought, afterwards iīll loose 4 starters and propably 3 rotation players as seniors or to the draft.
